Ashland Mill Bridge

The Pachaug River is a 16.0-mile-long (25.7 km) river arising from the Pachaug State Forest at the Connecticut - Rhode Island border and draining into the Quinebaug River. It is crossed by the Ashland Mill Bridge in Griswold, Connecticut, a bridge which is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Hopeville Pond Hopeville Pond is a three-mile impoundment and widening of the Pachaug River in Hopeville Pond State Park in the "lost" village of Hopeville in the town of Griswold (much of the village was flooded by the creation of Hopeville Pond by a dam built to generate electricity).: 227  It has a public beach, kayak/canoe boat launch as well as camping and picnic facilities. Glasgo Pond, Doaneville Pond and Pachaug Pond are additional impoundments of the Pachaug River in the villages of Glasgo, Doaneville and Pachaug in the town of Griswold, Connecticut. Sawmill Pond and Beachdale Pond are additional impoundments of the river in the town of Voluntown, Connecticut. The source of the Pachaug River is a small "stream-like" section in Exeter, Rhode Island north of and draining into Beach Pond, a large impoundment split between Voluntown, Connecticut and Exeter, Rhode Island.

The John Wilson House is a historic house at 29–31 Ashland Street in the borough of Jewett City in the town of Griswold, Connecticut. Built about 1781, it is significant locally as a fine example of Georgian residential architecture, and as the home of John Wilson, a leading local industrialist of the late 18th century. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Jewett City is a borough in New London County, Connecticut, in the town of Griswold. The population was 3,487 at the 2010 census. The borough was named for Eliezer Jewett, who founded a settlement there in 1771.

The Slater Library is the public library of Griswold, Connecticut. It is located in a historic building at 26 Main Street in the borough of Jewett City. The Romanesque Revival building was constructed in 1884 with funds donated by John Fox Slater, a New England industrialist and philanthropist. The original building was designed by Stephen C. Earle, and was nearly doubled in size in 1930 with the addition of the Fanning Annex, designed by the Norwich firm of Cudworth & Thompson, and funded by a bequest from local businessman David Hale Fanning.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Griswold High School is the only public secondary school in Griswold, Connecticut, for grades 9 to 12. In addition to students promoted from Griswold Middle School, the school also enrolls students from the nearby towns of Canterbury, Franklin, Lisbon, Norwich, Preston, Sprague, and Voluntown. Griswold High School is part of Griswold Public Schools, supported by the Griswold Board of Education.The original Griswold High School was constructed in 1936, and now serves as Griswold Middle School. The new Griswold High School was built in 1992 adjacent to the original School, and shares Griswold Public Schools' 70-acre campus along the Quinebaug River in northern New London County. The Lathrop-Mathewson-Ross House is a historic house on Ross Hill Road in Lisbon, Connecticut. The house was built in 1761, and is a well-preserved example of Georgian residential architecture with an extensive documentary trail. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 15, 1982.

The Andrew Clark House, also known as the Haskell House, is a historic house on Ross Hill Road in Lisbon, Connecticut. Built about 1798, it is a good example of transitional Georgian-Federal residential architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 28, 1979.

Anshei Israel Synagogue is a historic synagogue located in Lisbon, Connecticut, United States. The Orthodox congregation was founded with 15 families and constructed the synagogue in 1936. It was built by George Allen & Sons. The interior is a single room that is lined with five benches before the sacred ark. The congregation's membership dwindled throughout the 1940s and 1950s, limiting the services to holidays before finally closing in the early 1980s. Rules in the congregation were not as strictly enforced as in the Old World, as there was no curtain to separate the sexes and distant members were allowed to drive part of the way to its services. The Town of Lisbon took ownership of the property in the 1980s. The synagogue is currently maintained by the Lisbon Historical Society. The synagogue was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

Lisbon is a town in New London County, Connecticut, United States, 7.3 miles (11.7 km) by road northeast of Norwich. The population was 4,195 at the 2020 census. The town center is also known as the village of Newent. The town school is Lisbon Central School. Its only postal code, 06351, is Jewett City, Connecticut, which is a village of the town of Griswold, Connecticut and encompasses all of Lisbon and Griswold.

The Timothy Lester Farmstead, also known as the Garrison House, is a historic farmstead at Crary and Browning Roads in Griswold, Connecticut. Set on 43 acres (17 ha) of land, the farmstead retains the look and feel of an 18th-century farm property, with a c. 1741 farmhouse, and farm outbuildings dating from the 18th to 20th centuries. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 4, 1998.
