Snow King Observatory and Planetarium is a planned astronomy facility on US Forest Service property at the 7,808-foot (2,380 m) summit of Snow King Mountain in Jackson, Wyoming. In January 2020, Bridger–Teton National Forest administrators released a draft environmental impact statement regarding the proposed facility. A Nevada–Wyoming amateur astronomer, Samuel Singer, created the nonprofit Wyoming Stargazing in 2014 to foster the project. Designer, Jakub Galczynski, joined Samuel Singer in 2015 to design and draft the Snow King Observatory.The planetarium would be co-housed with a restaurant, ski patrol, and other amenities in a 25,000-square-foot (2,300 m2) building at the summit. The observatory would be a separate 500-square-foot (46 m2) building.

Teton Science Schools (TSS) is an educational organization located in northwest Wyoming and Idaho. TSS runs programs in field education, classroom education, and educator development. Founded in 1967, TSS began through teaching about the natural world and the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem together through the study of nature and place-based education. Teton Science Schools serves students from across Wyoming, the Intermountain West, the nation and around the world. Teton Science Schools operate place-based programs for students, adults and families, wildlife expeditions, field science education programs, a graduate program in place-based field science education, education learning programs for teachers, and two independent schools.In 2015, the organization integrated the Murie Center, a nonprofit conservation organization located on the Murie Ranch in Moose, Wyoming.

Jackson is a town in Teton County, Wyoming, United States. The population was 10,760 at the 2020 census, up from 9,577 in 2010. It is the largest town in Teton County and its county seat. Jackson is the principal town of the Jackson, WY-ID Micropolitan Statistical Area, which includes Teton County in Wyoming and Teton County in Idaho. The town, often familiarly or mistakenly called Jackson Hole, derives its name from the valley in which it is located. Jackson is a popular tourist destination due to its proximity to the ski resorts Jackson Hole Mountain, Snow King Mountain, and Grand Targhee, as well as Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park.

Snow King Mountain is a summer and winter resort in the western United States, in Jackson, Wyoming. The mountain is Jackson's original 1936 ski hill, located on the southeast edge of the city, and was the first ski area in Wyoming. Locals sometimes refer to Snow King as "The Town Hill," and it offers skiing, hiking, an alpine slide, and many other attractions. The ski season runs from December to late March, and has a summer season that runs from June to October. Skiing is offered after the closure of lifts, until the snow is gone thanks to a boot pack trail on the west side of the resorts Runs. Hiking trails are offered all over the mountain.

Jackson-Wilson High School (JWHS) is the former name of Jackson Hole High School. The school was located near 222 South Glenwood Street, in Jackson, Wyoming. The school was named for the two most populated towns in Teton County, Wyoming: Wilson and Jackson. JWHS was then as it is today, Teton County's only public high school. (Alternative high school is available for at risk students. Students in Alta, Wyoming go to the Driggs, Idaho schools due to logistics).
