The Somers Point Public Schools are a community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from Somers Point, in Atlantic County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2018–19 school year, the district, comprising three schools, had an enrollment of 894 students and 95.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.4:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "CD", the sixth-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.Students in public school for ninth through twelfth grades attend Mainland Regional High School, which also serves students from Linwood and Northfield. The high school is located in Linwood. For the 1997-98 school year, Mainland Regional High School was recognized by the United States Department of Education as a National Blue Ribbon School. As of the 2018–19 school year, the high school had an enrollment of 1,226 students and 112.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.9:1.The district's Education Foundation has funded technology programs, mini-grants and the annual Stokes Trip, investing approximately $250,000 to schools since it was established in 1995.

Shore Medical Center, formerly Shore Memorial Hospital, is a full-service acute care community hospital located in Somers Point, New Jersey, serving Atlantic and Cape May counties.

Somers Point is a city situated on the Jersey Shore that is the oldest settlement in Atlantic County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It was settled by Europeans in 1693 and was incorporated as a borough in 1886. Somers Point was incorporated as a city in 1902. The city is located in eastern Atlantic County, southwest of Atlantic City, in the South Jersey region of the state. As of the 2020 United States census, the city's population was 10,469, a decrease of 326 (−3.0%) from the 2010 census count of 10,795, which in turn reflected a decline of 819 (−7.1%) from the 11,614 counted in the 2000 census. Somers Point and all of Atlantic County lie within the Atlantic City-Hammonton metropolitan statistical area, which in turn constitutes part of the Philadelphia-Reading-Camden combined statistical area.

Chartertech High School for the Performing Arts is a public charter high school for students in ninth through twelfth grades in Somers Point, Atlantic County, New Jersey, United States, that focuses on education in the performing arts. The school operates independently of the local school district under a charter granted by the New Jersey Department of Education. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 380 students and 42.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.0:1. There were 223 students (58.7% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 28 (7.4% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

The Great Egg Harbor Bridge is a series of four bridges along the Garden State Parkway in New Jersey, with tolls collected in the southbound direction. It crosses the Great Egg Harbor Bay, connecting Upper Township, in Cape May County to Somers Point in Atlantic County. The bridge crosses over a section of Egg Harbor Township, and Drag Island. It carries a portion of U.S. Route 9.

The Beesley's Point Bridge was a bridge in New Jersey, United States, that was built privately by the Ocean City Automobile Club in 1927. Completed in 1928, control of the bridge was acquired by the Beesley's Point Bridge Company. It was a toll bridge from its opening. Prior to its closing, it was best known for carrying U.S. Route 9 (US 9) over the Great Egg Harbor Bay, connecting Upper Township, in Cape May County to Somers Point in Atlantic County. The bridge concurrently carried the Garden State Parkway over the Great Egg Harbor Bay from the Parkway's opening in 1954 until a separate bridge over the bay for the Parkway, the Great Egg Harbor Bridge, opened in 1955.Through the decades, the Beesley's Point Bridge Company became unable to fund repairs on the aging bridge. In 1997, the bridge company, in conjunction with private outside investors, secured a $1 million loan from the New Jersey Department of Transportation to fund the necessary improvements in exchange for a promise that they would continue to keep the bridge open until 2016.In 2004, the owners of the bridge broke that promise realizing that the repairs would cost many times more than the original estimate. As a result, the Company agreed to close the bridge and it closed to traffic on June 18, 2004. US 9 was subsequently rerouted over the Great Egg Harbor Bridge.

Ocean City Tenth Street Station is located in Ocean City in Cape May County, New Jersey. Built in 1898, it served rail service until 1981. The building now operates as the Ocean City Transportation Center, which is a bus stop for NJ Transit. In 2012, the building was damaged after being flooded by Hurricane Sandy, and was reconstructed to its historic appearance.

WLOM (90.5 FM) was a radio station licensed to the community of Somers Point, New Jersey. The station went on the air with a Contemporary Christian Music format on October 22, 2000. As WXGN, original licensee Joy Broadcasting, Inc. was granted the original construction permit on February 9, 1996.Effective August 17, 2020, Joy Broadcasting sold WXGN to Hope Christian Church of Marlton, who began broadcasting their "Hope FM" Christian radio format. The station changed its call sign to WLOM on August 24, 2020. On July 26, 2021, Hope Christian Church surrendered the WLOM license for cancellation. Simultaneously, it filed to upgrade another Hope FM transmitter, WWFP in Brigantine.

WXGN-LP (92.7 FM, "Truth That Rocks") is a radio station broadcasting a Christian radio format. Licensed to serve Ocean City, New Jersey, United States, the station is currently owned by Joy Broadcasting, Inc.

Ocean City City Hall is located in Ocean City, Cape May County, New Jersey, United States. The building was built in 1914 and added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 13, 1997. To celebrate its 100th anniversary, it was made the subject of the 2014 Ocean City Seasonal Beach Tag. Every fall, students of Ocean City High School turn the building into a Haunted House to celebrate Halloween, although there have been gaps where this didn't happen.

Ocean City Residential Historic District consists of 169 properties, dating back to the 1880s, located in Ocean City, New Jersey. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 20, 2003.
