The Florence McClure Women's Correctional Center (FMWCC, originally the Southern Nevada Women's Correctional Facility) is a state prison for women in North Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. All custody levels (minimum, medium and maximum) are housed there. It is operated by the Nevada Department of Corrections (NDOC). It houses Nevada's female death row.

The CJ Cup was a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour. The tournament was played for the first time in October 2017 at the start of the 2017–18 season, and was sponsored by CJ Group. The first three editions were played at the Nine Bridges Golf Club on Jeju Island, South Korea. In 2020, the tournament was moved to Shadow Creek Golf Course in North Las Vegas, Nevada as part of a Las Vegas Swing in October due to COVID-19 pandemic travel restrictions. In 2021, plans to return to South Korea were abandoned with the tournament remaining in the Las Vegas area, but moving to The Summit Club in Summerlin. For 2022, the event was held at Congaree Golf Club in Gillisonville, South Carolina, near Hilton Head Island.

The property sits on 28 acres (11 ha), approximately six miles north of the Las Vegas Strip. Mike O'Callaghan Military Medical Center is an American military hospital owned and operated by the United States Air Force. It is located on Nellis Air Force Base in Clark County, Nevada and is run by the 99th Medical Group (MDG). Members of the 99th Medical Group run the 50-bed medical treatment facility. The Air Force provides executive oversight of the facility, staffs all outpatient activities/clinics and inpatient beds for Department of Defense (DoD) beneficiaries. Veterans Administration (VA) patients also have privileges at the hospital if referred by the VA. Fully integrated into the Clark County emergency medical services (EMS) system, Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center (MOMMC) is the only hospital and only trauma center in northeast Las Vegas. The level III trauma center is the first Air Force medical facility to treat civilian critical care and trauma patients arriving by ambulance.

The Nellis Solar Power Plant is a 14-megawatt (MW) photovoltaic power station located within Nellis Air Force Base in Clark County, Nevada, northeast of Las Vegas. The power plant was inaugurated in a ceremony on December 17, 2007, with Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons activating its full operation. On average, it has since generated 32 gigawatt-hours of electricity annually and supplied more than 25% of the power used at the base.Occupying 140 acres (57 ha) of land leased from the Air Force at the northeastern corner of the base, this ground-mounted solar system employs an advanced sun tracking system, designed and deployed by SunPower. The system contains approximately 70,000 solar panels, and the peak power generation capacity of the plant is approximately 13 MWAC. This means the ratio of average to peak output, or capacity factor, of this plant is around 22%. The energy generated will support more than 12,000 military and civilians at Nellis who are responsible for Air Force advanced combat training, tactics development and operational testing. Construction began on April 23, 2007, and operation of the first 5 MW began on October 12, 2007.

VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System is a Veterans Affairs hospital that opened on August 14, 2012 and is located at 6900 North Pecos Road in North Las Vegas, Nevada. This was the first newly constructed VA hospital to open since 1995 and cost $600 million.The facility will provide 90 beds, a 120-bed nursing home and an outpatient care center. Located on a 151-acre (61 ha) site and will contain over 1,000,000 square feet (93,000 m2) once it's fully functional.

Canyon Springs High School is a public high school in North Las Vegas, Nevada and is part of the Clark County School District. Canyon Springs is also home to the Leadership and Law Preparatory Academy and was one of three (including Del Sol High School and Spring Valley High School) schools opened by the district in 2004.

The Mountain View Solar Energy Project is a 20 MW solar photovoltaic power plant located in the Mountain View Industrial Park near North Las Vegas in Clark County, Nevada. All power generated by the nearly 84,000 modules is sold to NV Energy via a power purchase agreement. The plant is operated by Mountain View Solar, a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources
