Kings Ripton

Huntingdon Town Football Club is a football club based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, England. They are currently members of the Spartan South Midlands League Division One and play at Jubilee Park.

The Secret Garden Party, often colloquially shortened to the SGP, is an independent arts and music festival which takes place in Abbots Ripton near Huntingdon in England. This location is on part of the grounds of a Georgian farmhouse and has its own lakes, river and landscaped gardens. The festival was launched by Fred Fellowes and James Whewell in 2004 as an alternative to the established mainstream music festivals. Since its inception the festival has increased in popularity and size, and has grown from one stage and 300 visitors in 2002, to more than 15 stages and 35,000 revellers in 2017. In March 2017, it was announced that the 2017 edition would be the last.Over its initial 15 year run, The Secret Garden Party won the UK Festival Award for Best Small-Sized Festival in 2005 and 2008, and then Award for Best Medium-Sized Festival in 2011. It also won the Act of Independence award from the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF) for its work with The Loop, a harm reduction charity which tested drugs on site during the event. This practice has now been adopted by some other UK festivals. In August 2021, it was announced that after a five-year hiatus, the Secret Garden Party would return in summer 2022. On relaunching, 20,000 tickets were placed on sale which sold out in under 20 minutes via a registration process that featured a questionnaire. The event took place from 21 to 24 July 2022 in Cambridgeshire, with the line-up announced each day of the festival. The festival has planned additional events for 2023 and 2024. The Secret Garden Party supports The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), which aims to prevent male suicide in the United Kingdom, as well as mental health charity My Black Dog as of 2022.

Hartford is a suburb of Huntingdon and former civil parish, now in the parish of Huntingdon, in Cambridgeshire, England. Historically part of Huntingdonshire, it is not far west of Wyton. It lies on the A141 road and on the north bank of the River Great Ouse, upon which it has a significant marina. The village is not to be confused with the much larger town of Hertford, some 38 miles (61 km) to the south-east. In 1931 the parish had a population of 464. On 1 April 1935 the parish was abolished and merged with Huntingdon, part also went to Houghton and Wyton and Kings Ripton.It is sometimes known as Hartford-cum-Sapley, and in the past has been known as Hereford by Huntingdon, Herford, Hertford and Harford. All Saints' Church in Hartford is a Church of England parish church, built in 1180 on the north riverbank. It is a Grade II* listed building. The church has six bells.

Broughton is a village and civil parish in the Huntingdonshire district of Cambridgeshire, England, around six miles north of Huntingdon. Broughton is situated within Huntingdonshire which is a non-metropolitan district of Cambridgeshire as well as being a historic county of England. According to the UK census of 2001 it had a population of 241, reducing to 237 at the 2011 census.

Huntingdon and Peterborough was a short-lived administrative and geographical county in East Anglia in the United Kingdom. It existed from 1965 to 1974, when it became part of Cambridgeshire.

Great Stukeley Railway Cutting is a 34.7-hectare (86-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire.The site is on the verges of a stretch of the East Coast Main Line north of Huntingdon railway station. It is calcareous clay grassland which has plants which were formerly common on the Huntingdonshire claylands, but are now scarce due to agricultural use. Rabbit grazing and occasional burning maintain the habitat.There is no public access but the site can be viewed from bridges.

Huntingdon is a market town in the Huntingdonshire district of Cambridgeshire, England. The town was given its town charter by King John in 1205. It was the county town of the historic county of Huntingdonshire. Oliver Cromwell was born there in 1599 and became one of its Members of Parliament (MP) in 1628. The former Conservative Prime Minister (1990–1997) John Major served as its MP from 1979 until his retirement in 2001.

Huntingdon Campus of Cambridge Regional College, formerly Huntingdonshire Regional College is a further education college located in the Huntingdonshire district of Cambridgeshire and Cambridge, England. The college has campuses in the town of Huntingdon and Cambridge. The Huntingdon Campus of Cambridge Regional College offers a range of qualifications including GCSEs, apprenticeships, BTECs, and access courses. Study subjects include art and design, business, computing, construction, photography, travel and tourism and hair and beauty. The college also offers a range of professional career courses including Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and CISCO. Specialist courses are run for adults with learning difficulties or disabilities. The campus offers a range of services to the public, including a hair and beauty salon, a plant centre and a nursery. Following an Ofsted grade of inadequate in October 2016, the governors decided to remove the college's senior management team. The governors decided that the college should merge with Cambridge Regional College and so the senior team from Cambridge Regional College took over the running of the college. The merger took place on 1 August 2017 and Huntingdonshire Regional College is now known as Cambridge Regional College Huntingdon Campus.

Godmanchester Nature Reserve is a 59-hectare nature reserve in Godmanchester in Cambridgeshire, England. It is managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.The site has four former gravel pits which are now lakes, together with areas of grassland, willow woodland and reedbeds. Birds include wigeons, tufted ducks, teals and great crested grebes, and there are insects such as dragonflies and butterflies.There is access to Island Lake and Roman Lake, but not to Peter Prince Memorial and Teddy's Lake. The Ouse Valley Way runs along the western edge.

Wyton on the Hill is a village and civil parish in Cambridgeshire, England. Wyton on the Hill lies approximately 3 miles (5 km) north-east of Huntingdon and 1 mile (2 km) north of Houghton. Wyton on the Hill is situated within Huntingdonshire which is a non-metropolitan district of Cambridgeshire as well as being a historic county of England. The parish centres on RAF Wyton and the majority of its residents are servicemen and their families.

Royal Air Force Wyton or more simply RAF Wyton (IATA: QUY, ICAO: EGUY) is a Royal Air Force station near St Ives, Cambridgeshire, England. The airfield is decommissioned and is now used by the UK Strategic Command.
