The Brooks-Hughes House is a historic house in Phenix City, Alabama, U.S.. It was built from 1897 to 1904 as a cottage for W. T. Hall. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since November 3, 1983.

Girard, Alabama was a city in the far north-east corner of Russell County, Alabama across the Chattahoochee River from Columbus, Georgia. Named after the Philadelphia-based banker and philanthropist Stephen Girard, who had purchased much of the Muscogee territory that would become Russell County, the town of Girard served as the county's first seat from 1832 to 1839. It was incorporated around 1833. In 1923 Girard merged with Phenix City, Alabama. In 1933, the boundary of Russell County was moved north to take in all of Phenix City that had previously been in Lee County.Albert C. Baker, who was the only person to serve on the Arizona Territorial Supreme Court and the Arizona Supreme Court, was from Girard.

The Shapre-Monte House is a historic house in Phenix City, Alabama, U.S.. It was built circa 1890 by the Sharpe brothers. It was later purchased by Jacob G. Monte, a tailor from the Netherlands, and it remained in the Monte family until 1968. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since November 3, 1983.

The Old Girard High School was a historic building in Phenix City, Alabama. It was built in 1909 on the site of Girard's first school dating from 1867. At first it housed only an elementary school, but expanded in 1923 to include a high school. The school closed in 1970 and was merged into Central High School. The building was a two-story Neoclassical structure built of brick. The façade had a central, gabled three-bay projection with entrances on each side. Windows were two-over-two double-hung sashes. A rear wing was added around 1950. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 and was demolished in 1994.

The Morgan-Curtis House is a historic house in Phenix City, Alabama, U.S.. It was built in 1914 for Dr. David Elias Morgan, a Welsh-born physician. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since November 3, 1983.

The Upper Twentieth Street Residential Historic District is a historic district in Phenix City, Alabama. The land was acquired in 1880 by Scottish mill worker and merchant John Baird from his father-in-law, S. M. Ingersoll. Baird gave his daughters two lots, and each built a house on them. Merchant M. E. Edwards also built a house in the 1900s. The lots were eventually subdivided and sold, and the three cottages were joined by shotgun houses and bungalows. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Kid Alley Residential Historic District is a historic district in Phenix City, Alabama. Located in the Girard section of the city, Kid Alley was developed in 1895 as a middle-class neighborhood of Victorian rental houses. Of the original 12 houses, seven remain, ranging from shotguns to large cottages, all with elaborate scrollwork. The area gained its name from the large amount of children in the neighborhood's young families. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Golden Park is a 3,500-seat baseball stadium in Columbus, Georgia, United States, that opened in 1926 and has undergone many rebuilds and repairs. Baseball has been played near Golden Park since 1909, but in 1926, the current location has been used. In 1951, the park was significantly rebuilt, then in 1995 for the 96' Olympics. The park was damaged in 2006 causing part of the outfield wall to collapse and then strong winds (tornado) hit the stadium in 2012 and knocked the light stands off the roof, causing more damage. Located on the Chattahoochee River in Downtown Columbus, it is currently home to the Columbus Chatt-a-Hoots as of 2021 and new in 2023 the Chattahoochee Monsters, a team relocated from Oxford, AL. The exterior of the Golden Park is a red brick façade and has many well-landscaped sidewalks that connect to the Chattahoochee RiverWalk.Golden Park is named after Theodore Earnest Golden SR, co-founder of Goldens' Foundry and Machine Co. Golden led the effort in Columbus for the city's first South Atlantic League team. Golden Park was renovated in 1994 in anticipation of the softball events of the 1996 Summer Olympics that were held in the city of Columbus. In 2013, Golden Park was the home of the Beep Baseball World Series Championship game. The Taiwan Homerun Team beat the Austin Blackhawks by a score of 5-2. It also was the home field of the Columbus Catfish from 2003-2008. In June 2021, the park opened back up with the home team being the Columbus Chatt-a-Hoots of the Sunbelt Baseball League. In 2024, the Mississippi Braves announced that they would be moving to Columbus after the conclusion of their 2024 season. With the announcement of the relocation, Columbus Council members voted and approved the lease for the team to use Golden Park.

The Octagon House, also known as May's Folly, is a historic octagon house at 527 1st Avenue in Columbus, Georgia. Built about 1830 and enlarged in 1863, it is claimed by the local historical society to be the nation's only known example of a double-octagon house. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1973.

WCGQ (107.3 FM, "Q107-3") is a radio station broadcasting a Top 40 (CHR) music format. WCGQ is licensed to serve the community of Columbus, Georgia, United States. Its studios are co-located with four other sister stations on Wynnton Road in Columbus east of downtown, and its transmitter is located in Phenix City, Alabama.

The Snow Valley Residential Historic District is a historic district in Phenix City, Alabama. Located in the Girard section of the city, the land was originally owned by Bavarian immigrant farmer Henry C. Herman. Herman sold all but 2 acres (0.81 ha) of the land in 1883. With further subdivisions of the land through the 1910s, a total of twelve houses were built, ranging from shotgun houses to larger cottages, most in either Greek Revival or Victorian style. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Columbus Civic Center is a 10,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Columbus, Georgia, built in 1996.
