New Rome is an unincorporated community in eastern Prairie Township, Franklin County, Ohio, United States, located on the west side of the Columbus, Ohio metropolitan area. It was originally incorporated as a village in 1947, and was dissolved in 2004. It encompassed an area roughly defined by Lawrence Ave., Norton Rd., Green St., and an unnamed alley paralleling Broad St. to the north. The population was 60 at the 2000 census. New Rome achieved infamy due to its traffic court and speed trap, which received national media attention, and the internal corruption of its local government. In 2004, the village was ordered legally dissolved by a Franklin County Court of Common Pleas judge, and its residents, land and assets were made part of Prairie Township.

Lincoln Village is a census-designated place (CDP) in Prairie Township, Franklin County, Ohio, United States. It is centered near the intersection of US 40 and I-270 on the west side of Columbus. As of the 2020 census, the population was 9,702. Lincoln Village was started in 1955 as a planned community by a real estate subsidiary of Nationwide Insurance.

Murray Hill is a neighborhood on the west side of Columbus, Ohio. It is part of the Lincoln Village subdivision and is colloquially known as Lincoln Village. It is bounded by West Broad Street on the north, Sullivant Avenue on the south, South Grener Avenue on the east, and Redmond and Hiler Roads on the west. Prairie Township is one of the seventeen townships of Franklin County, Ohio, United States. As of the 2010 census the population was 16,498. Prairie Township is on the far west side of Franklin County touching the east side of Madison County. Each year Prairie Township Fire Department hosts the Annual Fish Fry and Classic Car Show the last weekend of June. Westland Area Business Association (WABA) holds the Annual Independence Parade on the last Saturday of June in Prairie Township.

Cherry Creek is a neighborhood on the West Side of Columbus, Ohio. It is a part of Lincoln Village and the Greater Hilltop. It contains the Oakbrook Manor (formally Lincoln Park) apartments and the Westview apartments. It is bounded on the east by Interstate 270, on the north by Sullivant Avenue, on the west by Norton Road, and on the south by Hall Road. It is in the ZIP code 43228. Its official area is West Columbus. The neighborhood is known as being the birthplace of the Westside Foxes where legendary parties took place in the Harlor apartment from 1993-1997. Although they are technically two separate neighborhoods, Cherry Creek and Murray Hill are often considered the same neighborhood. They are only separated by Sullivant Avenue, and many people just consider the two together Cherry Creek. This is reflected by the Columbus Police Department grouping the two together as one neighborhood.

Westland Mall is a defunct 860,000-square-foot (80,000 m2) shopping center located at the intersection of U.S. Route 40 and Interstate 270 on the west side of Columbus, Ohio. In November 2012, the majority of the mall closed, and the last anchor closed in 2017. Developers plan to demolish the structure and build a mixed-use project at the site.

The Flow Skatepark was a world-famous skatepark in Columbus, Ohio, US, established July 6, 2001 by Shannon Turner and Craig Billingsley. At approximately 50,000 square feet (4,600 m2), The Flow was one of the largest indoor skateparks in the nation. It was voted #1 skatepark in the United States by Fuel TV.The Flow Skatepark closed April 28, 2013.

Georgian Heights is a neighborhood in West Columbus, in Columbus, Ohio, United States. It neighbors Holly Hill. The two are bounded together by Sullivant Avenue on the north, Clime Road on the south, Georgesville Road on the west, and Demorest Road on the east. There is a 10.7 acre public park, Georgian Heights Park, in the center of the area. Georgian Heights has a youth travel football team called the Georgian Heights Packers. The neighborhood is generally lower-middle class.

Riverbend is a neighborhood in southwest Columbus, Ohio. Riverbend itself is a single subdivision that is located next to Big Run Park. Because Riverbend is at the southwest border of the city, it was not annexed into the city until the late 1960s. A major road that serves as the northern boundary of the neighborhood, Clime Road, has segments that have yet to be annexed into the city.

Holly Hill is a neighborhood located in West Columbus, Columbus, Ohio, United States. Holly Hill is a traditional 1960s suburban neighborhood consisting of mostly brick ranch houses and some bi-level houses. The houses range in size from approximately 860 square feet (80 m2) up to 1,500 square feet (140 m2). Holly Hill is located next to Georgian Heights.

The Hartley Mound is a Native American burial mound in Columbus, Ohio. The mound was created around 2,000 years ago by the Pre-Columbian Native American Adena culture. The site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. The mound measures 2 ft. high and 43 ft. in diameter. The site's location near a tributary to a major waterway, artifacts found nearby, and the small subconical form of the mound, suggests that it was built by the Adena culture (c. 500 B.C. – 400 A.D.). It is one of few mounds not seriously disturbed by agriculture, industry, or illegal excavation. Upon archaeological excavation, the site should provide information on Adena burial customs and domestic or mortuary structures.Resources about the site, including its National Register of Historic Places nomination, are restricted under the Archaeological Resources Protection Act of 1979.
