Natural History Museum (Muséum d'histoire naturelle) is a museum that specializes in zoology, prehistory, and paleontology and is located in the city of Le Havre in the Normandy region of France.

The Diocese of Le Havre (Latin: Dioecesis Portus Gratiae; French: Diocèse du Havre [djɔsɛz dy ɑvʁ(ə)]) is a Latin diocese of the Catholic Church in France. Erected in 1974, the episcopal see is Le Havre Cathedral in the city of Le Havre. The diocese comprises the arrondissement of Le Havre in the department of Seine-Maritime, Normandy.

Le Havre Cathedral (French: Cathédrale Notre-Dame du Havre) is a Roman Catholic church in Le Havre, France. The cathedral was previously a parish church dating from the 16th and 17th centuries, and is the oldest of the very few buildings in central Le Havre to have survived the devastation of World War II. It became a cathedral and the seat of the Bishop of Le Havre in 1974, when the diocese of Le Havre was created. The belltower dates from around 1520 and the main façade is Baroque. The building was kept unusually low because of the difficulties posed by the unstable ground. The fine church organs were the gift of the Cardinal de Richelieu in 1637, when he was governor of the town.

La Maison de l'armateur (The Ship Owner's House) is one of the departments of the Museum of Art and History of Le Havre, Normandy region, France. It is located in a building situated in the 18th century. The name of the house originates from the profession of its previous owners, the Foäche family, who possessed a ship company. The museum presents the history of Le Havre and illustrates the lifestyle of the French bourgeoisie in the 18th century.

Hôtel Dubocage de Bléville is a department of the museum of Art and History in Le Havre, Normandy, France. The architectural complex consists of two jointed houses built in the 17th and 18th century and a French garden. At the moment the museum mostly houses temporary exhibitions in the building.

The Museum of Modern Art André Malraux - MuMa (French: Musée d'art moderne André Malraux, also known as Musée Malraux or simply MuMa) is a museum in Le Havre, France containing one of the nation's most extensive collections of impressionist paintings. It was designed by Atelier LWD, an architecture studio led by Guy Lagneau, Michel Weill and Jean Dimitrijevic. It is named after André Malraux, Minister of Culture when the museum was opened in 1961.

St. Joseph's Church, Le Havre is a Roman Catholic church in Le Havre, France. From 1945 to 1964, the City of Le Havre commissioned Auguste Perret and his studio to head the rebuilding of the entire city after it had been completely destroyed by the British during World War II. St. Joseph's was built between 1951 and 1957/58 as part of this reconstruction. It acts as a memorial to the five thousand civilians fallen and the usual sanctuary dedicated to a patron saint; in this case Saint Joseph, fittingly the patron saint of a happy death, fathers, workers, travelers, and immigrants. The church was designed by the chief architect for the reconstruction of Le Havre, Perret, who was the teacher and mentor to the Swiss architect Le Corbusier. A centrally-planned building, Saint Joseph's Church was envisioned as a beacon for the city. The church's single, central tower dominates the city skyline, easily visible from the city's port. Perret's vision created a building resembling a lantern, now fondly referred to as the "lantern tower" or the "lighthouse at the heart of the city". Made of concrete, St Joseph's is a product of modern architectural innovation in Post-War France. The tower is 107 meters tall and acts as a beacon visible from out at sea, especially at night when illuminated.

The Funiculaire du Havre (English: Funicular of Le Havre) is a funicular railway line in the French port city of Le Havre. The line is incorporated in the city's public transport network and operated by Bus Océane. It runs between Le Havre (Rue Gustave Flaubert) and the Côte Sainte-Marie (Rue Félix Faure) and includes a tunnel, a loop and a 41% incline. The line was built and opened in 1890 by the Compagnie Générale Française de Tramways (CGFT). Until 1911, it was operated by unreliable steam coaches. In 1911, it was recabled and electrified.

Le Havre is a major port city in the Seine-Maritime department in the Normandy region of northern France. It is situated on the right bank of the estuary of the river Seine on the English Channel southwest of the Pays de Caux, very close to the Prime Meridian. Le Havre is the busiest port on the northern French Coast and largest container port in France. it is the second largest city in the Normandy region of France with total population of the greater Le Havre conurbation being smaller than that of Rouen.It is also the second largest subprefecture in France, after only Reims. The name Le Havre means 'the harbour' or 'the port'. Its inhabitants are known as havrais or havraises. The city and port were founded by King Francis I in 1517. Economic development in the early modern period was hampered by religious wars, conflicts with the English, epidemics, and storms. It was from the end of the 18th century that Le Havre started growing and the port took off first with the slave trade then other international trade. After the 1944 bombings the firm of Auguste Perret began to rebuild the city in concrete. The oil, chemical, and automotive industries were dynamic during the Trente Glorieuses (postwar boom) but the 1970s marked the end of the golden age of ocean liners and the beginning of the economic crisis: the population declined, unemployment increased and remains at a high level today. Changes in years 1990–2000 were numerous. The right won the municipal elections and committed the city to the path of reconversion, seeking to develop the service sector and new industries (aeronautics, wind turbines). The Port 2000 project increased the container capacity to compete with ports of northern Europe, transformed the southern districts of the city, and ocean liners returned. Modern Le Havre remains deeply influenced by its employment and maritime traditions. Its port is the second largest in France, after that of Marseille, for total traffic, and the largest French container port. In 2005, UNESCO inscribed the central city of Le Havre as a World Heritage Site because of its unique post-WWII reconstruction and architecture. The André Malraux Modern Art Museum is the second of France for the number of impressionist paintings. The city has been awarded two flowers by the National Council of Towns and Villages in Bloom in the Competition of Cities and Villages in Bloom.
