Quinnipiac River Historic District

The Dr. Mary B. Moody House, also known as Chetstone, is a historic house at 154 East Grand Avenue in New Haven, Connecticut. Built in 1875, it is one of the city's finest examples of residential Carpenter Gothic architecture, and was home to Dr. Mary Blair Moody, one of the first female physicians to practice in the city. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.

Grannis Island is an uninhabited island in the Quinnipiac River in New Haven, Connecticut. It is owned by the New Haven Land Trust as part of the Eugene B. Fargeorge Nature Preserve at Quinnipiac Meadows. The island was inhabited by Quinnipiac Native Americans in historic times. Archeological digs have identified dog burials, middens, fire pits and other signs of human habitation.

Strong School is a school located at 69 Grand Ave. in the Fair Haven neighborhood of New Haven, Connecticut, USA. It is an overflow school for district kindergartners and first graders. It has a student population of approximately 277 utilizing a 1.055-acre (4,270 m2) site.

Fair Haven Heights, or simply the Heights, is a residential and light industrial neighborhood in the eastern part of the city of New Haven, Connecticut, located east of the Quinnipiac River. Fair Haven Heights is not to be confused with the adjacent Fair Haven neighborhood west of the river. The area is bordered on the west by the Quinnipiac River, on the north by Route 80, on the east by the town of East Haven, and on the south by Ferry Street and Warwick Avenue. The main through routes are Quinnipiac Avenue, East Grand Avenue, and Eastern Street

Fair Haven Union Cemetery, located at 149 Grand Ave., covers 7 acres (28,000 m2) in the neighborhood of Fair Haven, Connecticut. Although graves were there as early as 1803, the land was donated for the cemetery by local farmers Stephen Rowe and Nathaniel Granniss in 1808. The site included land for a meeting house, a school, and parade grounds, as well as 1-acre (4,000 m2) for burial, holding 80 lots. A Victorian Gothic entry arch was added in 1885 inscribed with a quote from Revelation 14:13, "They rest from their labors." In April 2006, the cemetery was evaluated for restoration. Including a formal cost study and beautification. Recommendations included protection from intruders and vandals, as well as different fencing to block out the view of adjacent housing. The area Cemetery Board declined to pursue the recommendations, but agreed to consider nominating the site for addition to the National Register of Historic Places.

The Quinnipiac Brewery, also known as Brewery Square, is a complex of brick buildings at 19-23 River Street in the Fair Haven neighborhood of New Haven, Connecticut. Developed beginning in 1892 and operative until the 1930s, the complex is a rare example of a late 19th-century large-scale (for the time) brewery. The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. Most of the complex is now residences.

Clinton Avenue School is a bilingual (American English and Spanish) school located at 293 Clinton Avenue in the Fair Haven neighborhood of New Haven, Connecticut, USA. It was built in 1911 and underwent extensive renovations beginning in 2004. The original design was similar to the nearby Truman School, both Beaux Arts style buildings.

Fair Haven is a neighborhood in the eastern part of the city of New Haven, Connecticut, between the Mill and Quinnipiac rivers. The northeast section of the neighborhood is also known as Chatham Square. Fair Haven is located about two miles east of the New Haven Green comprising New Haven wards 14, 15, 16, and a portion of 8. It is bounded on the east and south by the Quinnipiac River, on the west by the Mill River, on the northwest by Amtrak railroad tracks, and on the north by I-91 (in the vicinity of Exit 7). The main through routes of the area are Grand Avenue, Blatchley Avenue, and Ferry Street. In its early days, the area was called by a succession of names including Farmes, East Farmes, The Neck, Dragon, and Clamtown. Herman Hotchkiss is credited as founder due to his investments and development. Fair Haven is not to be confused with the adjacent Fair Haven Heights neighborhood.

Quinnipiac Meadows, also known as Bishop Woods, is a neighborhood in the northeast corner of the city of New Haven, Connecticut located east of the Quinnipiac River and north of Fair Haven and Fair Haven Heights. It contains a considerable wetlands area which is a nature preserve. The area is bordered on the north by the town of North Haven, on the east by the town of East Haven, on the south by Route 80, on the southwest by Interstate 91 (between Exits 7 and 8), and on the west by the Amtrak railroad tracks (along the banks of the Quinnipiac River). The portion of the area west of I-91 is also part of the community known as Cedar Hill.

Cedar Hill is a neighborhood in New Haven, Connecticut. It includes portions of the city-designated neighborhoods of East Rock, Quinnipiac Meadows, and Mill River. Cedar Hill was named for cedar trees that were once plentiful there in 1665. The area was divided from the local surroundings by the construction of I-91 in the 1960s. Cedar Hill's boundary runs from James Street, up the Mill River, to Rice Field, over Indian Head Rock, to the Hamden town line, across to Middletown Avenue, to the Eastern side of State Street, back up to James Street.

Erector Square LLC is a 11-building, three-story brick industrial warehouse complex located at the intersection of Blatchley Avenue and Peck Street in the Fair Haven neighborhood of New Haven, Connecticut.

The River Street Historic District encompasses a historic industrial area in the Fair Haven section of New Haven, Connecticut. Located south of Chapel Street between James Street and Blatchley Avenue, the industrial buildings here date to New Haven's growth as a major industrial center between the American Civil War and World War I, with significant emphasis on metalworking businesses. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
