Oaks Park High School, Carshalton

Carshalton Park is a public park in Carshalton, in the London Borough of Sutton. It is situated south of the High Street, in the area bounded by Ruskin Road, Ashcombe Road, Woodstock Road and The Park. Carshalton Park and some of the surrounding houses, are within a conservation area.

Wallington railway station is in the London Borough of Sutton in south London. The station, and all trains serving it, is operated by Southern, and is in Travelcard Zone 5. It is between Waddon and Carshalton Beeches, 13 miles 5 chains (13.06 miles, 21.02 km) down the line from London Bridge, measured via Forest Hill.The station was opened on 10 May 1847 by the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway as 'Carshalton' on the new Croydon to Epsom railway and was renamed to 'Wallington' in 1868 when the new Carshalton railway station opened in Carshalton village. During 2009 some renovations to the station were undertaken, including platform raising. Ticket barriers are in operation at this station.

Carshalton was a local government district in north east Surrey from 1883 to 1965 around the town of Carshalton. The parish of Carshalton adopted the Local Government Act 1858 in 1883 and a local board was formed to govern the town. The Local Government Act 1894 reconstituted the area as an urban district, and an elected urban district council replaced the local board. In 1933 the boundaries of the district were altered after the abolition of Epsom Rural District.The district was abolished in 1965 by the London Government Act 1963 and the former area was transferred to Greater London to be combined with that of other districts to form the present-day London Borough of Sutton.Carshalton Urban District Council were granted armorial bearings by the College of Arms on 14 May 1952. The basic colours of the shield were gold and red, from the arms of the Mandeville family who anciently held the manor of Carshalton. The chevron in the centre of the arms was derived from the arms of the Gaynesford and Scawen families. On the chevron was placed a heraldic fountain for the many springs and pools of the town, with on either side a silver sprig of oak. The oak sprigs came from the arms of Surrey County Council. The lions appeared in the arms of three local families: Burgersh, Fellowes and Hardwick. The greyhound was from the Gaynesford family arms, and also depicted the historic Greyhound Inn. The crest above the shield featured a mural crown as symbol of local government. On this was placed a Tudor rose, the symbol of the UDC prior to 1952. From the crown rose a swan, based on the Bohun swan, the heraldic badge of the Bohun family. In the swan's beak was a sprig of beech symbolising Carshalton Beeches.The council met in the Carshalton Council Offices in The Square. The building has been Grade II listed since 1974.

The Carshalton Council Offices is a former municipal building on The Square, Carshalton, London. The structure, which was briefly the headquarters of Carshalton Urban District Council before becoming a public library, is a Grade II listed building.

Carshalton and Wallington is a constituency (also known as a seat) represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom since 2019 by Elliot Colburn, a Conservative. The seat was created at the 1983 general election, replacing the former seat of Carshalton.

The Charles Cryer Theatre is a studio theatre located in the High Street in Carshalton in the London Borough of Sutton. The theatre is named after the man who led the campaign to open the Secombe Theatre in neighbouring Sutton. It was opened by Prince Edward in 1991. It closed in 2016, but in November 2019 it reopened under new management.

The station, and all trains serving it, is operated by Southern, and is in Travelcard Zone 5. It is between Wallington and Sutton, 13 miles 72 chains (13.90 miles, 22.37 km) down the line from London Bridge, measured via Forest Hill.The station is under a mile from Oaks Park and can be accessed along Woodmansterne Road.

The Grove Park, or The Grove is a public park in Carshalton in the London Borough of Sutton. It is situated close to Carshalton Village in the area approximately bounded by the High Street, North Street and Mill Lane. The southwest corner of the park abuts one of Carshalton's ponds (Lower Pond) from where water flows through the park as the river Wandle.

Sutton Ecology Centre Grounds is a 1.3 hectare Local Nature Reserve and Site of Borough Importance for Nature Conservation, Grade 1, in Carshalton in the London Borough of Sutton. It is owned by Sutton Council and managed by the Council together with the Friends of Sutton Ecology Centre.The area was recorded as an orchard called Cook's Orchard from 1590. In the eighteenth century it was the kitchen garden for Stone Court, which was demolished in about 1800. The grounds also include The Old Rectory, built in the early eighteenth century. The Ecology Centre opened in 1989.Habitats include ponds, woodland, meadows, marshlands. There are also small demonstration gardens. In the south is the old course of the River Wandle, which in now dry most of the time, but still has yellow flag iris. Margaret's Pool has a number of species of dragonfly and damselfly, and the trees surrounding it are sycamore and ash.There is access from Festival Walk.
