Mount Riverview is a town off the Great Western Highway about 2 km NE of Blaxland in the Lower Blue Mountains, New South Wales, 70 kilometres west of the Sydney CBD, Australia. At the 2006 census, Mount Riverview had a population of 2,993 people.Mount Riverview borders the townships/suburbs of Warrimoo, Blaxland, Emu Heights and Yellow Rock. Mount Riverview has views over the Sydney area, including of Centrepoint Tower some 55 kilometres away. It has a general store, two churches, a wood turning and woodcraft centre, a public school, tennis courts, a water tank, a Chinese restaurant, two parks and a local fire brigade under the jurisdiction of the New South Wales Rural Fire Service. Mount Riverview is part of the Federal Electoral Division of Macquarie (NSW).

Emu Plains Correctional Centre, an Australian minimum security prison previously known as Penrith minimum security prison for male inmates became for females in 2000 is located on Old Bathurst Rd, Emu Plains, New South Wales. The centre is operated by Corrective Services NSW an agency of the Department of Communities and Justice of the Government of New South Wales. The centre detains sentenced and unsentenced felons under New South Wales and/or Commonwealth legislation.

The property is owned by New South Wales Minister for Community Services. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

The Nepean Creative and Performing Arts High School (formerly Nepean High School) is a government-funded co-educational comprehensive and specialist secondary day school with speciality in performing arts, located in Emu Plains, a suburb in western Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The school is located adjacent to the Emu Plains railway station.

The Glenbrook deviation is a section of track on the Main Western line from Emu Plains to Blaxland stations in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia. The approximately seven-mile-long (eleven-kilometre) double-track deviation was constructed from 1911 to 1913 and replaced the single-track first Glenbrook deviation and the first Glenbrook Tunnel.

Emu Plains railway station is a heritage-listed railway station located on the Main Western line in the western Sydney suburb of Emu Plains in the City of Penrith local government area of New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by the New South Wales Government Railways and built from 1884 to 1907 by M. Reed, et al. It is also known as Emu Plains Railway Station group. The property was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999. The station is served by Sydney Trains T1 Western line services and NSW TrainLink Blue Mountains line services.

The Lennox Bridge, Glenbrook is a heritage-listed road bridge that carries the Mitchell's Pass across Brookside Creek (also known as Lapstone Creek), located at Glenbrook, in the City of Blue Mountains local government area of New South Wales, Australia. The bridge was designed by David Lennox and built from 1832 to 1833 by James Randall and other convicts. It is also known as Lennox Bridge or The Horseshoe Bridge. The property is owned by Blue Mountains City Council. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999. The stone arch bridge is a single arch of 6 metres (20 ft) span and is 9 metres (30 ft) above water level, with a road width of 9 metres (30 ft).

The Lucasville railway station is a decommissioned railway station on the Lapstone Zig Zag that closed in 1892. John Lucas purchased land for a country retreat adjacent to the top road of the Lapstone ZigZag. He built his house called Lucasville. The house has disappeared but traces of its gardens and access paths are still visible immediately to the west of the ZigZag walking track.For the convenience of himself, his family, and his guests, Lucas used his political clout to have a railway station built on the Top Road of the ZigZag. Lucasville Station opened in 1877 and the substantial concrete platform, with rock-cut steps leading west into Lucasville grounds. Today the station is part of the Historic Lapstone Zig Zag walking track.

Leonay ( LEE-oh-nay) is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia 58 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Penrith. It is part of the Greater Western Sydney region. Leonay is located on the western side of the Nepean River, at the foot of the Blue Mountains. The suburb is bounded by the M4 Motorway, the western railway line, and the Nepean River. One of Leonay's prominent features is the golf course which meanders through the suburb.
