Wachusett station

WJXP (90.1 FM) was a radio station licensed to serve Fitchburg, Massachusetts. The station was owned by Epic Light Network, Inc. It began broadcasting in 2011, and was owned by Horizon Christian Fellowship, airing a Christian format as an affiliate of RenewFM. On February 19, 2019, the station went silent. The station again went silent on February 24, 2020, for technical reasons. Effective November 24, 2020, the station was sold to Epic Light Network, Inc.WJXP's license was cancelled on April 1, 2022, for failing to file a renewal application.

Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School, also known as Monty Tech, is a grade 9 (age 14–15) to grade 12 (age 17–18) public, secondary, vocational, open enrollment school in Fitchburg and Westminster, Massachusetts, United States. It provides training in 21 different trades and is the second largest vocational-technical school in Massachusetts.The school is operated by the Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School District, consisting of 18 towns, mainly in Worcester County. The school includes a childcare center, a restaurant, and a veterinary clinic. It also includes a performing arts center named after former Superintendent-Director Stratos G. Dukakis.

The Whitman River is an 8.4-mile-long (13.5 km) river in Massachusetts that flows through Ashburnham, Westminster and Fitchburg. It arises from Lake Wampanoag in Ashburnham, travels through a couple of ponds in Westminster, and ultimately joins Phillips Brook in Fitchburg to form the North Nashua River.

The Ezra Wood–Levi Warner Place is an historic house at 165 Depot Road in Westminster, Massachusetts. The oldest portion of the house, now an ell attached to the rear of the main block, was built in 1759 by Nathaniel Merrill, and is one of the town's oldest surviving structures. The house has served as a hotel, stagecoach stop, post office, and as a stop on the Underground Railroad. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Leominster State Forest is a publicly owned forest with recreational features covering 4,246 acres (1,718 ha) in the Massachusetts towns of Leominster, Fitchburg, Princeton, Sterling, and Westminster. The state forest encompasses an extensive trail system, numerous small ponds, and the Crow Hills. Plants such as mountain laurel are common as is an abundance of wildlife. The forest is headquarters for Massachusetts Bureau of Forest Fire Control District 8 and is managed by the Department of Conservation and Recreation.

The Parkhill Mill is an historic mill complex at 1 Oak Hill Road in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Built between 1885 and 1915, it was one of three mill complexes of the Parkill Company, one of the city's largest employers of the period. The mill complex was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008. The complex has been restored and is used by a variety of public and private businesses, and as residential space.

WFGL (960 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Christian radio format and licensed to Fitchburg, Massachusetts, United States. The station is owned by Horizon Christian Fellowship of Fitchburg, and operates as part of its RenewFM network.

The Montachusett Region (also known as North County) is a region comprising several cities and towns in the north-central area of Massachusetts surrounding Fitchburg. As it has no legal standing in state government, definitions of the region vary. The terms, which are used interchangeably, are usually understood to refer to the area economically tied with the cities of Gardner, Fitchburg and Leominster. The "North County" label—the county referred to is Worcester County—is often used to emphasize the area's distance and separate political identity from the county seat at Worcester. The region is sometimes defined as including Fitchburg suburbs in the northwestern corner of Middlesex County, Massachusetts. The region's leading daily newspaper, the Sentinel & Enterprise, is published in Fitchburg. Another, the Telegram & Gazette of Worcester, publishes a "North County" daily edition and Montachusett T&G semiweekly insert, both of which cover most of the areas usually considered parts of the North County and Montachusett regions. WPKZ (1280 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a news–talk and sports format and licensed to Fitchburg, Massachusetts, United States. The station is owned by John Morrison through licensee K-Zone Media Group, LLC, and features programming from Fox News Radio, Fox Sports Radio, Compass Media Networks, Premiere Networks, Radio America, and Westwood One. WPKZ's studios are located on Water Street in Fitchburg, across the street from the Wachusett Potato Chip Company factory; its transmitter is located on Alpine Road, also in Fitchburg.

The Fitchburg Yarn Mill is an historic mill building at 1428 Main Street in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Built in 1907 and enlarged several times, it was one of the city's largest textile operations for over 60 years. The building is an important local work of Frank Sheldon, a noted industrial architect of the period. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

WXLO (104.5 FM; "104.5 XLO") is a hot adult contemporary radio station owned by Cumulus Media, licensed to Fitchburg, Massachusetts, and serving the Worcester and Boston markets. The station broadcasts on the FM band on a frequency of 104.5 MHz. The studio is located in downtown Worcester, and its transmission tower is located in the Leominster State Forest in Leominster.
