The Suite Vollard is a futuristic residential building in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil. It is the world's first spinning building.Opened in 2001, the Suite Vollard was constructed by Moro Construções Civis LTDA, and Fritz Georg Gehbauer. The architect was Bruno de Franco. It was built in the Ecoville District in Curitiba, and has since become a famous, well-known building in the city. The floors each have double sheets of glass on the façade, tinted silver, gold, or blue, depending on the floor. This provides "a spectacular effect" as the floors rotate in opposite directions. The bottom floors of the building are mostly an executive center. Each of the 11 floors, comprising the majority of the building, can rotate clockwise or counter-clockwise, with a full revolution of 360 degrees taking an hour. The building was a case study that was used to gather data for more than thirty companies in Brazil, as well as one in Germany. Apartments sell for $400,000 each.The Suite Vollard apartment complex is named after Pablo Picasso's collection of etchings, the Vollard Suite, which was held on display when the building was inaugurated.

The Mackenzie Evangelical University Hospital, founded in 1959, containing 475 beds, is the college’s teaching hospital.

Bosque Alemão (meaning German Wood) is a park built in Curitiba in honor of the German immigrants who begin to settle in the city in the early 19th century. In the park visitors can walk on the trail of Hansel and Gretel (after the tale of Brothers Grimm) and reach the gingerbread and candy house, where usually on Saturday afternoons children listen to tales told by the crone that lives in the famous Brothers Grimm tale.

The Universidade Positivo (abbreviated UP) is a private universities of the State of Paraná, Brazil. Universidade Positivo's campus is in the Campo Comprido district of Curitiba and occupies an area of more than 400,000 m2Universidade Positivo offered (as of beginning of 2013) 27 undergraduate programs, more than 50 postgraduate programs, four master's degree programs, two doctoral programs.As of summer of 2020, the university offered more than 60 Undergraduate courses, hundreds of Specialization and MBA programs, seven Master's and Doctorate programs, as well as continuing education courses and extension programs. Also, it has seven free service clinics. The library can host up to 865 people. Its collection consists of nearly 115,000 volumes. In a special room the library houses the personal collection of the late cabinet minister, diplomat and professor, Roberto de Oliveira Campos. It includes diplomas, medals and awards, in addition to its 8,426 volumes.

Japan Square is a public space in the city of Curitiba, the capital of the Brazilian state of Paraná. It was built in honor of the Japanese immigrants to Brazil who arrived starting in 1910. Paraná has the second-largest Japanese community in Brazil, behind São Paulo, and as of 2023 is home to more than 32,000 of its descendants.

The Pedreira Paulo Leminski is a 25,000 capacity outdoor concert venue located in Curitiba, Brazil. It was partly named after Paulo Leminski, a twentieth century Brazilian writer, and because it served as the Municipal Pedreira, or rock quarry. Located in the neighborhood of Abranches, the site is about 103,500 metres long, its stage is around 480m², and it is surrounded by a rock wall thirty meters high. It was first opened in 1990. The Wire Opera House, which was opened in 1992 for the first Curitiba Theater Festival. Together, the two sites make up the Parque das Pedreiras. In July 2008, the holding of large events was prohibited in the place by an injunction in a Public Civil Action filed by the Public Ministry of Paraná, based on a request from the residents of the region, who alleged disrespect for the schedule of shows and riots caused by visitors. After a legal dispute between the space's neighbors and the municipal government, which had taken place since 2008, an agreement was reached, which included a renovation with new adaptations and some restrictions for shows and, thus, the quarry was released in September 2013. With the improvements made, at a cost of R$ 17 million, the space was reopened in March 2014.

The Ópera de Arame, in Portuguese, or the Wire Opera, in English, is a theatre house located in the city of Curitiba, the capital of the state of Paraná, in southern Brazil. It is one of the major tourist attractions of the city. The opera house has a capacity of 2,400 spectators.Situated in the middle of an urban green park, Parque das Pedreiras, which can be translated as "Rocky Mountains Park", the Wire Opera House theatre is built out of steel tubes. It is built on the site of a former rock quarry close to "Pedreira de Paulo Leminski." The structure was built in the center of an artificial lake and is accessed by a walkway. Designed by Domingos Bongestabs, the metallic structure weighs a total of 360 tons of steel. The structure was built in 75 days and opened on March 18, 1992. It underwent many changes until 2006. The idea in 1992 was to offer to the public an outdoor space, with a new and innovative perspective, where artists could present their music. The place was built almost "engraved" in the middle of a natural structure of rocky mountains. Some of the side "walls" of the rocks are used to place information the tourist can access while visiting, to know more about the Wire Opera. Currently, there are many plates with dates of landmarks and names of important people who were there. On one wall, a plate reads: "On 22 December 1992, Tom Jobim, glory of the Brazilian music, presented himself in this Wire Opera".
