Berkshire Park, New South Wales

Londonderry is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of New South Wales. It is represented by Prue Car of the Labor Party. It includes the suburbs of Berkshire Park, Caddens, Cambridge Park, Castlereagh, Claremont Meadows, Colyton, Jordan Springs, Llandilo, Londonderry, Melonba, Mount Pleasant, North St Marys, Oxley Park, Ropes Crossing, Shanes Park, St Marys, Tregear, Werrington, Werrington County, Werrington Downs, Whalan, Willmot and parts of Agnes Banks, Cranebrook, Emerton, Kingswood, Lethbridge Park, Marsden Park, Mount Druitt and Orchard Hills.

Melonba is a suburb of Blacktown, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Melonba is located approximately 51 kilometres (32 mi) north-west of Sydney City in the local government area of Blacktown.

Marsden Park is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Marsden Park is located 49 kilometres (30 mi) north-west of the Sydney central business district, in the Blacktown local government area and is part of the Greater Western Sydney region. The rapid development of Marsden Park beginning 2013 led to a large increase in the suburb's population. However, slow creation of adequate infrastructure and services such as shops, schools, roads, public transport and healthcare to match the increased houses and rising population, has led Marsden Park to be seen as a prime example of urban sprawl within the outskirts of Sydney.The suburb name should not be confused with the park and surrounding housing estate with the same name Marsden Park, also known as 'Park Central' located in Campbelltown, in the Campbelltown local government area part of both the Macarthur region and South Western Sydney.

Marsden Park Aerodrome was an aerodrome constructed by the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) in Berkshire Park, near Marsden Park, New South Wales during World War II. The aerodrome was built in 1942, as a relief landing ground for RAAF Base Richmond, with a runway 5,000 feet (1,500 m) long and 150 feet (46 m) wide. A number of RAAF radar stations; No's 169, 170, 309 & 312 were located around the aerodrome during separate times. The aerodrome was abandoned after World War II and was briefly used as a motorsport facility in the 1940s. The first event held was on 10 June 1946, and was known as the Victory Day Races. It was promoted by the New South Wales Sporting Car Club and consisted of short sprint races, some just two laps of the circuit which ran up and down the runway with a turn at each end. A second and final meeting was held over the Australia Day long weekend of 1947. The feature race was an 18-lap handicap and was initially won by W.S. Ward in an MG TB, however Ward was disqualified for being too much faster than in practice (when handicaps were determined) so second placed RH Mitchell in an Austin Special was declared the winner.

Shanes Park is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Shanes Park is located 50 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government areas of the City of Blacktown and City of Penrith, and is part of the Greater Western Sydney region.

Clydesdale is a heritage-listed homestead and former seminary and missionary school (1859–71) and wartime hospital (1942–44) at 1270 Richmond Road, Marsden Park, City of Blacktown, New South Wales, Australia. It was built from 1823 to 1885. It is also known as Lang's Farm; the northern half is also known as Echovale. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

The Castlereagh Nature Reserve is a protected nature reserve located in the western suburbs of Sydney in New South Wales, Australia. The 495-hectare (1,220-acre) reserve is situated 60 kilometres (37 mi) west of the central business district, approximately 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) north-east of Penrith and located near the townships of Castlereagh and Londonderry. In 1960, 266 hectares (660 acres) was reclaimed for use as a Child Welfare Training School, and in 1971, 389 hectares (960 acres) was reclaimed for the establishment of a liquid waste disposal facility. The boundary of the reserve is marked by The Northern Road to the west, by Llandilo Road to the east, rural properties to the south and by the Castlereagh Waste Management Centre to the north. The nature reserve was formerly Castlereagh State Forest and was managed as a production forest from 1917 to 1988, then as a demonstration forest from 1988 to 1995.

Radio VNG was Australia's national time signal service. It was inaugurated by the Australian Post Office at Lyndhurst, Victoria on 21 September 1964, although a predecessor service using the callsign VLX had begun in March 1946 alongside shortwave radio station VLR. From 1964 until 1987, Radio VNG transmitted on 4.5, 7.5 and 12 MHz from the Lyndhurst transmitters. After 1987 it relocated to Shanes Park, NSW, and transmitted on 2.5, 5, 8.638, 12.984, and 16 MHz.

Shalvey is a suburb of Blacktown, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Shalvey is located 48 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Blacktown and is part of the Greater Western Sydney region.

Francis Greenway Correctional Complex, formerly John Morony Correctional Complex is an Australian minimum security prison complex for males and females located in Berkshire Park, 5 kilometres (3 mi) south of Windsor in New South Wales, Australia. The complex is operated by Corrective Services NSW, an agency of the Department of Attorney General and Justice, of the Government of New South Wales. The complex comprises three separate correctional facilities, two for men and one for women: the John Morony Correctional Centre; the Geoffrey Pearce Correctional Centre (formerly Outer Metropolitan Multi Purpose Correctional Centre); and Dillwynia Correctional Centre.

Willmot is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia 49 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Blacktown and is part of the Greater Western Sydney region.

The Ropes Creek railway station was the terminus station of the Ropes Creek line, in Sydney, New South Wales, opening on 29 June 1942, after the line was extended past Dunheved to serve the St Marys Munitions factory. It was named after Ropes Creek, a waterway nearby. The station consisted of an island platform, a waiting room, and a footbridge for public access. It closed along with the line on 22 March 1986.After the station building was destroyed by fire in June 2011, the site was redeveloped as cultural park with the platform retained.
