James Madison High School, formerly Forest Avenue High School, is a public secondary school in Dallas, Texas (USA). Madison High School enrolls students in grades 9-12 and is a part of the Dallas Independent School District. The school is a Dallas Landmark which serves Cedars. It formerly served much of Downtown Dallas, until 2016.In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.

MLK Jr. station is a DART Light Rail station in Dallas, Texas. It is situated in South Dallas and serves the Green Line. MLK Jr. station acts as a transfer point to numerous buses at the nearby J.B. Jackson Jr. Transit Center. Since opening in 2009, ridership has grown substantially to 1,153 riders each weekday.

The Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women's Leadership School is a school for girls in Dallas, Texas. Part of the Dallas Independent School District, it is the first public all-girls school in the state and is renowned for its challenging coursework and high college matriculation rate.The school was established in 2004 and graduated its first class of 21 students in 2009. It opened under the leadership of Principal Vivian Taylor-Samudio. The school is in proximity to Fair Park.

The Dallas Children's Aquarium (Formally known as the Children's Aquarium at Fair Park) is an aquarium located in Fair Park, Dallas, Texas, USA. It opened in 1936 as part of the Texas Centennial Exposition, becoming the first Public Aquarium in the state of Texas. And received an $8 million renovation in 2010. The Aquarium has six exhibit areas.

Texas Star is a Ferris wheel at Fair Park in Dallas, Texas, where it operates during the annual State Fair of Texas as its most popular ride.With an overall height of 216 feet (65.8 m), it was the tallest Ferris wheel in North America from 1985 until the opening of the 250-foot (76 m) Star of Puebla in Mexico, on 22 July 2013.It can carry up to 264 passengers in its 44 gondolas. The view is one of the things that entice people to ride on it. Built by SDC Corp. in Reggio Emilia, Italy, at a cost of $2.2 million, it was shipped to Dallas for its debut at the 1985 State Fair of Texas. It is owned by Barbara Brown and her brother Mike Sandefur.From 1985 to 2007 it was illuminated at night by 16,000 incandescent red, white, and blue turbolites. In 2008, this system was replaced with a longer-lasting, more energy-efficient LED system.

African American Museum is an American art museum located at 3536 Grand Avenue in Fair Park, Dallas, Texas. The museum was founded in 1974 and has operated independently since 1979. The 7 million dollar structure which is now its home, was funded through private donations, and a 1985 Dallas city bond election, which provided 1.2 million towards its construction. The 38,000-square-foot (3,500 m2) structure, built in the shape of a cross, is made of ivory-colored stone. Natural materials and design motifs are used throughout the museum in a manner reminiscent of pre-industrialized cultures of the African continent.

Wheatley Place is a neighborhood in South Dallas, Texas, that is designated as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) and as a somewhat smaller Dallas Landmark District by the city. Included among the buildings that compose the historic district is the Juanita J. Craft Civil Rights House, a museum that was the former home of Dallas civil rights pioneer, Juanita Craft. The house is a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark and is included within the NRHP district but not the municipal landmark district. Predominantly constructed as a neighborhood for African-Americans, the area was named for Phillis Wheatley, an African-American poet from the 18th century, who was the first African-American author of a published book of poetry. The district was listed on the National Register on March 23, 1995, and the Dallas City Council designated Wheatley Place as a historic landmark district on October 25, 2000.

Levi–Topletz House is a historic brick residential building in Dallas, Texas, U.S.. It displays elements and characteristic of the Italian Renaissance revival and Prairie School styles. It is one of the few residences of the Edgewood Addition (1912) that is surviving on Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard (formerly Forest Avenue), the principal streetcar route across the South Dallas neighborhood. The original owner of the house was Jewish businessman, Leo S. Levi, who commissioned the building.It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1995, for the architecture. The building is associated with the historic context, "The Development of East and South Dallas: 1872–1945". It is also known as Phase IV--East Dallas DAL/DA 9.

Big Tex is a 55-foot (17 m) tall figure and marketing icon of the annual State Fair of Texas held at Fair Park in Dallas, Texas. The figure has become a cultural icon of Dallas and Texas. Since 1952 Big Tex has served as a cultural ambassador to visitors, and the figures prime location in the fairgrounds serves as a traditional meeting point. On October 19, 2012, the last weekend of the 2012 State Fair of Texas, Big Tex was destroyed by an electrical fire that started in the right boot and worked its way up the structure, first becoming visible from the neck area. After the fire, a new Big Tex was created by SRO Associates and Texas Scenic Co. This rendition made its first public appearance on September 26, 2013.Big Tex donned a mask in September 2020 while the fair was on hiatus because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dallas Ice Arena was an indoor arena in Dallas, Texas. It hosted the United States Hockey League's Dallas Texans from 1945 to 1949. The arena held 8,900 people.

The Music Hall at Fair Park (originally the Fair Park Auditorium or State Fair Auditorium) is a performing arts theater in Dallas, Texas's Fair Park that opened in 1925. The building is of Spanish Baroque style with Moorish architectural influences, containing six stair towers capped with cast domes and arcade porches overlooking Fair Park. Air conditioning was added in 1954, and in 1972 the Hall was remodeled again with an expanded lobby and restaurant. In 1999 the theater was refurbished and updated. Because of the spacious nature of the Music Hall, the facility is a nationally recognized venue for Broadway musical touring companies and other large-scale public and private functions. The Music Hall is currently home to the Dallas Summer Musicals and was home to the Dallas Opera from 1957 to 2009.

South Boulevard–Park Row Historic District is located in the southern part of Dallas, Texas. It was added to the National Register on February 5, 1979.
