Lancaster Cathedral, also known as The Cathedral Church of St Peter and Saint Peter's Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Lancaster, Lancashire, England. It was a Roman Catholic parish church until 1924, when it was elevated to the status of a cathedral. It started as a mission church in 1798, and the present church was built on a different site in 1857–59. It was designed by E. G. Paley in the Gothic Revival style and is a grade II* listed building. In 1901 a baptistry was added by Austin and Paley, and the east end was reordered in 1995 by Francis Roberts. The cathedral is in active use, arranging services, concerts and other events, and is open to visitors.

Lancaster Town Hall is a municipal building in Dalton Square, Lancaster, Lancashire, England. It is a Grade II* listed building.

St Walburga's Convent stands to the north of Balmoral Road, Lancaster, in Lancashire, England. It was built in 1851–53, and designed by the local architect E. G. Paley. The building is connected to the convent chapel of Lancaster Cathedral by an L-shaped corridor. It pre-dates the cathedral, and was the earliest structure to be built on the cathedral complex. The convent is constructed in sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings, and has a slate roof. Its architectural style is Gothic Revival. The building has an L-shaped plan and is in two storeys. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

The Queen Victoria Memorial in Lancaster, Lancashire, England, is a Grade II* listed building. It stands in the centre of Dalton Square, Lancaster facing Lancaster Town Hall. It was erected in 1906, being commissioned and paid for by James Williamson, 1st Baron Ashton.The monument was designed by Herbert Hampton (1862–1929) a prolific sculptor and stone carver who also designed the exterior of the Ashton Memorial in Lancaster

Lancaster Friary was a friary in Lancashire, England. The buildings were approximately where Dalton Square is found today. It was active between 1260 and 1539 . Nothing remains. Two archaeological trenches were dug in 1981 and 1994; they exposed some tiles and wall footings.

The first Lancaster railway station was the northern terminus of the Lancaster and Preston Junction Railway, located in the Greaves area of the city of Lancaster, Lancashire, England. It was open from 1840 to 1849, by which time it had been superseded by Lancaster Castle railway station. Some books refer to the station as "Lancaster (Greaves)" or "Lancaster (Penny Street)" to distinguish it from later stations in the city, although whilst open it was known simply as "Lancaster" as there was no other station of that name at the same time.

The Dukes is a theatre in Lancaster, England. It is the county's only producing theatre venue, and is an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation. As well as producing two theatre productions each year, it also hosts a varied programme of touring theatre, comedy, live music and dance. Greaves House, now known as Greaves Park, is a Grade II listed house in Lancaster, England, now a pub and restaurant, and is also the name of the surrounding public park. It was built in 1843 by the Reverend Samuel Simpson and was the residence of many notable people for the next century.

The Gregson Centre in Lancaster, England (previously known as the Gregson Institute) is an arts and community centre, music venue and Cafe-bar which has been awarded the Cask Marque. There is a micro-cinema and a lift enabling access to all public areas. It is one of the last medium-sized music venues in the area, and is owned by a charity, the Gregson Community Association Limited, and managed on a daily basis by the committed Gregson Centre Ltd company.
