Schwenningdorf

The Nordbach is a 1.7 kilometre long, left tributary of the Große Aue in East Westphalian Rödinghausen in the district of Herford in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia The Nordbach stream rises at a height of 120 m above sea level (NN) in Schwenningdorf. It discharges into the Große Aue, or Neuer Mühlenbach as it is known in its upper reaches, at a point 82.7 kilometres up the Aue from its mouth. Their confluence is at 91 m above NN and the stream descends a total of 29 metres.

The Nonnenstein is a hill, 274 m above sea level (NHN), in the Wiehen Hills north of Rödinghausen, Germany. The Nonnenstein is also known in older literature as the Rödinghauser Berg.

The Maschberg is a hill, 190.2 m above sea level (NN), in the Wiehen Hills and on the boundary between the village of Rödinghausen and the town of Preußisch Oldendorf. The Maschberg is the highest point in the Rödinghausen parish of Schwenningdorf. The Maschberg, like almost all the hills in the Wiehen, has an elongated crest or Egge and is only separated to the hills to the west by dören. As a result, the hill is only perceived as a prominent summit. A long distance path, the Wittekindsweg, runs over the summit. To the west the Wiehen Hills climb again to the Nonnenstein. To the east the range descends into the water gap of the Große Aue to a height of 80 m above NN. Southwest of the summit rises the stream of Wehmerhorster Bach. The name "Maschberg" refers to the Börninghausen village of Masch (also Mesch), which lies northeast of the hill in the valley of Eggetal.

The Klosterbach is a right-hand tributary of the Große Aue, which is known as the Neuer Mühlenbach at the point where they join, in north Germany. The Klosterbach lies entirely within the parish of Rödinghausen in the district of Herford, North Rhine-Westphalia. The Klosterbach emerges north of Bieren near the Donoer Berg on the southern edge of the Wiehen Hills at a height of 152 m above sea level (NN). The stream discharges into the Große Aue after 1.6 kilometres at a height of 94 m above NN at river kilometre 82.9 on the Aue. The Klosterbach descends a height of 58 metres.

Preußisch Oldendorf (German: [ˈpʁɔʏsɪʃ ˈʔɔldn̩dɔʁf] ) is a town in the Minden-Lübbecke district, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. In 1905 the town name Oldendorf was changed officially by putting "Preußisch" in front of it, to make the distinction from other towns with the same name more easy (especially for mail and train stations).
