Santi Simone e Giuda (Saints Simon and Jude) is a church in Florence, situated on the Piazza San Simone in an area of narrow streets between the Piazza Santa Croce and the Piazza della Signoria. The present structure dates from 1243 but underwent a major renovation designed by Gherardo Silvani in 1630. Today it is affiliated with the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.

The Oratory of San Niccolò del Ceppo is a Roman Catholic prayer hall located on via de' Pandolfini in Florence, region of Tuscany, Italy. The oratory was established by the 13th-century Company of San Niccolò del Ceppo. The appellation ceppo derives from some tradition of putting an offering through a slot in a hollow tube. The religious company gained possession of this hall in 1561. The refurbishment continued until 1734. The main altar has a fresco (1610) by Francesco Curradi, with flanking canvases by Giovanni Antonio Sogliani depict the Visitation. Previously a Crucifixion with Saints Nicola and Francis (circa 1430) painted by Fra Angelico stood here, but now in sacristy. Other frescoes are by Pieter de Witte and Giuseppe Servolini. The ceiling is frescoed with theLife of St Niccolò (1734) by Giovanni Domenico Ferretti.

Enoteca Pinchiorri is an Italian restaurant in Florence, Italy. The owners are Giorgio Pinchiorri and French-born Annie Féolde. The chefs are Annie Féolde, Italo Bassi and Riccardo Monco. In 2008, the restaurant was voted 32nd best in the world by the British Restaurant magazine. Since 1984, the restaurant has been a recipient of the Wine Spectator Grand Award. It has been awarded three stars by the Michelin Guide in 1993 and 1994 and perennially since 2004.

Palazzo dell'Antella (also Palazzo Atellesi) is a palace with a frescoed façade located on Piazza Santa Croce, Florence, region of Tuscany, Italy.

The Roman Amphitheatre of Florence was an Roman amphitheatre in Florence, central Italy. It was located between Piazza dei Peruzzi, Via De' Bentaccordi and Via Torta; its remains are visible in Via De' Bentaccordi. When it was built between 124 and 130 AD, it was located outwith the walls of Florentia and it marked the point of maximum expansion east. It had an elliptical shape with a diameter of 126 meters, with a capacity of about 20,000 seats (compared to 87,000 in the Flavian Amphitheatre in Rome. It was incorporated into other buildings during the medieval period. It has not been systematically excavated, but occasional discoveries have been made, such as in 1887. In the second half of the 19th century, the area was at risk of being demolished during the work of the so-called Rehabilitation of Florence, to build a grand avenue between the Piazza della Signoria and Piazza Santa Croce, but the plan was never realized. A reconstruction of the amphitheatre in the Roman era and some related works are located in the Museo di Firenze com'era.

The Palazzo degli Alessandri is an early-Renaissance-style palace located on Borgo degli Albizi number 15 in Florence, Region of Tuscany, Italy. The Alessandri family derived from a branch of the Albizzi family; documents for the foundation of this branch date from 1372. The two brother Alessandro and Bartolomeo degli Albizi (after 1372 called 'degli Alessandri') built the palace after the purchasing of three lots between 1368-72 and probably completed by 1376. During the Ciompi rebellion of 1378 the palace was ransacked and arson, the west side of the structure collapsed (the lack of rustication is still visible today). The Alessandri (and Albizzi) had been prominent Guelf families linked to the wool production, and thus the Guild of Wool. The coat of arms of the Alessandri was a two heads lamb on a blue field with a gold crown and palm leaves. The family produced twenty-three Priors and nine Gonfaloniers. The palace was enlarged in the 1700s by Cosimo Alessandri. The palace was restored in the 19th century by Giuseppe Poggi. Antonio Canova was patronized by the Alessandri family. The Palace is still owned by descendants of the Alessandri.

The Statue of Dante Alighieri (Italian: Monumento a Dante Alighieri) is a monument to Dante Alighieri in Piazza Santa Croce, outside the Basilica of Santa Croce, in Florence, Italy. Erected in 1865, it is the work of the sculptor Enrico Pazzi.
