The Japanese School in Prague (Czech: Japonská škola v Praze, プラハ日本人学校 Puraha Nihonjin Gakkō) is a Japanese international school in Řepy, District 6, Prague, Czech Republic. It is attached affiliated with the Embassy of Japan in Prague. The school opened on April 28, 1980 (Showa 55), and it had its origins in an educational programme established in 1972. It was previously at Slunna 8.

Řepy is a district in the west of Prague, located in and making up most of Prague 17 district, part of Prague 6 administrative region.

Ruzyně Prison is a prison in the Ruzyně neighborhood of Prague 6, Czech Republic.

The Battle of White Mountain (Czech: Bitva na Bílé hoře; German: Schlacht am Weißen Berg) was an important battle in the early stages of the Thirty Years' War. It led to the defeat of the Bohemian Revolt and ensured Habsburg control for the next three hundred years. It was fought on 8 November 1620. An army of 21,000 Bohemians and mercenaries under Christian of Anhalt was defeated by 23,000 men of the combined armies of Ferdinand II, Holy Roman Emperor, led by Charles Bonaventure de Longueval, Count of Bucquoy, and the German Catholic League under Maximilian I, Elector of Bavaria and Johann Tserclaes, Count of Tilly, at Bílá Hora ("White Mountain") near Prague. Bohemian casualties were not severe but their morale collapsed and Imperial forces occupied Prague the next day.

Ruzyně is a district of Prague city, part of Prague 6. It has been a part of Prague since 1960.Václav Havel Airport is located in this district. Czech Airlines has its head office on the grounds of the airport. Travel Service Airlines and its low cost subsidiary Smart Wings have their head office on the airport property. In addition the Civil Aviation Authority also has its head office on the airport property.Ruzyně Remand Prison is also located within the neighbourhood.

The Research Institute of Crop Production (RICP) (Czech: Výzkumný ústav rostlinné výroby, VÚRV) was established in 1951. During its more than 50 years of existence, the RICP has been the leading crop-production research institution within the Czech Republic. After most specialised research institutes in the Czech Republic were privatised in 1993, RICP is the only state-independent institution pursuing both research and consulting activities focussed on problems associated with growing crop plants. RICP is a subsidised organisation. Its basic purpose is the development of scientific knowledge in the field of integrated crop production, the production of wholesome foodstuffs, and the development of conditions for sustainable agriculture and conservation of the environment. Although the main office of RICP is in Prague, various parts of the institute (14 experimental or research stations and separate laboratories) are located in different areas in the territory of the Czech Republic.

Zličín is a district and cadastral area in the west of Prague, located in an administrative district of the same name, which is part of Prague 5 in the old system and governs the cadastral areas Zličín, Sobín and the northern part of Třebonice. The name is best known among Praguers as the site for a large bus station, Metro terminus and depot and a number of shopping centres and hypermarkets, all of which are named after Zličín, despite belonging to the neighbouring district Třebonice.

Letohrádek Hvězda (Czech pronunciation: [ˈlɛtoɦraːdɛk ˈɦvjɛzda], translating into English as "Star Villa" or "Star Summer Palace") is a Renaissance villa situated in a game reserve of the same name (Obora Hvězda) in Liboc, Prague 6, 7 kilometres west of Prague city centre. The surrounding game reserve was founded in 1530 by King Ferdinand I. Twenty-five years later he commissioned his younger son Ferdinand II, Archduke of Austria, to build the villa. The foundations were laid on 27 June 1555 by the Archduke alone, and construction of the villa was completed three years later. The villa is shaped as a six-pointed star, from which it and the game reserve acquire their shared name. In 1962 the villa was listed as a national cultural monument, which it remains today. An exhibition relating to the Battle of White Mountain, which took place nearby, is now on permanent display inside the publicly accessible villa.

Obora Hvězda (Star Game Reserve) is a 84 hectares (210 acres) forest park (formerly a royal game reserve) in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, which is now protected as a natural monument. It is located about 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) west of the city centre, surrounded by the neighbourhoods of Liboc (N), Břevnov (E), Bílá Hora (SW) and Ruzyně (W). The first mention of the forest, originally called Malejov, dates from 993, when duke Boleslaus II donated it to the newly established Břevnov Monastery. It was transformed into a walled game reserve during rule of Ferdinand I in the mid-16th century. The current name (hvězda being Czech for "star") derives from the Star Summer Palace, a 16th-century building, which stands in middle of the forest. The Battle of White Mountain took place on fields in the W/SW vicinity of the game reserve in 1620. Nowadays part of the site is designated as a Natura 2000 protected site due to the presence of the narrow-mouthed whorl snail (Vertigo angustior). The site is home to several bird species including the Middle Spotted Woodpecker.

Stodůlky, Czech pronunciation: [ˈstoduːlkɪ], is a cadastral area (katastrální území) in Prague, Czech Republic. Originally a village (first written mention of which dates from 1159), later municipality (since 1849), it remained a predominantly agricultural settlement until the 1960s. Stodůlky became part of Prague in 1974 and the large housing estate of Jihozápadní Město gradually arose on fields in vicinity of the old village in the late 1970s through mid-1990s. Nowadays Stodůlky covers an area of 9.63 square kilometres (3.72 sq mi) and has over 60 thousand inhabitants (these figures account for approximately 1/50 of territory and 1/40 of Greater Prague population). Západní Město, a western extension of the built-up area is currently (as of 2011) under construction. The name derives from the Czech noun stodola for barn; Stodůlky is then a pluralized diminutive of that word (i.e. meaning "small barns"). Stodůlky is located at the southwestern outskirts of the city, about 9 kilometres (6 mi) from the centre. It borders cadastral areas of Řepy in the north, Motol in the northeast, Jinonice in the east, Holyně and Řeporyje in the south, Třebonice in the west and Zličín in the northwest. As a whole it belongs to Praha 5 territorial district. For administrative purposes the vast majority of Stodůlky is designated as an administrative district of Praha 13, while a small section of it falls under Praha-Řeporyje. Stodůlky is served by Line B of the Prague Metro with five stations being located on its territory (each station in general bears the name of the corresponding housing subdistrict). Zličín (Czech pronunciation: [ˈzlɪtʃiːn]) is a Prague Metro station and terminus of Line B, located in Třebonice, Prague 17. The station was opened on 11 November 1994 as the western terminus of the extension of Line B from Nové Butovice. Zličín metro station gives direct pedestrian access to the 2004 constructed Metropole shopping mall, and has zero-fare bus links to the nearby Globus, Tesco and Ikea hypermarkets. The station's metro lines feed into a large shed with direct rail connections to the adjacent former Siemens train and tram factory which was closed in 2009.Zličín metro station is located next to a junction between the Prague ring road and the D5 motorway and offers direct connections with local, regional and national buses, both public transport and commercial Student Agency Express buses. The nearest Prague tram network hub is at Řepy, reached by bus lines 264 or 180 (4 stops away). Bus line 100 provides frequent connections to Ruzyně International Airport, 16 minutes away. Bus line 380 provides connections to Beroun.

Stodůlky (Czech pronunciation: [ˈstoduːlkɪ]) is a Prague Metro station on Line B, located in Stodůlky, Prague 13. The station was opened on 11 November 1994 as part of the extension of Line B from Nové Butovice to Zličín.
