Vorden railway station

Vorden is a former municipality and a town in the eastern Netherlands, about 10 kilometres south-east of Zutphen. On 1 January 2005 the municipality merged with Hummelo en Keppel, Steenderen, Hengelo en Zelhem, to form the new municipality Bronckhorst. Vorden is intersected by the road from Zutphen to Ruurlo (N319) and by the Baak creek (locally called Vorden Creek), which flows to the IJssel. Vorden is located on the Zutphen - Winterswijk railway line, which was opened in 1878 and has a central station on the station road.

Hackfort Castle is a castle in Vorden, in the Dutch province of Gelderland. The castle is owned by the Vereniging Natuurmonumenten, the Society for Preservation of Nature Monuments.

Almen is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is in the municipality Lochem, about 7 km east of the city of Zutphen. It was first mentioned in 1188 as Almen, and means "settlement near elm trees". Castle Ehze was built around 1300. It was destroyed during the Dutch Revolt and rebuilt in 1647. In 1816, it was demolished and replaced by an estate in 1831. In 1840, it was home to 456 people.

Hengelo is a town in the eastern part of The Netherlands, province of Gelderland (not to be confused with the much larger city of Hengelo, Overijssel). The predominantly rural area it is situated in is known as the Achterhoek. Hengelo (Gelderland) is famous for various horse-related activities (markets, horse-jumping, etc.). Once a year a motorbike race takes place just outside the town on a streetcircuit. It used to be a separate municipality and is now part of the municipality of Bronckhorst.

Bronckhorst (pronounced [ˈbrɔŋkɦɔrst] ) is a municipality in Gelderland, the Netherlands. The municipality is the result of a merger of the former municipalities Hengelo, Hummelo en Keppel, Steenderen, Vorden and Zelhem, on 1 January 2005. The municipality is named after the medieval castle of the Bronckhorst family, who once ruled this area. The seat of the municipality is Hengelo.

Bekveld (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈbɛk.vɛlt]) is a hamlet located in the Dutch municipality of Bronckhorst in Gelderland. It is located between Hengelo, Keijenborg and Toldijk. Before the municipal reorganization in 2005, Bekveld belonged to the municipality of Hengelo. In 2010, the hamlets of Gooi and Bekveld together had 135 houses and 360 inhabitants. This population was still 350 in 2023.The Bekveld Tug of War Association (TTV Bekveld) has existed since 1968. The club was, among other things, Dutch youth tug-of-war champion (1970) and third at the world championships (1985).

Baak is a village in the municipality Bronckhorst in the Achterhoek part of the Dutch province of Gelderland. It stands on the Baakse Beek (literally, Brook of Baak) in the municipality of Bronckhorst, about 10 km from Zutphen. Baak was founded around 1190 as a hamlet (Dutch: buurtschap). The village has a quite large (for its number of inhabitants) neo-gothic church, designed by Alfred Tepe. Behind the church its 18th-century predecessor can be found, a so-called barn church which nowadays serves as a cultural centre. In the south of the village, on the premises of a farm, stands the ruined tower of an otherwise vanished Gothic chapel from the 15th century. Within the village limits one can also find the manor Huize Baak, one of the many manors in this part of the Achterhoek. It houses the Christian organization Ellel Ministries Nederland. The manor and surrounding park can be visited by appointment. The manor can also be seen from the public road; a walking path goes all around the premises.

Laren is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Lochem. Laren was a separate municipality until 1971, when it was merged with Lochem.

Warnsveld is a town in the eastern Netherlands, about 2 km east of Zutphen.

Eefde is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Lochem, about 3 km northeast of the city of Zutphen.

Zelhem is a town in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It has approximately 11,000 inhabitants. Zelhem is located in the municipality of Bronckhorst, about 7 km northeast of Doetinchem. Zelhem was a separate municipality until 2005, when it became a part of Bronckhorst. The municipality used to cover an area of 81.89 km2.

Lochem (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈlɔxəm] ) is a city and municipality in the province of Gelderland in the Eastern Netherlands. In 2005, it merged with the municipality of Gorssel, retaining the name of Lochem. As of 2019, it had a population of 33,590.
