Kinbuck

Kinbuck railway station served the hamlet of Kinbuck, Stirlingshire, Scotland from 1848 to 1956 on the Scottish Central Railway.

Ashfield (Scottish Gaelic: Achadh an Uinnsinn) is a small village in the Registration county of Perth and the local government district of Stirling, Scotland. It lies between the Allan Water and the Stirling-Perth Railway line. It is two miles north of Dunblane, and was designated a conservation village in 1976. It was originally built to house workers at a nearby silk-dyeing mill. Prior to this, a mill, Millash or Mill of Ash, existed, as did an extensive house or farm. Ashfield has four residential streets (Ochilview, Allanview, The Steading and The Cottages), a residential block (The Clachan) and also a square, named after the former prime minister William Gladstone, called Gladstone Square. There are various annual activities based in the village hall such as a Blues festival, a Food festival and a Music festival.

Cromlix is a five star country house hotel near Kinbuck, Stirlingshire, Scotland. It was constructed as a Victorian mansion, then first operated as a hotel from the early 1980 to 2012 when it closed suddenly. It was bought by tennis player Andy Murray and the hotel re-opened in April 2014, being managed by ICMI management group until December 2022. The hotel was brought back into self-management from January 2023 and was totally refurbished, with upgrades to all bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas of the hotel.

Glenbank was the site of a Roman fortlet associated with the Gask Ridge in Scotland. It was discovered from aerial photography by G. S. Maxwell in 1983. It was confirmed by geophysics and excavations which were carried out in 1984 and 1999. It is beside the Roman road that linked the forts at Ardoch and Doune. It is currently the most southerly of the known Gask fortifications. It was probably built around 70-80 AD. Several other Gask installations have been identified running north to Bertha.The site is south of the Allan Water close to the A9 road. It seems to have been deliberately demolished by the Romans when they abandoned it.

The Diocese of Dunblane or Diocese of Strathearn was one of the thirteen historical dioceses of Scotland, before the abolition of episcopacy in the Scottish Church in 1689. Roughly, it embraced the territories covered by the old earldoms of Strathearn and Menteith, covering the western and central portions of Perthshire.The first record of its existence is a papal bull from 1155 referring to M. de Dunblan. By the episcopate of Bishop Clement, the cathedral was firmly located in Dunblane, Strathearn, Perth and Kinross. The diocese was led by the Bishop of Dunblane.

St Mary's Episcopal Church is a medium-sized church of the Scottish Episcopal Church in Dunblane, Scotland. It is situated by the Fourways roundabout. St Mary's church was consecrated by Patrick Torry, the Bishop of St Andrews, Dunkeld and Dunblane in 1845. It was listed as Category B in 1971.Rev Nerys Brown has succeeded the Rev Nick Green, who succeeded Rev Kimberly Bohan, Canon Janice Cameron, Canon Gianfranco Tellini, Canon John Symon, and many others back to Canon Henry Malcolm, the first Rector of 50 years from 1845. The church grounds consists of a graveyard, the manse, a medium-sized church hall with kitchen and committee room. A quiet garden will be open to members of the public in early 2014.

St Blane's is a Church of Scotland church located in Dunblane, Scotland. The evangelical congregation is within the Church of Scotland's Presbytery of Stirling. The Gothic Revival church building opened in 1854 as the Free Church and is now a category B listed building.

Dunblane Museum is a historic building in the Scottish town of Dunblane, Stirling. Located in The Cross, immediately to the south of Dunblane Cathedral, it is a Category A listed building dating to the early 17th century.A former townhouse, the building was enlarged in 1765. In 1943, the museum was established to exhibit items from the Dunblane Cathedral, which dates back to the 11th century. The museum's collections have been expanded over the years to include items related to Dunblane's history.The original sections fronting onto The Cross are thought to have been constructed by James Pearson, who was dean of the cathedral in 1624, for the initials and the coat-of-arms on the carved plaque are his. The first floor of the main block was likely his townhouse. The Kirk Street section is believed to have originally been constructed as separate cottages. It is not known when the two structures were combined.

Dunblane Cathedral is the larger of the two Church of Scotland parish churches serving Dunblane, near the city of Stirling, in central Scotland. The lower half of the tower is pre-Romanesque from the 11th century, and was originally free-standing, with an upper part added in the 15th century. Most of the rest of the building is Gothic, from the 13th century. The building was restored by Robert Rowand Anderson from 1889 to 1893.

St Clement's Cottage is a building in the Scottish town of Dunblane, Stirling. Located in The Cross, immediately to the south of Dunblane Cathedral, it is a Category B listed structure dating to the mid-19th century. It adjoins Cathedral Cottage, on its northern side, also of Category B listed status.

The Leighton Library, or Bibliotheca Leightoniana, in The Cross, Dunblane, is the oldest purpose-built library in Scotland and also has a well-documented history as one of the earliest public-subscription libraries in Scotland. Its collection of around 4,000 volumes and 78 manuscripts from the 16th to 19th century is founded on the personal collection of Robert Leighton (1611–1684), Minister at Newbattle, Principal of Edinburgh University, Bishop of Dunblane and Archbishop of Glasgow. Robert Leighton's personal collection consisted of 1,400 books and the Leighton Library was built to host the books which had been left to Dunblane Cathedral.
