Oak Hill College

Hornsey College of Art (a.k.a. Hornsey School of Art) was a college in Crouch End in the London Borough of Haringey, England. The HCA was "an iconic British art institution, renowned for its experimental and progressive approach to art and design education".

The Lansdown Centre for Electronic Arts was a research centre at Middlesex University in North London, England. It played a significant role in the early development of computer graphics and continued to innovate in interactive media, sonic arts and moving image. It also provided postgraduate and undergraduate teaching.

Chickenshed (also known as Chicken Shed or the Chicken Shed Theatre Company) is a British theatre company based in Southgate, London.

Chase Side is a road between Cockfosters and Southgate in the London Borough of Enfield. It runs from the junction of Cat Hill, Cockfosters Road and Bramley Road in the north to Southgate Circus in the south and forms part of the boundary with the London Borough of Barnet. Chase Side is named for its former location adjacent to Enfield Chase. In the north on the east side are the Chicken Shed Theatre and Bramley Sports Ground. Opposite is the Cat Hill Chase Side Pond and one of the entrances to the housing development known as Bolingbroke Park on the former Middlesex University campus site. Mid-way along the road is the former Sir Thomas Lipton Care Home, aka Osidge House, on the west side. At the southern end is St Andrew's church, Southgate and the main Southgate shopping area. The road terminates at Southgate Circus adjacent to Southgate Underground Station.

Oak Hill Wood is a 10-hectare Local Nature Reserve (LNR) and a Site of Borough Importance for Nature Conservation Grade I, in East Barnet, London. It is owned by the London Borough of Barnet, and part of it is a 5.5-hectare nature reserve managed by the London Wildlife Trust.It is an ancient woodland, dominated by pedunculate oak, hornbeam and ash. A shrub layer includes hawthorns, field maples and wild service trees, and among the ground flora are bluebells and wood anemones. Breeding birds include tawny owls, nuthatches, tree creepers and stock doves. A small stream flows through the wood to join Pymme's Brook, which is also a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation, in the neighbouring Oak Hill Park.There is also an area of meadow which contains common wild flowers such as lady's bedstraw and common knapweed. It has common butterflies such as gatekeeper, common blue and large blue.Oak Hill Wood dates back to at least the 11th century, when it was owned by the Church. After the dissolution of the monasteries, Church lands were sold in 1536–38 and incorporated in the Oak Hill Estate. In 1930 East Barnet Council acquired the land, and Oak Hill Park, including Oak Hill Wood, was opened to the public in 1933. In 1997 the wood was designated a Local Nature Reserve. An area of rough grassland in Oak Hill Park is included in the LNR.There is access from Mansfield Avenue, Daneland and Brookside, as well as from Oak Hill Park.

De Bohun Primary School (also known as De Bohun Primary School and Children's Centre and simply referred to as De Bohun School) is a 2–11 mixed, community primary school in Southgate, Greater London, England. It was established in 1936 and is a Grade II listed building.

Salcombe Preparatory School is a co-educational preparatory school for approximately 200 pupils, located in Southgate, London, England. The school is currently owned and operated by Cognita. Founded in 1916, Salcombe is a co-educational preparatory day school for children aged between 3 and 11. The school is located in Chase Side, Southgate, and Green Road, Oakwood, both in North London. The Green Road site is Grade II listed with Historic England.

Osidge is a district in the London Borough of Barnet, between Brunswick Park and Southgate, just west of the border with the London Borough of Enfield. It may be loosely defined as the part of postal district N14 that is in Barnet. Osidge has no formal border and is entirely enclosed within the electoral ward of Brunswick Park, East Barnet; however Oak Hill Park forms a natural boundary to the North and Pymmes Brook to the West, with the A111 to the East and the Piccadilly line to the South/East. The two main roads in Osidge are Osidge Lane and Hampden Way, which meet at a junction (now roundabout) called Hampden Square. Around the roundabout are three parades of shops and the Osidge Arms pub. To the south-west is an area of green belt land, crossed by Pymmes Brook and leading down to New Southgate Cemetery; an adjacent road, Whitehouse Way, provided the backdrop to scenes from Mike Leigh’s film Secrets and Lies. Nearby school Ashmole Academy was a filming location for Kick-Ass 2.

Belmont, originally known as Mount Pleasant, was a house in East Barnet, London, near Cockfosters, that dated back to the sixteenth century. By the end of the nineteenth century it had become Heddon Court and was the home of a preparatory school for boys. The school closed in 1933 and the house was demolished. The site is now occupied by suburban housing.

Southgate School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in the Oakwood area of London, England.The school is situated just east of the Cat Hill roundabout of the A111 and A110, between Cockfosters and Oakwood tube stations. The Trent Park campus of Middlesex University is nearby to the north, on the northern fringe of Greater London's conurbation. Middlesex University has its Cat Hill campus nearby to the east. Although once historically in Southgate, the school is now in the parish of St Thomas, Oakwood, on the boundary with Cockfosters to the west, and on the western edge of Enfield borough, 500 metres east of the Barnet boundary.

Little Grove, originally Danegrove, was a house and estate that once existed in East Barnet on high ground to the south of Cat Hill. The original house on the site dated from at least the mid sixteenth century. In 1719, it was demolished and replaced with a house known as New Place but the house soon returned to the name of Little Grove. That house was demolished in 1932 to make way for a housing development.

Christ the King (Vita et Pax) is an architecturally notable former priory of the Olivetan order in Bramley Road, Cockfosters, north London. It was founded in 1930 by Dom Constantine Bosschaerts, formerly a monk of the Belgian Province of the Cassinese Congregation of the Primitive Observance. The building is dated to 1940 and its design credited to Bosschaerts in Pevsner.Part of the building was later the Benedictine Centre for Spirituality, and is now the Cockfosters Spirituality Centre.The parish church of the Parish of Christ The King in Cockfosters occupies part of the building which was intended to form the parish hall for a larger church. Since 2014 the parish has been administered by the Chemin Neuf Community.
