Aldborough House (sometimes Aldboro House) is a landmark Georgian building in Dublin, Ireland. Built as a private residence by 1795, the original structure included a chapel (since lost) and a theatre wing. The house was used for periods as a school, barracks and post office depot, before becoming vacant in the early 21st century. While vacant, the building was subject to vandalism and a fire, was listed by An Taisce - The National Trust for Ireland as in poor condition, and included in its 2021 list of 'Top 10 Most-at-Risk' buildings nationally.

Michael Barr (died 25 April 2016) was a 35-year-old Irishman who was shot dead in a pub in Dublin as part of the Hutch–Kinahan feud. Two people have been convicted of his murder.

North Strand Church, is a Church of Ireland church on North Strand and Waterloo Avenue, in Dublin. The original church was established in 1786. It is now part of the United Parish of Drumcondra, North Strand, and Saint Barnabas. St. Columba's National School, which was established in 1787, is on the same grounds and affiliated to the church.

The Scots Presbyterian Church is a ruined former church on Seán McDermott Street (formerly Gloucester Street North or Gloucester Street Lower) in Dublin 1, Ireland. The church was designed in a Greek revival style by architect Duncan Campbell Ferguson and completed in 1846 at a cost of £1,800.The building operated as a Presbyterian church from 1846 until 1888 when the congregation was subsumed by the nearby Clontarf and Scots Presbyterian Church. The building continued to operate as a sometime church for various services until 1896, at which point the building began being used by the Salvation Army owing to its position in the centre of the Monto area of Dublin. In the early 1900s it was converted into a flour mill but its external appearance remained largely intact. It was operated by AW Ennis Limited until a fire in the 1980s forced the business to move to Virginia, County Cavan where it remains as of July 2020. It was subsequently used as a grain store.

Ballybough (Irish: An Baile Bocht, meaning 'the poor town') is an inner city district of northeast Dublin city, Ireland. Adjacent areas include the North Strand and Clonliffe.

Summerhill (Irish: Cnoc an tSamhraidh) is a mainly residential area of Dublin, Ireland, on the Northside of the city. It is located roughly in the area bordered by Gardiner Street in the west, Mountjoy Square, Ballybough in the north, northeast and east, and Talbot Street and Amiens Street in the south and southeast. The name derives from the eponymous street of Summerhill Parade. It is one of the most densely populated and economically deprived areas of the city.

North Strand Road (Irish: Bóthar na Trá Thuaidh) is a street in the Northside of Dublin, Ireland. It links the city centre from Connolly Station to Fairview by road.

George's Dock (Irish: Duga Sheoirse) is a Georgian dock in the Docklands area of Dublin forming part of the International Financial Services Centre.

The International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) is an area of central Dublin and part of the CBD established in the 1980s as an urban regeneration area and special economic zone (SEZ) on the derelict state owned former port authority lands of the reclaimed North Wall and George's Dock areas of the Dublin Docklands. The term has become a metonym for the Irish financial services industry as well as being used as an address and still being classified as an SEZ. It officially began in 1987 as an SEZ on an 11-hectare docklands site in central Dublin, with EU approval to apply a 10% corporate tax rate for "designated financial services activities". Before the expiry of this EU approval in 2005, the Irish Government legislated to effectively have a national flat rate by reducing the overall Irish corporate tax rate from 32% to 12.5% which was finally introduced in 2003.An additional primary goal of the IFSC was to assist the urban renewal and development programme of the North Wall area as a result of its dereliction following the advent of containerisation in the 1960s. Following a period of successful regeneration the Section 23 Relief and other schemes ceased accepting new entrants from 1999.The original 11-hectare IFSC site has gone through several expansions to become a 37.8-hectare area by 2018 which is now a major European financial centre. By merging with the Spencer Dock and Grand Canal Dock area, the IFSC is now considered to be an "International Services Centre", covering a broader range then being purely financial. The creation and development of the IFSC is considered to be an important part of Ireland's economic growth story.
