Bolshaya Dmitrovka Street is a street located in Tverskoy District of Moscow. It runs from Okhotny Ryad to Strastnoy Boulevard. The numbering of houses is carried out from Okhotny Ryad.

Stoleshnikov Pereulok or Stoleshnikov Lane (Russian: Столешников переулок) is a short street with boutiques and shops with many luxury goods located within the Boulevard Ring in central Moscow and known as one of the most expensive shopping areas in the world. The street runs from Tverskaya Street in the west, to Petrovka Street in the east.

The Russian State Archive of Socio-Political History (RGASPI) (Russian: Российский государственный архив социально-политической истории (РГАСПИ)) is a large Russian state archive based in Moscow, which holds pre-1952 archives of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU). It is managed by Rosarkhiv. It was established in 1999 as merger of two other archives, the Russian Centre for the Preservation and Study of Documents of Most Recent History (RTsKhIDNI, Russian: Российский центр хранения и изучения документов новейшей истории (РЦХИДНИ) and the Centre for the Preservation of Documents of Youth Organizations (Russian: Центр хранения документов молодежных организаций (ЦХДМО)). Post-1952 archives of the CPSU are collected in the Russian State Archive of Contemporary History. The archives include many of the personal papers of major Communist and Soviet leaders, including Nikolai Bukharin, Felix Dzerzhinsky, Lazar Kaganovich, Mikhail Kalinin, Lev Kamenev, Sergei Kirov, Georgy Malenkov, Anastas Mikoyan, V. M. Molotov, Georgi Plekhanov, Joseph Stalin, Leon Trotsky, and Grigory Zinoviev.

The Stanislavski and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre (Russian: Московский академический Музыкальный театр имени народных артистов К. С. Станиславского и Вл. И. Немировича-Данченко) is a music theatre in Moscow. The Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre was founded in 1941 when two companies directed by the legendary reformers of twentieth-century theatre — Konstantin Stanislavski and Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko — merged: the Stanislavsky Opera Theatre (established at the end of 1918 as an Opera Studio of the Bolshoi Theatre) and the Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre (set up in 1919 as a Studio of the Moscow Art Theatre). The ballet company entered the Theatre as a part of Nemirovich-Danchenko's troupe. It was the former company of the Moscow Art Ballet, established in 1929 by Victorina Krieger, the ballerina of the Bolshoi Theatre. She was Artistic Director and one of the principal dancers of the Moscow Art Ballet. Soon after Stanislavsky's death, Nemirovich-Danchenko took charge of all the companies (Vsevolod Meyerhold invited by Stanislavsky to work for his theatre, was arrested in 1939, and no other stage director could prove equal to Nemirovich-Danchenko). Then the theatre was given its present name.

Petrovka Street is a street in Moscow, Russia, that runs north from Kuznetsky Most and Theatral Square up past Strastnoy Boulevard and Petrovsky Boulevard. The street takes its name from the St. Peter's Monastery, situated at the top of the hill, at the intersection of the street and the Boulevard Ring. The street is a home to upscale shops, offices, and night clubs, such as the historic Petrovka Passazh and TsUM. Perhaps the most famous building is the Moscow Criminal Police (Petrovka, 38). The Petrovka Theatre, built in 1780 at the intersection of Petrovka and Okhotny Ryad, has been known as the Bolshoi Theatre since 1824. The street ends just before the Garden Ring, where the Hermitage Garden is located. The nearest metro station is Teatralnaya, located on the Zamoskvoretskaya Line.

The Moscow Museum of Modern Art is a museum of modern and contemporary art located in Moscow, Russia. It was opened to public in December 1999. The project of the museum was initiated and executed by Zurab Tsereteli, president of the Russian Academy of Arts. In 2018, The Vadim Sidur Museum and Museum-Studio of Dmitry Nalbandyan are branches of the Moscow Museum of Modern Arts.

Aragvi was a Soviet and Russian restaurant on Tverskaya Street in Moscow that specialized in Georgian and Caucasian cuisine. During Soviet times, it had a reputation as an important gathering place for political, scientific, and cultural elites. Aragvi has also been featured in American and Soviet popular culture. The building housing the restaurant, the former "Hotel Dresden", is recognized as a Russian cultural heritage site. Aragvi closed permanently in early 2019.

Moscow Chekhov Art Theatre (Russian: Московский Художественный театр имени А. П. Чехова) is a drama theatre in Moscow founded in 1987 after the division of the Gorky Moscow Art Theatre into two theatres. Since 1989, it has been named after Anton Pavlovich Chekhov, one of its main authors. In 2004, it returned to its historical name, "Moscow Art Theatre", abandoning the title "academic". Its artistic director is Konstantin Khabensky, People's Artist of the Russian Federation(since October 28, 2021).

Chekhovskaya (Russian: Чеховская) is a station of the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya Line of the Moscow Metro. It was opened on December 31, 1987, and served as the northern terminus of the line for the following year. Its depth is 62 metres (203 ft). The vestibule is located in Pushkinskaya Square, while the station is named for the writer Anton Chekhov. It was the deepest station in Moscow Metro from 1987 until 1991.

Vysokopetrovsky Monastery (Russian: Высокопетровский монастырь, English: High Monastery of St Peter) is a Russian Orthodox monastery in the Bely Gorod area of Moscow, commanding a hill whence Petrovka Street descends towards the Kremlin. The monastery is believed to have been founded around the 1320s by Saint Peter of Moscow, the first Russian metropolitan to have his see in Moscow. The cloister gave its name to adjacent Petrovka Street, one of the streets radiating from Red Square. In the late 17th century, the Naryshkin boyars, maternal relatives of Peter the Great, turned the monastery into their family burial place. They had it reconstructed in the Naryshkin Baroque style of architecture associated with their name. In the mid-18th century, several subsidiary structures were added, possibly based on designs by Dmitry Ukhtomsky or Ivan Fyodorovich Michurin. The katholikon, dedicated to St Peter of Moscow, was long regarded as a typical monument of the Naryshkin style and dated to 1692. In the 1970s, however, detailed studies of written sources and excavations of the site revealed that the katholikon actually had been built in 1514-1517 by Aloisio the New.After the monastery was closed down by the Soviet authorities in 1929, Archimandrite Bartholomew Remov arranged for the monks and nuns to continue their monastic life in secret at the Nativity Church at Putinki, where he was the Rector. The spiritual life of the monastery continued at Putinki until the NKVD was informed and arrested everyone involved in 1935.In 1992 several buildings of the monastery were returned to the Russian Orthodox Church. As of 2005, the buildings are shared by the Russian Orthodox Church and the Moscow Literature Museum.

The Moscow Art Theatre (or MAT; Russian: Московский Художественный академический театр (МХАТ), Moskovskiy Hudojestvenny Akademicheskiy Teatr (МHАТ)) was a theatre company in Moscow. It was founded in 1898 by the seminal Russian theatre practitioner Konstantin Stanislavski, together with the playwright and director Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko. It was conceived as a venue for naturalistic theatre, in contrast to the melodramas that were Russia's dominant form of theatre at the time. The theatre, the first to regularly put on shows implementing Stanislavski's system, proved hugely influential in the acting world and in the development of modern American theatre and drama. It was officially renamed the Gorky Moscow Art Theatre in 1932. In 1987, the theatre split into two troupes, the Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre and the Gorky Moscow Art Theatre.

The Moscow City Duma (Russian: Московская городская дума, romanized: Moskovskaya gorodskaya duma) is the Russian regional parliament in Moscow, the unicameral City Duma (city council, a local parliament) of the Russian capital city of Moscow. As Moscow is one of three federal cities, the city duma's legislation can only be overridden by the mayor and the federal government.
