Life Pacific University

San Dimas High School is a secondary school located in San Dimas, California, in the United States. It is part of the Bonita Unified School District. Most of the students come from Lone Hill Middle School which shares the same city block as the High School. The school has a student body of 1,296 and an API score of 839. The mascot is the Saint and was originally depicted as a knight slaying a dragon. The school is also referred to by students as SD. Its colors are royal blue and bright gold.

San Dimas (Spanish for "Saint Dismas") is a city in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, California, United States. At the 2020 census, its population was 34,924. It historically took its name from San Dimas Canyon in the San Gabriel Mountains above the northern section of present-day San Dimas. San Dimas is bordered by the San Gabriel Mountains range to the north, Glendora and Covina to the west, La Verne to its north and east side, Pomona to its south and east side, Walnut and the unincorporated community of Ramona to the southwest, and the unincorporated community of West San Dimas, which is an enclave in the southwestern portion of the city.

West San Dimas is an unincorporated community in the eastern part of Los Angeles County in the U.S. state of California. The population was 309 according to the 2000 census. Locally, the area is known as "unincorporated Covina" and "unincorporated San Dimas". The area is an enclave of San Dimas, being located in the southwestern portion of the city. Covina is the city name for home addresses in the area, even though the area is unincorporated.

Puddingstone Dam is a 147 ft (45 m) high earth and rockfill dam in the San Gabriel Valley, within San Dimas in eastern Los Angeles County, California. The dam was built in 1928 by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works, which continues to operate it.

Arrow High School is a public continuation high school in the Charter Oak Unified School District. It is located in the City of Glendora, California, in the San Gabriel Valley east of Los Angeles. The school serves 10th, 11th and 12th graders in the communities of Covina, Glendora and San Dimas who are deficient in credits needed to graduate high school. Arrow High School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. It was named a Model Continuation High School by the California Continuation Education Association in 2015.

Puddingstone Reservoir is a 250-acre (1 km²) artificial lake northeast of the interchange between the Orange Freeway (State Route 57) and the San Bernardino Freeway (Interstate 10) in Los Angeles County, California, United States. Activities include fishing, swimming, sailing, windsurfing, and camping. It is fed by Live Oak Wash and drains into Walnut Creek. Brackett Field, Raging Waters, and Fairplex (formerly the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds) are all adjacent to Puddingstone Reservoir, which is inside Bonelli Regional Park. In 1923, the County of Los Angeles Flood Control District purchased a large piece of land to construct a dam to hold back floodwaters from an area covering 30.3 square miles (78 km2). Work on the Puddingstone Dam started in February, 1925 and was completed in January, 1928. In 1932, a road across the top of the dam was constructed, creating a more direct route between the Pacific Electric station in San Dimas and Pomona Blvd. in Pomona. It was a considerably more direct route south - travelers previously had to either go west through Covina or east through Ganesha Park in Pomona. Historically, Puddingstone Reservoir, besides acting as a flood control basin, also provided water to the local citrus growers. Water was pumped to a smaller reservoir further north, which was used for irrigation purposes. It was soon used for recreation as well, with fishing, boating, and swimming allowed along selected beach areas. Los Angeles County established Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park at the site. A swimming pool facility was constructed by the county in the area just north of the reservoir, but in the late 1970s or early 1980s, they leased the area to a private developer who constructed Raging Waters, a pioneering water-themed amusement park. Today, the road over the dam is still in use and is undergoing major upgrades. Following the construction of Raging Waters, the road was renamed Raging Waters Drive, and extends from the entrance to the park on the south, to Puddingstone Drive on the north. The original portion of the road's right of way to Pomona was developed as part of the Orange Freeway (State Route 57).The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment has issued a safe eating advisory for any fish caught in the Puddingstone Reservoir due to elevated levels of mercury and PCBs.

San Dimas station is an under construction light rail station in the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. The station is located on San Dimas Avenue near its intersection with Bonita Avenue along the Pasadena Subdivision right-of-way in San Dimas, California. It will be served by the A Line. It is currently under construction as part of the Foothill Extension Project and is slated to open in summer 2025.The former Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway San Dimas Depot is located about 1⁄5 mile (0.32 km) to the northwest and houses the Pacific Railroad Museum. A city-owned 300-space park and ride facility is located adjacent to the facility at 205 S San Dimas Avenue.

The San Dimas Hotel, also known as Walker House, the Carruthers Home, and the San Dimas Mansion, is a historic structure in San Dimas, California, built by the San Jose Ranch Company in 1887. Originally built as a hotel, the 15,000-square-foot (1,400 m2) structure had 33 rooms and 14 fireplaces. The hotel was built in anticipation of a land boom that never happened, and it never had a paying guest. In 1889, the property was sold to James W. and Sue Walker for $25,000. After being occupied by seven generations of Walkers, the property was turned into a restaurant in 1979. The building became vacant in 1997 and was later acquired and renovated by the City of San Dimas. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Raging Waters is a chain of two water theme parks in San Dimas, California, and Sydney, Australia. The parks are operated by Palace Entertainment and owned by its parent company Parques Reunidos, but they each contain different attractions. The parks are generally closed during the winter months.

The South Hills are a low mountain range of the Transverse Ranges, within the San Gabriel Valley in eastern Los Angeles County, California.The South Hills are north of the Interstate 210 Freeway, in the southern part of the city of Glendora, with the western portion of the hills in the City of Glendora's South Hills Park. They are north of the unincorporated town of Charter Oak and northwest of the city of San Dimas.

Charter Oak is a census-designated place (CDP) in Los Angeles County, California, approximately 26 miles (42 km) east of downtown Los Angeles. The population was 9,310 at the 2010 census, up from 9,027 at the 2000 census. Charter Oak is located in the eastern San Gabriel Valley, situated along Arrow Highway in between Covina to the south, Glendora to the north and San Dimas to the east. Residents tend to refer to the CDP portion as the "unincorporated part of Covina", or simply as "Covina". Originally a small agricultural town (primarily citrus orchards) centered on the intersection of Arrow Highway and Bonnie Cove Avenue, population growth greatly expanded the area recognized as "Charter Oak". Since the 1960s, it has been known as a "bedroom community" suburb of Los Angeles and commercial agriculture is nearly gone. Today, the generally accepted boundaries of historical Charter Oak are I-210 to the north, Valley Center Avenue to the east, Covina Hills Road to the south and Grand Avenue to the west, corresponding to the boundaries of Charter Oak Unified School District. However, the actual CDP area is notably smaller in the present day.

Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park is a man-made recreational area in San Dimas, California, United States, in Los Angeles County. It is near the Orange Freeway (State Route 57), the Foothill Freeway (Interstate 210) and the San Bernardino Freeway (Interstate 10). It is named after former LA County Supervisor Frank G. Bonelli.The park contains a 250-acre (1.0 km2) lake called Puddingstone Reservoir, which provides a place for fishing, swimming, sailing, wind surfing, boating, and jet skiing, along with a waterfall. Other recreation in the park includes kayak rentals (by Wheel Fun), RV campgrounds adjacent to the park (separate facility), six playgrounds, barbecues, hiking, biking, family picnic areas, and private picnic areas for company picnics, company parties, church picnics and other group events or gatherings. The private areas are run exclusively by James Events, which has a contract with Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation. However, families and small groups may contact the park directly to reserve other areas of the park. The park is adjacent to one of the area's largest water parks, Raging Waters. The park will host mountain biking at the 2028 Summer Olympics.
