Kaplice (Czech pronunciation: [ˈkaplɪtsɛ]; German: Kaplitz) is a town in Český Krumlov District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 7,500 inhabitants. The town is located on the Malše River. Kaplice became a town in 1382. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected as an urban monument zone.
