Universal Studios Singapore (abbreviation: USS) is a theme park located within the Resorts World Sentosa integrated resort at Sentosa, Singapore. It features 28 rides, shows, and attractions in seven themed zones. It is one of the six Universal Studios theme parks around the world. It was a key component of the Genting Singapore's bid for the right to build Singapore's second integrated resort (IR). On 8 December 2006, the Singapore government announced that the consortium had won the bid. Construction of the theme park and the rest of the resort started on 19 April 2007. It is the second Universal Studios theme park in Asia, the other being Universal Studios Japan in Osaka, and the first in Southeast Asia. Official plans for the park were first unveiled to the public when Universal Studios Singapore released a map of the entire park on 20 October 2009. Universal Studios Singapore attracted more than 2 million visitors in the 9 months from its opening.The park officially began operations on 28 May 2011. Over 3 million guests visited the park in its opening year. Since then, Universal Studios Singapore has had approximately 4 million visitors every year. Most visitors are local Singaporeans as well as tourists from other Asian countries in the region. It has been marketed by Universal Destinations & Experiences as a "one-of-its-kind theme park in Asia" and that the park was the only one of its kind in Southeast Asia for the foreseeable future. According to the AECOM Theme Index Global Attraction Attendance Report, Universal Studios Singapore is one of the top visited amusement/theme parks worldwide.

Fantasy Island was a waterpark once located at Sentosa, Singapore from 1994 to 2001, on the part of the present site of Universal Studios Singapore of the Resorts World Sentosa.

Treasure Hunters is a vintage car attraction in Ancient Egypt area of Universal Studios Singapore. The attraction opened on March 18, 2010, with the rest of the park. The attraction is ideal for guests of all ages. Children under 122 cm (4 ft 0 in) in height must be accompanied by a supervising companion. The ride takes guests on a slow tour of an abandoned excavation site. Animatronic animals within the attraction include some hippos, some vultures, many cobras, a cheetah, and some Nile crocodiles.

Battlestar Galactica: Human vs. Cylon is a pair of steel, dueling roller coasters at Universal Studios Singapore. One of the coasters is an inverted roller coaster track in blue (gray from 2017 onwards), and the other half is a traditional seated roller coaster in red. The coasters, which opened in 2010 and was inactive between 2013 and 2015, reach 42.5 metres (139 ft) in height and are the tallest dueling coasters in the world. Universal Studios Singapore is the only Universal Studios amusement park to have a Battlestar Galactica roller coaster. It was the first Vekoma coaster, after the Flying Dutchman, to feature four-abreast seating that is similar to coasters by Bolliger & Mabillard.

Lights! Camera! Action! Hosted by Steven Spielberg is a show attraction located in the New York zone of Universal Studios Singapore at Resorts World Sentosa and Universal Studios Beijing at Tongzhou District, Beijing (under the name Lights, Camera, Action!, featuring Zhang Yimou and Steven Spielberg). The attraction premiered in Universal Studios Singapore on March 18, 2010, and in Universal Studios Beijing on September 20, 2021.

Madagascar: A Crate Adventure was a water ride located in the Madagascar zone of Universal Studios Singapore at Resorts World Sentosa. The attraction is based on Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation's 2005 animated film Madagascar and its franchise.

Resorts World Sentosa (abbreviation: RWS) is an integrated resort on the island of Sentosa, which is located off the southern coast of Singapore. The key attractions within RWS include one of Singapore's two casinos, a Universal Studios Singapore theme park, which is the second Universal Studios theme park in Asia after Universal Studios Japan and the first in Southeast Asia, the Adventure Cove Waterpark, as well as the S.E.A. Aquarium, which is the world's second largest oceanarium.First conceived in 2006, the S$6.59 billion (US$5.03 billion) resort was developed by Genting Singapore, and construction began in 2007. It was the third most expensive building ever constructed when it was completed 2010. The resort occupies approximately 50 hectares (120 acres) of land and directly employs up to 15,000 people. The soft launch of the first four hotels took place on 20 January 2010, with the FestiveWalk shopping mall following on 1 February.The casino began operations on 14 February 2010 on the first day of the Chinese New Year. The Maritime Experiential Museum opened on 15 October 2011 and the last attraction opened on 22 November 2012, known as The Marine Life Park. The grand opening of the entire integrated resort was held on 7 December 2012, which was officiated by the country's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong together with Genting Group Chairman Lim Kok Thay. Resorts World Sentosa is also capable of holding large-scale exhibitions.

Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase is a dark ride in the New York section of Universal Studios Singapore at Resorts World Sentosa. It officially opened on 1 March 2013.

The leaders of some countries or their representatives or spokespersons released public statements about the 2018 North Korea–United States summit. The summit received a mixed international reaction, with many countries expressing praise or hope for achieving a peace deal from the summit.

The 2018 North Korea–United States Singapore Summit, commonly known as the Singapore Summit, was a summit meeting between North Korean Chairman Kim Jong-un and U.S. President Donald Trump, held at the Capella Hotel, Sentosa, Singapore, on 12 June 2018. It was the first-ever meeting between leaders of North Korea and the United States. They signed a joint statement, agreeing to security guarantees for North Korea, new peaceful relations, the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, recovery of soldiers' remains, and follow-up negotiations between high-level officials. Both leaders also met separately with Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.Immediately following the summit, President Trump announced that the U.S. military would discontinue "provocative" joint military exercises with South Korea, and stated that he wished to bring the U.S. soldiers back home at some point, but he reinforced that it was not part of the Singapore equation. On August 1, 2018, the U.S. Senate passed the military budget bill for 2019, forbidding funding the reduction of active USFK personnel below 22,000; significant removal of US forces is considered a non-negotiable item in denuclearization talks with the North.After a period of heightened conflict that included North Korea successfully testing what it claims was its first hydrogen bomb and the Hwasong-15 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) in late 2017, tensions began to de-escalate after Kim Jong-un announced his desire to send athletes to the 2018 Winter Olympics being held in South Korea. During the games, Kim proposed talks with South Korea to plan an inter-Korean summit. On March 8, the South Korean delegation returned from the talks and traveled to the United States to deliver an invitation by Kim Jong-un to Donald Trump for a meeting. High-level exchanges between the two sides then took place, including a visit by then–CIA Director Mike Pompeo to Pyongyang and a visit by Kim Yong-chol, Vice Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, to the White House. Both sides threatened to cancel the summit after a round of joint military exercises by the U.S. and South Korea, with Trump even delivering a formal letter to Kim to call off the meeting; however, the two sides eventually agreed to meet. A second meeting was held between Trump and Kim in February 2019 in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The Capella Resort, Singapore is a luxury resort situated in 30 acres (12 ha) of grounds and gardens located on Sentosa Island, Singapore. It has 112 manors, suites and guestrooms designed by Norman Foster. It was developed by Pontiac Land and officially opened in March 2009. Capella Singapore's long-stay accommodation arm, The Club at Capella Singapore comprises 81 serviced apartments, penthouses and manors.

The HSBC Women's World Championship is a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour first held in 2008. It was played on the Garden Course of the Tanah Merah Country Club in eastern Singapore, adjacent to Singapore Changi Airport from 2008 to 2012. It is now played at the Sentosa Golf Club in Sentosa (Serapong Course from 2013 to 2016, Tanjong Course since 2017). In 2008 and 2009, entrance in the tournament was open to 78 of the world's top golfers, based on world rankings, recent tour wins, and other criteria. The total purse in the first two years was US$2 million, with the winner's share at $300,000. In 2010, the field was reduced to 63 players and the purse reduced to $1.3 million. The purse increased to $1.4 million in 2011.The purse will increase from the $1.6 million in 2021, to $1.7 million in 2022.As a limited field tournament, there is no cut and all players in the field play all four rounds. Hong Kong-based financial services company HSBC is the title sponsor of the tournament. HSBC also sponsors several events like the WGC-HSBC Champions, Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship and the former HSBC Women's World Match Play Championship and HSBC Brazil Cup.
