East Troy, Wisconsin

East Troy is a town in Walworth County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 3,392 as of the 2020 census. The unincorporated communities of Hilburn, Lake Beulah, and Potter Lake are located in the town, as was the ghost town of Army Lake. East Troy is also home to several summer camps.

Sheboygan Light, Power and Railway Company Car #26 is a wooden interurban electric rail car built in 1908 that carried passengers on the line between Sheboygan and Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin for 30 years, until the spread of automobiles made passenger rail service non-viable. Today, the car is operated by the East Troy Railroad Museum on their East Troy Electric Railroad, carrying visitors on their track in East Troy.

B'nai B'rith Beber Camp is a 340-acre campground in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. Formerly known as Burr Oaks prior to B'nai B'rith's acquisition on 17 May 1976, it was named in honor of Sam Beber, the founder of Aleph Zadik Aleph, in August of that year as B'nai B'rith Beber Camp.

Alpine Valley Music Theatre is a 37,000-capacity amphitheater located on County Highway D in East Troy, Wisconsin. The seasonal venue was built in 1977 and it features a characteristic wooden roof, covering the 7,500-seat pavilion and a sprawling lawn. It was the largest amphitheater in the United States until 1993, when the Glen Helen Pavilion (now known as the Glen Helen Amphitheater) was built in California.The theatre is located roughly equally distant from Madison, Milwaukee, Rockford, and Chicago, and therefore draws a wide regional audience. The amphitheater was purchased by Nederlander Concerts in 1993, and later acquired by SFX (now Live Nation) in 1999. In 2019 the venue was sold to Consolidated-Tomoka Land Company for $7.5M with Live Nation retaining its lease.
