WWDB (860 AM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with its studios and offices in the "555 Building" on City Avenue in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania. It is owned by the Beasley Broadcast Group and broadcasts mostly paid brokered programming. Shows on health, money, gardening, home repair, real estate, religion and politics are found on the schedule. Some programs are broadcast in Hungarian, Ukrainian, Yiddish, Italian and other languages. Hosts pay for their time on the air and may advertise their services or products during their programs. WWDB is a daytimer radio station. Because AM 860 is a clear channel frequency reserved for Class A CJBC Toronto, WWDB must go off the air at sunset to avoid interference. It is powered at 10,000 watts, using a directional antenna. The transmitter is off Foundry Road in East Norriton Township. WWDB's tower site is also used by 950 WKDN for its nighttime operations.

The log house was built in 1717, and is a two-story, two bay by two bay, stone dwelling. It measures approximately 25 feet square.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Licensed to King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, United States, the station is owned by Alan and Susan Loch, through licensee Trinity Associates Broadcasting, LLC. Its Valcom whip antenna and transmitter are located in Jeffersonville in the Jeffersonville Golf Club.As a daytime only station, its frequency is occupied by WHAM from Rochester, New York, in the evenings.

Methacton High School (MHS) is a public high school located in the Fairview Village area, in Worcester Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. A part of the Methacton School District, it serves students in grades 9–12 from Worcester and Lower Providence townships (including the census-designated places of Audubon, Eagleville and Trooper). The school's mascot is a Native American warrior, and its colors are green and white. The school has approximately 1,757 students and 183 faculty. The current principal is Dr. Jamie Gravinese.

The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU) was founded in Norristown, Pennsylvania, United States and is located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It is one of 29 Intermediate Units formed by the Pennsylvania General Assembly in 1971 to provide support to local school districts. Created to replace the County Office of Superintendent, Intermediate Units provide special services as needed by the educational community in their service area. MCIU services are designed to align with the educational and social service needs of Montgomery County's schools. It was originally located at 1605 West Main Street in rural Norristown, before being moved to a much larger location at 2 West Lafayette Street in downtown Norristown in 2017. The MCIU is governed by a 22-member board of directors composed of representatives from each of the 22 component school districts in Montgomery County. Services are provided through nine divisions: Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development; Human Resources; Technology and Information Services; Legislative Services and Grant Development; Financial and Management Services; Nonpublic School Services; PaTTAN; Special Education, and Communications. Funding sources include state subsidy, government and foundation grants, contributions from districts and fees for service.

Norristown Farm Park is a 690-acre (279 ha) Pennsylvania state park in East Norriton and West Norriton Townships and Norristown in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. Located just off of Interstate 276 on West Germantown Pike, it is operated in partnership with the Montgomery County Department of Parks. A working farm on the site of Norristown State Hospital, the park has multiple colonial-era farm buildings and homes on its grounds.Stony Creek flows through the park. Baseball, bicycling, cross-country skiing, hiking, fishing, and picnicking opportunities are available in the park, as are summer musical concerts.

West Norriton Township is a township in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of the Norristown Area School District. The population of the township was 15,663 at the 2010 census.

Norristown State Hospital, originally known as the State Lunatic Hospital at Norristown, is an active state-funded psychiatric hospital located outside the city of Philadelphia in suburban Norristown, Pennsylvania. It was originally designed between 1878 and 1880, by the local firm of Wilson Brothers & Company; of which, the original structure was set in a red brick Victorian High Gothic motif. It remains active for its originally clinical intention, and currently serving Bucks County, Chester County, Delaware County, Montgomery County and Philadelphia County, providing clinical services in General Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry. Additionally, there are various agencies that sublet state hospital buildings for a variety of psychiatric, residential and social services. These agencies currently make up the majority of services that are offered on the grounds of the hospital. In February 2018, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania announced that they would be closing the civil unit at Norristown State permanently. There have been some voices of dissent among the public, as the majority of these patients would be redirected to community residential settings and outpatient psychiatry. This closure will re-route remaining civil psychiatric beds north to Danville State Hospital in Montour County, Pennsylvania. The forensic facilities at Norristown, however, will remain active well into the foreseeable future, as it is one of only two such facilities in Pennsylvania.

Selma Mansion is one of the oldest structures in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Located on the western edge of the town, Selma was built by General Andrew Porter in 1794 around an existing structure purchased from Alexander McCammon in 1786. Porter was a soldier during the American Revolutionary War and helped found the Continental Marines, forerunner of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was later appointed Surveyor General, helped lay out the borders of the commonwealth and attained the rank of general.
