At the west of the parish is the site of a Romano-British settlement.

In a 2007 Ofsted inspection, the Overall effectiveness of the school was rated as Grade 1 (Outstanding).At the Stoke Prior Halt railway station, Stoke Prior was served by the now closed Worcester, Bromyard and Leominster Railway.

Leominster was a parliamentary constituency represented until 1707 in the House of Commons of England, then until 1801 in that of Great Britain, and finally until 2010, when it disappeared in boundary changes, in the Parliament of the United Kingdom. From 1295 to 1885, Leominster was a parliamentary borough which until 1868 elected two Members of Parliament by the bloc vote system of election. Under the Reform Act 1867 its representation was reduced to one Member, elected by the first past the post system. The parliamentary borough was abolished under the Redistribution of Seats Act 1885, and the name was transferred to a new county constituency.

Risbury is a village in the civil parish of Humber in Herefordshire, England, and 4 miles (6 km) south-east of Leominster. There used to be a Methodist chapel, a post office and The Hop Pole public house in the village, but all three are now residential dwellings. At Risbury cross there is a bus shelter, however the accompanying red phone box was decommissioned in 2018 and moved to the village hall opposite to house a defibrillator. Risbury Camp, an Iron Age hill fort, is just outside the village on private farmland, although a public footpath runs nearby. There is a green burial ground, Humber Woodland of Remembrance, outside within the parish.

The River Arrow (Welsh: Afon Arwy) is a river in the Welsh Marches, rising in Powys in Wales, then flowing into the English county of Herefordshire. It rises near Gwaunceste Hill, then flows south-east through Newchuch and Michaelchurch-on-Arrow. It forms a short section of the England/Wales boundary, before flowing into Herefordshire, and through the town of Kington. It proceeds east through Herefordshire, passing Lyonshall, Staunton-on-Arrow, Pembridge, Eardisland, Arrow Green, Monkland, Ivington, Broadward, and has its confluence with the River Lugg south of Leominster, at Stoke Prior. Its tributaries include the Gilwern Brook. Others are the Honey Lake Brook, which passes through Ivington Green and Back Brook which joins the Arrow at The Meetings in Kington.

Ford Bridge railway station was a station in Marlbrook, Herefordshire, England. The station was opened in 1854 and closed in 1954. After closure, the station building was converted to a private house.

Eaton Hall is a two-storey building in Leominster in Herefordshire, 1 mile to the south-east of the village church. It was historically sited in the parish of Leominster Out. It was recorded in 1934 as being two-storey, with stone and timber-framed walls and slate and tile roofs. It is Grade II listed.It belonged to the Hackluyt family - John Leland states that William Hackluyt built a house in Leominster, though the existing building seems to date to the mid-1300s. It centred on a great hall with a timber-frame roof and cross-wings at both the east and west ends. Most of the hall survives, including a west solar wing in stone. At an unknown date the hall was divided into two storeys and stone-facings placed on the walls. The buttery wing was extended to the north, probably in the early 1400s and the buttery-wing and screens were later rebuilt, probably in the 18th century. An outbuilding still survived in 1934, formed of a barn and a 17th-century cottage converted into stables.

Marlbrook is an industrial and business park on the borders of and split between the civil parishes of Hope under Dinmore and Newton, in Herefordshire, England. The park is adjacent to the River Lugg and the A49 road, 4.5 miles (7 km) south of Leominster and 9.5 miles (15 km) north from Hereford. Just south of the park is the junction of the A49 with the A417 road towards Ledbury and Gloucester. The Cadbury factory at Marlbrook processes 180 million litres of fresh milk, 56,000 tonnes of sugar and 13,000 tonnes of cocoa liquor each year to produce milk chocolate crumb which is blended with cocoa butter, refined and turned into milk chocolate at other factories. On 23 June 2006, the factory was in the news when more than a million chocolate bars were to be removed from sale through fears that they might have been contaminated with salmonella by a leaking pipe.
