Liliesleaf Farm, also spelt Lilliesleaf and also known simply as Liliesleaf, is a location in northern Johannesburg, South Africa, which is most noted for its use as a safe house for African National Congress (ANC) activists during the apartheid years in the 1960s. In 1963, the South African police raided the farm, arresting more than a dozen ANC leaders and activists, who were then tried and prosecuted during the Rivonia Trial. After the end of apartheid, the property was restored and turned into a museum and national heritage site. It was closed to visitors in September 2021, but was scheduled to reopen a year later.

Sunninghill is a commercial and residential suburb of Sandton in Gauteng, South Africa. It is located in Region A of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. The N1 freeway, which at this area is eight lanes across, forms its southern boundary with access at Rivonia offramp. The K60 road runs through the centre of Sunninghill to assist in easing traffic. Sunninghill is bordered by the suburbs of Paulshof, Kyalami and Woodmead.

Paulshof is a suburb of Sandton, South Africa. It is located in Region A of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. The village of Paulshof is bounded by the Western Bypass on the South, Leeuwkop Estate on the North, Sunninghill on the East and Lone Hill on the West.[1] Paulshof is known as the "Garden Village of the North" by locals due to its proximity to green spaces such as the Rietfontein Nature Reserve. Places of interest in the suburb include: Cambridge Crossing Shopping Centre, Reitfontein Nature reserve, the German Country Club, St Peters school, the Rivonia Recreation & Sports Club and Nova Pioneer School Campus. Paulshof is also home to many independent small businesses, such as June Day Productions, Luca's Restaurant, and many more. Vino Reddy from the Democratic Alliance (DA) is the ward councilor of Paulshof.

Woodmead is mostly a commercial suburb in the northern part of Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. Four highways meet here, the N1 Western Bypass, N1 Ben Schoeman, N3 Eastern Bypass, and the M1. The southern terminus of the R55 road is also located here. Access is off the Woodmead offramp to the M1. Several large business are located in Woodmead, including 3M, Ericsson, Accenture, Aspen Pharmacare and SAP. The 94.7 Cycle Challenge starts at the intersection of Woodmead Drive and Van Reenen in Woodmead. This is a 94.7 kilometre cycle race that is held every year and is sponsored by 94.7 Highveld Stereo, a popular regional radio station. Woodmead is also the site of two large 18-hole golf courses, which opened in 1968. Both courses are known as the Johannesburg Country Club and have previously hosted the South African Open and Johannesburg Open golf events.

Rivonia is a suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa in the Sandton area. It is located in Region E of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. Rivonia is one of the most affluent residential and business suburbs of Johannesburg, and regarded as the hub of upstart and established I.T. companies. The main retail thoroughfare in the area, Rivonia Boulevard, is the location of several shopping complexes as well as many other shops and restaurants. The area known as Rivonia includes the original township of Edenburg, Edenburg Extension 1, and 19 smaller extensions designated 'Rivonia Extension ...', numbered from 0 to 25. There is no designated township (in the legal sense) called Rivonia. The post code for Rivonia is 2128.

Petervale is a suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa. It was located in Region 3 of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. Petervale is located next to the N1 highway and is bounded by the suburbs of Rivonia, Bryanston and Paulshof. It is further close to Sunninghill and Morningside Manor. In Petervale there is a small shopping centre and a clinic, a block of flats, a bakery, a garage (petrol station), a laundromat, a post-office, a DVD rental franchise outlet. There is also a large field that forms part of the Region 3 green belt. The field is currently earmarked for residential development in 2007. Petervale can be reached by travelling on the N1 highway (South or North) and taking the Rivonia offramp. Drive north on Rivonia Road and turn left into Witkoppen Road. Drive past the Cambridge office park and turn left into Cambridge Road. Follow it over the highway into Petervale. From Petervale, Rivonia and Bryanston can be reached by following Twelfth Avenue.

Edenburg is a suburb of Sandton, South Africa. It is located in Region E of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. It is a section of Rivonia. Edenburg took its name from the farm by that name.

Klevehill Park is a suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa. It is located in Region E of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality.

The Braamfontein Spruit (from the Afrikaans for "spring of brambles") is the longest stream in Johannesburg, South Africa. It originates in Barnato Park High School, Braamfontein. It is covered and canalised near its source, but once the river runs out of the Parkview Golf Course, it runs through parkland, right to the edge of the city, so that Johannesburgers can still enjoy it in its original state. Walkers, runners and cyclists use a path along its banks every weekend in Gauteng, South Africa. From Berea the stream runs through Pieter Roos Park, down Empire Road to the Frank Brown Park, then on towards the German School in Parktown. The stream then flows towards the Parkview Golf Course, where sections of it are canalised. It exits the golf course and runs through Parkhurst, where it meets the second small tributary, the Westdene Spruit. The stream then flows through River Club, Bryanston, Rivonia and Sunninghill. Its largest tributary, the Sand Spruit, joins the stream in Sunninghill before it joins the Jukskei River in Leeuwkop Prison. There is an ongoing effort to make this space a world class river park for the use of all Johannesburg residents.

Bryanston, Gauteng is an affluent residential suburb of Sandton, South Africa north of Johannesburg . First named as an area in 1949, it was established in 1969 as a suburb of Sandton and provided with tarred roads and municipal services [1], but after municipal boundaries were revised following the end of Apartheid, Sandton was merged with Johannesburg to form part of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. The multi-lane N1 Western Johannesburg Bypass freeway forms its northern boundary with access at William Nicol offramp. It is located in Region E of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. Bryanston is bifurcated by Bryanston Drive, running from the outskirts of Randburg to the beginning of Morningside. The long-established Bryanston Country Club, founded in 1948, is in the heart of Bryanston. Families with school aged children compose a large part of the Bryanston community due to the excellent private school system that is ranked as best in Gauteng.

Megawatt Park is the South African site of the electricity public utility Eskom's head office in Sunninghill, Gauteng (City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality). The park includes the Megawatt Park Conference Centre.
