Lotus Gardens is a small suburb situated next to Atteridgeville in the west of Pretoria. Lotus Gardens, initially referred to as "Dairy Farm", was planned as an Indian township by the apartheid government, under the Group Areas Act, in order to relieve housing pressure in Laudium, and the first cohort of Indian residents moved in during the early 1990s, with children initially bused to schools in Laudium. However, by this time, segregated housing had been abolished, and Lotus Gardens became a mixed community, and by 2011, it had a population that was 80% black African. The township is separated from Atteridgeville by the N4 Magalies Freeway. The two townships share a police station which is situated in Atteridgeville. Atteridgeville is a township located to the west of Pretoria, South Africa. It is located to the east of Saulsville, to the west of West Park; to the north of Laudium and to the south of Lotus Gardens. The settlement was established in 1939, and is named after Mrs MP Atteridge, chairwoman of the Committee for Non-European Affairs on the Pretoria City Council at the time. The Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium is located in Atteridgeville.

Lucas "Masterpieces" Moripe Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium having a capacity of 28,900 and is located in Atteridgeville, a township of Pretoria, South Africa. It is currently used mostly for football matches and serves as part-time home stadium of Premier Soccer League club Supersport United. The stadium was named after former local soccer player Lucas Moripe. Until 2010 the stadium was known as Super Stadium. The Germany national football team used it as a training venue during the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Laudium () is an Indian township (apartheid classification) in southwest of central Pretoria, in the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality. Claudius is a residential suburb that is effectively an extension of Laudium.

Erasmia is a suburb in the northern outskirts of Centurion in the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality. Originally a whites-only area under apartheid, increasing numbers of Indians from neighbouring Laudium moved in, following the abolition of segregation in the early 1990s, and the construction of a direct link road between the two areas. Erasmia lies west of the R55 route. In 2001, 65.72% of the population was Indian, and by 2011, Indians made up 77.03% of the population. The area called Christoburg is for census and other purposes usually treated as part of Erasmia.
