Pleasants House

The Amelia Cottage Museum, sometimes referred to as Miss Amelia's Cottage & Roy Lester Carriage House, on Montauk Highway in Amagansett, New York, is operated by the Amagansett Historical Association as a museum of family life in Amagansett over three centuries. The house was built in 1725 for Catherine Schellinger and moved to its current location in 1794. The last known occupant, Mary Amelia Schellinger, was born in the house in 1841 and lived there until about a year before she died in 1930. Thirty Schellinger children are believed to have been born in this house.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

The Amagansett Mill Company (1829–1841) was an American company in Amagansett, New York. The windmill that it operated burned down in 1924.

Saint Thomas' Chapel is a historic Episcopal chapel located at Amagansett in the Town of East Hampton, Suffolk County, New York. It was built in 1907 as a summer use chapel without heating or plumbing. The predominant feature of the building is the steep gable roof that sweeps around the three-sided apse at the south end.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

The Amagansett National Wildlife Refuge, in Amagansett, New York, is located along the shore of the Atlantic Ocean on Long Island's south fork. The refuge is managed by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service as part of the Long Island National Wildlife Refuge Complex. Established December 16, 1968, the 36-acre (15 ha) refuge is of special significance in the protection and management of fragile shore habitat and wildlife. A major purpose of the refuge is the protection of the secondary dunes, which have become scarce on Long Island due to development. The double dune system encompasses marine sand beach, primary dunes, secondary dunes, swales, fens, cranberry bogs, and oak scrub. Many rare plants, including several orchids, occur on the refuge. Long-tailed ducks, white-winged scoter, common loon and horned grebe spend winter off the refuge shore, while shorebirds, songbirds and raptors are present during spring and fall. Merlin, Cooper's hawk, kestrel, sharp-shinned hawk, and peregrine falcon pass over the dunes during migration. Ipswich sparrow, rough-legged hawk, and short-eared owl spend winter at the refuge. In late spring and summer the beach hosts piping plover, and common and least terns (protected by the Endangered Species Act) as well as sandpiper and other shorebirds. The eastern hognose snake, a New York State designated species of special concern, can still be found on the refuge.

Amagansett is a census-designated place that roughly corresponds to the hamlet by the same name in the Town of East Hampton in Suffolk County, New York, United States, on the South Shore of Long Island. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP population was 1,165. Amagansett hamlet was founded in 1680.

Hayground Windmill is an historic windmill at Windmill Lane in East Hampton Village, New York. It was moved from Hayground to Pantigo between Two Mile Hollow Beach and Egypt Beach in the 1950s.

Lasata is an estate in East Hampton, New York, that was the childhood summer home of the then future First Lady of the United States Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis until she was about 12.

Green River Cemetery is a cemetery in the hamlet of Springs, New York within the Town of East Hampton. The cemetery was originally intended for the blue collar local families (called Bonackers) of the Springs neighborhood who supported the ocean mansions in East Hampton (village), New York. Families with long histories in the region are interred there, including the Millers, Kings, Bennetts, and Talmages. However, after Jackson Pollock was buried on a hill there in 1956, it became famous as the artists' and writers' cemetery. Headstones have become works of art. Despite its name, there are no rivers near the cemetery.

The Pantigo Road Historic District is a historic district in the Village of East Hampton, on Long Island, New York. It is located on a segment of New York State Route 27 named Pantigo Road, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 21, 1988.The Thomas Moran House, a National Historic Landmark, is included in the district. The district runs along NY 27 from the intersection of Accabonac Road and Egypt Lane(which has a historic district of its own south of this one) to Amy's Lane, west of a former town named Pantigo, which was between the East Hampton Village line and Amagansett, New York. Pantigo is home to Manhattan socialites during the summer months and is mainly sought after for its historic and exclusive homes. In recent years, Pantigo has emerged as the chicest town in the Hamptons. The district includes 43 contributing buildings, which, taken together illustrate the spectrum of architectural styles common in East Hampton from 1715 through 1920. These styles include Colonial, Federal, Queen Anne, shingle and Craftsman. The historically rural feel is maintained due to deep front lawns, large mature trees and surviving agricultural outbuildings.

The district includes six contributing buildings; three principal buildings and three outbuildings. The principal buildings are dwellings in the Colonial Revival, Federal, and Saltbox styles.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Stephen Sherrill House is a historic home located at East Hampton in Suffolk County, New York. It was built in 1857 and is a frame Greek Revival / Italianate residence. It is a two-story, gable front, side entrance residence with a three bay wide front facade. Also on the property is the former kitchen wing believed to date to 1802 and moved to its present location in 1927, and a wind pump tower.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
