Providence Tarzana Medical Center

The Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center consisted of two hospitals, one in Tarzana and the other in Encino, California. Together, the two hospitals had approximately 400 beds. The hospitals were owned by Tenet Healthcare until 2008. Previously, Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center was operated as a joint venture between Tenet and HCA, but Tenet bought out its partner's share in 2006 in preparation for divesting it. Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center specializes in cardiac services, diabetes care, geriatrics, orthopedics, women's health & maternity care, oncology, rehabilitation medicine, pediatrics and has one of the largest neonatal intensive care units in the Valley. In June 2008, the Encino Regional Medical Center was bought by Prime Healthcare Services. In July 2008, the Tarzana Regional Medical Center was bought by Providence Health & Services.

Reseda station is a station on the G Line of the Los Angeles Metro Busway system. It is named after adjacent Reseda Boulevard, which travels north–south and crosses the east–west busway route. The station is in the Los Angeles districts of Reseda and Tarzana.

Crespi Carmelite High School, shortly known as Crespi, is a private Catholic all-male four-year college preparatory high school located in Encino District, Los Angeles, California. It is part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. The school was named for Friar Juan Crespí, and was founded in 1959 by the Carmelite religious order, and has been run by the Carmelites since that time.

Holy Martyrs Armenian Elementary and Ferrahian High School (Armenian: ՍՐԲՈՑ ՆԱՀԱՏԱԿԱՑ ԱԶԳԱՅԻՆ ՆԱԽԱԿՐԹԱՐԱՆ ՖԵՐԱՀԵԱՆ ԵՐԿՐՈՐԴԱԿԱՆ ՎԱՐԺԱՐԱՆ) is an Armenian-American private school located in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, California, United States. The school has two campuses: the high school, middle school and main offices, which are located in Encino, and the kindergarten and elementary school, which are located in North Hills. The school is part of the Western Prelacy of Armenian Schools, which seeks to promote bilingual education and cultural growth to the city's Armenian community. Instruction is in Armenian and English. The school is accredited by WASC and earned its most recent six-year accreditation in spring, 2007. Students at Ferrahian High School are encouraged to take advantage of the extracurricular activities available. Some of them include: academic competitions, athletics, student council, student clubs and committees and yearbook editing. The school organizes a yearly trip to Armenia for its junior class.

Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies is a magnet public school in the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, California, United States. Despite the name, SOCES is located in the Tarzana section of Los Angeles on the former campus of Sequoia Junior High School. (Prior to 1980, the campus was located at the site of present-day Sherman Oaks Elementary School in the Sherman Oaks section of Los Angeles). The school is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District. SOCES is a California Distinguished School at which students can stay from 4th through 12th grade. SOCES is listed as a national gold-rated school and is one of the "Best High Schools in America" according to U.S. News & World Report. The school is also listed in the Washington Post's "America's Most Challenging High Schools". The school was named a National Magnet School of Distinction by the Magnet Schools of America in 2008 and 2009. As of July 2007, the school was issued a full six-year term of accreditation by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges' accreditation process. SOCES has a three-year average Academic Performance Index score of 888 as of September 2014.

Reseda Charter High School, established in 1955, is located in the Reseda section of the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, California, United States. In the fall of 2018 the school became a charter and is now Reseda Charter High School. In the fall of 2020 the school added middle grades becoming a 6-12. It is in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Reseda Charter is one of the "Best High Schools in America" and one of the "Best Magnet Schools In America" according to U.S. News & World Report. The school's Police Academy Magnet and Science Magnet were named a national Magnet School of Distinction by the Magnet Schools of America in 2017, 2018, and 2019. As of July 2017, the school was issued a full six-year term of accreditation by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges' accreditation process. The charter school is now home to Charter Academy 6-12 w/ enrollment by charter lottery and automatically for former residential boundary students, an International Dual Language Center (Spanish) 6-12, a School for Advanced Studies 6-12: PLTW Biomedical Science CTE pathway 9-12, the Arts, Media & Entertainment 9-12 Magnet: Film Production and Management Magnet 9-12, the Police Academy Magnet 9-12, and the Reseda High School Science Magnet 9-12: PLTW Biomedical Science & PLTW Engineering Magnet. Reseda Charter High School is in the planning stages of a 180+ million dollar renovation. New buildings will include administration, library, auditorium, Regent Hall (cafeteria), kitchen and food service and two classroom buildings which will replace three industrial arts buildings. The new administration building will house administration, counseling, three magnet offices (AMEM, PA, Science), campus security, school police, college counseling, parent center, nursing and psychological services.

Westmark School is a private school in Encino, California, teaching 2nd through 12th grade. The school serves children with language-based learning differences including attention-deficit disorder and dyslexia among other learning disorders.The school is the first in the Los Angeles area to provide iPads to all students. School administrators and teachers consider the high costs worth it for what it adds to the education program. Westmark has a television station education program in which its 5th grade students write the material and produce the program. The school library has materials of various types to cater to the students with various learning needs.

Tarzana () is a suburban neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, California. Tarzana is on the site of a former ranch owned by author Edgar Rice Burroughs. It is named after Burroughs' fictional jungle hero, Tarzan.

Aliso Creek (also Aliso Canyon Wash or Aliso Wash) is a major tributary of the Upper Los Angeles River in the Santa Susana Mountains in Los Angeles County and western San Fernando Valley in the City of Los Angeles, California. It has a watershed of 21 square miles (54 km2). It is the second major tributary, after Browns Canyon Wash−Creek, to enter the Los Angeles River downstream of its headwaters at the confluence of Bell Creek and Arroyo Calabasas in Canoga Park.

The Encino Oak Tree, also known as the Lang Oak, was a 1,000-year-old California live oak tree, Quercus agrifolia, in the Encino section of Los Angeles, California. It was designated as a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument (HCM #24) in 1963.

Pedlow Skate Park is a skatepark in the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. It was the first public skatepark in Los Angeles when it opened to the public on February 17, 2001, and was later reopened in August 2006 after extensive work and new features. It is a concrete park over 20,000 sq ft (1,900 m2) with a large pool, snake run bowl, pyramid and rails. It has hosted events such as the 2013 Southern California Summer Skateboarding Expo and OG Jam competitions
