Kočevska Reka

Livold (pronounced [ˈliːʋɔlt]; German: Lienfeld, Gottscheerish: Liəwold) is a village in the Kočevje Polje southeast of the town of Kočevje in southern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region. The village stretches along the road connecting Kočevje and Petrina, near the turn to Mozelj. It has a pronounced outline. The Rinža River flows through the village; it often goes dry in the summer but floods during heavy rains. There are many karst caves in the area. The Stojna Ridge and Dry Hill (Slovene: Suhi hrib) rise to the west, and the karstified Šahen lowland lies to the east.: 101

After the Second World War it also included Jelenja Vas (Slovene: Jelenja vas), formerly a separate village named Iskrba (German: Hirisgruben), which is now a hamlet of Štalcerji.

The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region.

Štalcerji (pronounced [ˈʃtaːlcɛɾji] or [ˈʃtaːu̯cɛɾji]; previously also Štalcarji, German: Stalzern) is a settlement in the hills south of the town of Kočevje in southern Slovenia. It was a village inhabited partly by Gottschee Germans. In 1941 at the start of the Second World War its original population was expelled. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region. It includes the hamlet of Jelenja Vas.The local church, dedicated to Saint Anthony of Padua, is mentioned in written documents dating to 1526. During the Second World War it was damaged and after the war the ruins were demolished and removed.

The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region. Its territory is now part of the village of Gotenica.

Mahovnik (pronounced [maˈxoːu̯nik]; in older sources also Mošvald; German: Mooswald, in older sources also Moschwald) is a settlement on the left bank of the Rinža River, immediately northwest of the town of Kočevje in southern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region.

The Battle of Grčarice was a battle fought in early September 1943 between the Slovene Partisans and the Blue Guard. The battle was waged in Grčarice in German-occupied Yugoslavia, modern-day Slovenia.
