Romainmôtier-Envy (French pronunciation: [ʁɔmɛ̃motje ɑ̃vi]) is a municipality in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland, located in the district of Jura-Nord Vaudois. The village, which lies on the Nozon river, has about 450 inhabitants. The town has a notable Romanesque church. The monastery of Romainmôtier (Romanum monasterium) was founded by Romanus of Condat, a leader of monks, after whom it was named.The municipality was created in 1970 by a merger of Romainmôtier and Envy.
