Georgetown is an unincorporated community in Northumberland County, in the U.S. state of Virginia.

The Howland Chapel School is a historic school building for African-American students located near Heathsville, Northumberland County, Virginia. It was built in 1867, and is a one-story, gable fronted frame building measuring approximately 26 feet by 40 feet. It features board-and-batten siding and distinctive bargeboards with dentil soffits. The interior has a single room divided by a later central partition formed by sliding, removable doors. The building is a rare, little-altered Reconstruction-era schoolhouse built to serve the children of former slaves. Its construction was funded by New York educator, reformer and philanthropist Emily Howland (1827-1929), for whom the building is named. It was used as a schoolhouse until 1958, and serves as a museum, community center and adult-education facility. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

The preserve protects an area of fresh and brackish tidal wetlands at the confluence of the freshwater Bush Mill Stream and the saltwater Great Wicomico River, which serves as important habitat for numerous species of birds. The preserve is open to the public during daylight hours and contains hiking trails, a boardwalk over the stream, an observation deck, and signs about the history of the stream. It is owned and maintained by the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation.

Kirkland Grove Campground is a historic Baptist campground located near Heathsville, Northumberland County, Virginia. It was established in 1892, and was the site of week-long religious services. The main building is the great Tabernacle, built in 1892. It measures 90 feet square and supported by timber columns supporting a standing seam metal hipped roof. The roof has four square tiers rising from the center, each tier growing smaller toward the top. The two other contributing buildings are the Camper's Tent and Preacher's Tent, both built in 1892. The property continues to be used for church meetings, revivals, reunions, and youth camp activities. Listed on the Virginia Landmarks Register in late 1991, it was subsequently included in the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Hickory Hollow Natural Area Preserve is a 254-acre (1.03 km2) Natural Area Preserve located in Lancaster County, Virginia. The preserve's mixed pine-hardwood forests, ravines, and swampland form a habitat for various songbirds, wild turkeys, and a rare species of plant. The swamp is an example of a globally rare natural community known as a "coastal plain basic seepage swamp", and supports a high level of biological diversity. Hickory Hollow Natural Area Preserve is owned by the Northern Neck Audubon Society, who purchased the land from Lancaster County in 1999. It was dedicated as a Natural Area Preserve on July 12, 2000. The preserve is open to the public, and contains a parking area and hiking trails.
