Pevensey Road is a 10.2 hectare Local Nature Reserve in Hanworth in the London Borough of Hounslow. It is also part of the Crane Corridor Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation. It is owned and managed by Hounslow Council.The site surrounds the South West Middlesex Crematorium on three sides. There are entrances to the main area on Pevensey Road and Hounslow Road. Another entrance on Hounslow Road, north of the crematorium, leads to an area separated from the rest of the site by impenetrable scrub; this also leads to a footpath along the River Crane. There are areas of meadow, woodlands and wetlands.Since 2013 The Conservation Volunteers have been helping to manage Pevensey Road Nature Reserve for the benefit of wildlife. The organisation runs weekly Green Gym sessions which involve local people carrying out practical management of the site. In 2019 a new wooden bridge was erected over the river Crane connecting Pevensey Road Nature Reserve to Little Park.

Kempton Park Reservoirs are a Site of Special Scientific Interest in the London Borough of Hounslow and Kempton Park in Surrey. It is owned by Thames Water. It is part of South West London Waterbodies Ramsar site and Special Protection Area Kempton Park East reservoir is also a local nature reserve.

Feltham marshalling yard, also known as Feltham hump yard, was a large railway marshalling yard designed for the concentration of freight traffic to and from South West London, and for transfer to other marshalling yards in London. It was built on the Waterloo to Reading Line. It opened in 1918 and was closed by British Railways on 6 January 1969.Part of the site is now being rebuilt to stable Class 701 electric multiple unit trains for South Western Railway (SWR).

Oak Avenue is a 1.85 hectare Local Nature Reserve and Grade II Site of Borough Importance for Nature Conservation in Hampton in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It is owned and managed by Richmond upon Thames Borough Council.This site previously had greenhouses for local nursery gardens and was re-landscaped by local groups and volunteers. Its habitats include a wildflower meadow, hedges and a pond. Some of the plants are unusual, such as Greek dock and cotton thistle, and there are invertebrates including butterflies.There is access from Forge Lane and Oak Avenue.

They were ordered by the Metropolitan Water Board and manufactured by Worthington-Simpson in Newark-On-Trent.

The Hampton Kempton Waterworks Railway is a 2 ft (610 mm) gauge narrow gauge steam railway that opened in 2013, giving rides to paying visitors on a restored steam locomotive, with two back-up diesel locomotives. It is based on the site of an industrial railway that served Kempton Waterworks.
