Mannofield Park

Mannofield is an affluent area of Aberdeen, Scotland. It is situated in the west end of the city and is accessible by travelling through the A93 Aberdeen–Perth road, the A90 Edinburgh to Fraserburgh road and the A96 (via the A90). Mannofield is also a short walking distance away from Aberdeen City Centre and has good road and bus links to the city and beyond. Much of Aberdeen's water is supplied by the water works/reservoir on St John's Terrace and the reservoir on Craigton Road.

It is notable for being situated in the city of Aberdeen itself yet containing an estate and gardens that are more commonly found in rural country houses. Friendville house is a category B listed building and the oldest residential property still in use in Aberdeen. It is one of Aberdeen's most valuable properties.

Rubislaw Playing Fields in Aberdeen, Scotland is an 18-acre (73,000 m2) sports field for Aberdeen Grammar School and for the Scottish Premiership rugby union team Aberdeen GSFP RFC. Of course other sports are played here such as Hockey – at National league Level by Aberdeen Grammar Hockey Club, football and cricket. The pavilion at the park was built as a war memorial to pupils from Aberdeen Grammar School who died in the first world war. An extension to the existing granite pavilion was opened in February 2009. A new Astroturf all-weather pitch has been completed which is used every day of the week.

Springbank Cemetery is located on Countesswells Road, Aberdeen. It opened in 1884. The cemetery is operated by the local authority, Aberdeen City Council, is one of seventeen cemeteries in Aberdeen. It is located on Countesswells Road with entrances on both Countesswells Road and Springfield Road where the cemetery lodge is situated. According to Historic Environment Scotland, at the south-west corner of the cemetery there formerly stood Springbank Cottage.

Ruthrieston railway station or Ruthrieston Halt was opened in January 1856 by the GNSR and served Ruthrieston, now a suburb of Aberdeen. The halt was one of several victims of the 1937 closure of stations on the Aberdeen suburban service. The Deeside Railway itself eventually ran from Aberdeen (Joint) to Ballater. The Gordon Highlanders Museum is based in Aberdeen, Scotland and celebrates the story of the Gordon Highlanders regiment, which originated as the 92nd (Gordon Highlanders) Regiment of Foot in 1794, merged with the 75th (Stirlingshire) Regiment of Foot to form the Gordon Highlanders in 1881 and was then amalgamated into a new larger unit of the British Army in 1994. It is a 5-star Scottish Tourist Board attraction.
