The Dr. Wesley Bowers House is a historic house located at Southampton in Suffolk County, New York.

Red Maples was an historic estate on fifteen acres in the Village of Southampton, Suffolk County, New York, named after the thirty or so maple trees that once lined its entrance court. The architects Hiss and Weekes designed the house, terraces and several ancillary buildings, and the landscape architect Ferruccio Vitale designed the gardens. Completed in 1913, the house was demolished in 1947 and the estate subdivided over time into eight parcels. A gate house (enlarged and relocated), and a carriage house (converted to a residence) have survived.

Shinnecock Reservation is a Native American reservation for members of the Shinnecock Indian Nation in the town of Southampton in Suffolk County, New York, United States. It is the furthermost east of the two Native American reservations in Suffolk County; the other being Poospatuck Reservation in the town of Brookhaven. It lies on the east side of Shinnecock Bay on southeastern Long Island, near Tuckahoe, Shinnecock Hills, and the village of Southampton. The population was 819 as of the 2020 census. Roughly that many tribal members additionally live off the reservation. In 2010, the Nation received federal recognition as a tribe, a status which it pursued for 32 years. This will enable the tribe to move forward with its plans for a casino; it has already been discussing this with the state and local governments. Opposition to additional casinos in the New York market is based in part on dilution of demand: both the Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut and those in Atlantic City, New Jersey attract thousands of New Yorkers, and Aqueduct Racetrack opened a casino in 2011, and its proximity to the wealthy and powerful located in the neighboring Hamptons communities of the South Fork.

Good Ground Windmill (Shelter Island Mill I) was built in 1807 on the north end of Shelter Island, New York. It was worked as a gristmill on Shelter Island until 1860.

Southampton Village Historic District is a historic district in Southampton, New York, in Suffolk County. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988, and its boundaries were increased in 1993 by what was termed the Lewis Street Expansion Area.It includes the James L. Breese House which is separately listed on the National Register.

The Basilica of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary is a Minor Basilica of the Catholic Church located in the village of Southampton, New York, United States. It is also a parish church of the Diocese of Rockville Centre. The Gothic Revival-style church was completed in 1908 for $100,000. The exterior is covered in white marble. Pope Benedict XVI decreed on November 11, 2011, that Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church was elevated to the status of a minor basilica.

James L. Breese House, also known as "The Orchard", is a historic home located at Southampton in Suffolk County, New York. It was designed as a summer residence between 1897 and 1906 by the prominent architectural firm of McKim, Mead, and White in the Colonial Revival style. An 1858 house original to the site was incorporated into the structure. It is two and one half stories high and clad with white painted wood shingles. It features a two-story portico, reminiscent of Mount Vernon. James Lawrence Breese was a close friend of architect Stanford White, commissioning modifications and additions until the latter's death. The home's spectacular 70-foot "music room" is believed to be White's last completed project. From 1926 to 1956, it was owned by Charles E. Merrill (1885–1956), who deeded it to Amherst College. Amherst College later sold it to the Nyack School for Boys, which closed in 1977. It is located within the Southampton Village Historic District.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Halsey House is a historic house converted into a museum, in Southampton, New York. It was built circa 1683 by Thomas Halsey Jr., the son of pioneer Thomas Halsey Sr.The house has been restored, and is open to the public as a museum. It is filled with many of the same items that were owned by Thomas Halsey's family and other relics. The collection on display includes 17th- and 18th-century furnishings, a Dominy clock, and a rare 16th-century Breeches Bible, this version speaks of Adam and Eve wearing "breeches made of fig leaves." The Halsey estate in Southampton, New York, includes herb and flower gardens and an orchard that are overseen by the Southampton Colonial Society. The Halsey House is also a common gathering place for social events and a variety of programs open to the public.

Southampton Campus was a rail station located along the Montauk Branch of the Long Island Rail Road. Originally a seasonal flag stop called Golf Grounds, it opened April 1907 to serve sites such as the Shinnecock Hills Golf Club and National Golf Links of America and was closed in 1938.In order to serve the Long Island University's Southampton College (now owned by Stony Brook University) it reopened on May 24, 1976. It was discontinued as a station stop and removed on March 16, 1998, due to low usage, along with a handful of other Long Island Rail Road stations. The station only had an average daily ridership of 16 and the low ridership did not make it cost effective for high level platforms to be installed to accommodate new bilevel rail cars.A temporary station was opened in June 2004 for the U.S. Open and was listed as Shinnecock Hills on special timetables. The same situation occurred in 2018 during the 2018 U.S. Open Golf Championship. The Long Island Rail Road also provided service for spectators traveling to the 1986 U.S. Open, when the station was called Southampton College.

WLIW-FM (88.3 FM) is a radio station licensed to Southampton, New York and serving eastern Long Island and coastal Connecticut. Owned by The WNET Group, it is a sister station to PBS member television station WLIW, and features programming from American Public Media, NPR and Public Radio Exchange. The station also broadcasts in HD.It is the only NPR station based on Long Island (population about 8 million). It is one of three public radio stations broadcast to eastern Long Island. The other stations are Connecticut-based WNPR, WSHU-FM and WSUF, which access the market via repeater stations.In addition to its to NPR programming, local programs include jazz, rhythm and blues, world music and music from Broadway theater, as well as "Heart of the East End" with Gianna Volpe, "The Afternoon Ramble" with Brian Cosgrove and "The Urban Jazz Experience" with Ed German.
