Farmersville High School (Texas)

Farmersville is a city primarily located in Collin County, Texas, United States, but a small portion is in Hunt County. The population was 3,612 at the 2020 census.

The Farmersville Masonic Lodge No. 214, A.F. and A.M. is a historic Italianate building located in Farmersville, Texas. It was constructed in 1888 as a meeting hall for Farmersville Lodge No. 214 (a local Masonic lodge). The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (under the name: "Farmersville Masonic Lodge No. 214, A.F. and A.M.") in 2005.Later, the building houses the Farmersville Times, a local area newspaper and Farmersville lodge meets elsewhere.

The Farmersville Islamic cemetery is located in Farmersville, Collin County, Texas. The cemetery became the subject of controversy in 2015 when local residents expressed opposition to the prospect of Muslims being buried near their town. After a consortium of local mosques purchased a plot of land outside the city limits to provide a burial ground for the county's Muslims, the local authorities unanimously granted permission for the plans. However, opposition grew among local residents and the proposals were vehemently denounced in public forums where many residents expressed strongly anti-Islamic sentiments as the basis for their opposition. Council members and planning officials reported receiving death threats and threats were also made to desecrate the site with pigs' blood and severed pigs' heads. The council emphasized that there was little it could do to prevent the cemetery going ahead, as it was bound by local and state planning regulations.

KFCD (990 AM) is a commercial radio station in Farmersville, Texas. It is owned by Linda Hammond, through licensee Farmersville Investments, LLC, and airs a Spanish-language Christian radio format. Blocks of time are sold to hosts who may use their shows to appeal for donations to their ministries. The system is known as brokered programming. KFCD is powered at 7,000 watts by day. But at night, to avoid interfering with other stations on 990 AM, power is reduced to 920 watts. Programming is also heard on FM translator K260CX at 99.9 MHz in McKinney, Texas.

Community High School is a public high school located approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) north of Nevada, Texas (USA). It is part of the Community Independent School District which covers much of southeastern Collin County. The district was a consolidation of schools in Nevada, Josephine, Copeville, and Lavon completed in 1948. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.

It is part of the Princeton Independent School District located in central Collin County and classified as a 5A school by the UIL. In 2017, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency. The school will be competing in the 5A classification as of Fall 2018. As of the 2021-2022 school year, the high school was separated into a 10-12 high school due to the creation of Lovelady High School, a freshman center. In the 2024-2025 school year, Princeton High School will become a senior high school with Lovelady being an underclassman high school after additional construction.
