The Manchester Street Bridge is a camelback steel truss bridge in Baraboo, Wisconsin in Sauk County. The bridge was constructed in 1884 by the Milwaukee Bridge & Iron Works to carry Manchester Street over the Baraboo River. It replaced an earlier bridge that was lost to a flood; the first bridge was likely built after 1877 based on maps from the period. The bridge is 128 feet (39 m) long and 14 feet 2 inches (4.32 m) wide. It is one of two camelback truss bridges remaining in Wisconsin and the only one from the 19th century. In 1987 it was moved to Ochsner Park where it was placed on new abutments while still spanning the Baraboo River as pedestrian bridge. The bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 13, 1988.

West Baraboo is a village along the Baraboo River in Sauk County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,627 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Baraboo micropolitan statistical area. West Baraboo was previously known as Lyons.

The Jacob van Orden House is a historic house at 531 4th Avenue in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Jacob Van Orden, the president of the Bank of Baraboo, had the house constructed for his family in 1903. Milwaukee architectural firm Ferry & Clas designed the Tudor Revival house, which was built by George and Carl Isenberg of Baraboo. The three-story house has a red brick first floor and a stucco exterior with half-timbering on the upper floors. Its design also includes a front porch with a second-story balcony, bay windows on the front facade, and a roof with eight gables, all with bargeboard trim and wide eaves. The Van Orden family lived in the house until 1938; the Sauk County Historical Museum moved into the house the following year.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 6, 1996.

Baraboo High School is a high school in Baraboo, Wisconsin, and is a part of the Baraboo School District. It serves more than 900 students in grades 9–12 from Baraboo, West Baraboo, North Freedom, and a portion of Lake Delton. The school's colors are blue and gold.

The University of Wisconsin–Platteville Baraboo Sauk County is a two-year branch campus of the University of Wisconsin–Platteville, located in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Founded in 1968, it was known as University of Wisconsin–Baraboo/Sauk County and was a part of the University of Wisconsin Colleges. It joined UW-Platteville in 2018 as a branch campus following dissolution of the UW-Colleges program. The University offers 5 associate degrees and 1 bachelor's degree. The 68-acre (28 ha) campus overlooks the Baraboo bluffs and is intersected by the Ice Age Trail. The college had an enrollment of 216 undergraduates in 2021, down from a maximum of 758 students in 2000.

The Baraboo Public Library, also known as the Carnegie-Schadde Memorial Public Library, is the public library serving Baraboo, Wisconsin. Located at 230 4th Avenue, the Carnegie library was built in 1903. It was one of the first small-scale Carnegie libraries in Wisconsin. Architects Claude and Starck of Madison designed the Neoclassical building; the firm designed 39 libraries in the early twentieth century, many of which were funded by Carnegie, and the Baraboo library was one of their first works. The library's design features a projecting entrance portico flanked by Ionic columns and topped with a pediment and a dentillated entablature along the bottom of the tiled hip roof.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 14, 1981. The library is still in use and was expanded in 2021 using funds donated by local business owner Juanita Schadde.

Pewit's Nest State Natural Area is a nature reserve in Wisconsin, USA, that includes a deep gorge formed during the retreat of the last glacier. Pewit's Nest is outside Baraboo in Sauk County. At one time a waterwheel and mill were located on the site and an individual lived in the solid sandstone. The name of the site was a result of early settlers calling it "Peewit's Nest" after the abode, ten feet above a deep pool of water, resembling the nest of a phoebe (or peewit, an earlier name for this bird). The water-wheel once turned lathes for repairing or manufacturing equipment, but no evidence of it remains. Pewit's Nest is owned by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and was designated a State Natural Area in 1985.

Point of Rocks is a geologically significant outcropping located along U.S. Route 12 (US 12) in the Town of Baraboo in Sauk County, Wisconsin, United States, southwest of the city of Baraboo. The formation is made up of Baraboo Quartzite and is part of the Baraboo Range; it dates from the Precambrian and is roughly 1.7 billion years old. Along with the nearby Van Hise Rock, the formation was instrumental in the University of Wisconsin–Madison's development of the field of geology in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The formation is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Downtown Baraboo Historic District is a national historic district in downtown Baraboo, Wisconsin. The district encompasses 78 contributing buildings, most of which are commercial buildings centered around the Sauk County Courthouse square. Development in the district began in the 1840s; at the time, the courthouse district was considered the wealthy part of Baraboo by comparison to the more industrial areas by the Baraboo River and the railroad. The oldest contributing buildings in the district date to the 1870s, when economic growth in Baraboo and a series of fires that destroyed older buildings spurred extensive construction in the courthouse district. New buildings continued to be built in the district through the mid-twentieth century, with the latest contributing building being the 1966 Baraboo City Hall. The district includes examples of most popular architectural styles of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, including Italianate, Romanesque Revival, Neoclassical, Colonial Revival and other revival styles, Beaux-Arts, Prairie School, Modernist, and vernacular commercial styles.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 8, 2015. Three buildings in the district are listed individually on the National Register: the Sauk County Courthouse, the Al. Ringling Theatre, and the Gust Brothers' Store.

Baraboo station, otherwise known as the Baraboo Chicago & North Western Depot and Division Offices is a former railway station in Baraboo, Wisconsin, built be the Chicago and North Western Railway (C&NW). The depot served both passengers and freight traffic as well as housing the Madison Division offices of the C&NW. The Madison Division covered a 219-mile (352 km) line from Belvidere, Illinois to Medary, Wisconsin. The depot was designed by the team of Frost and Granger, who designed more than 200 depots for the C&NW. This particular depot was built in the Romanesque Revival style. Passenger service to the depot ended in 1963 with the elimination of the Rochester 400. As of 2022, the Sauk County Historical Society hopes to restore the depot into a museum and community gathering space.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 25, 2022.

The Al. Ringling Theatre in Baraboo, Wisconsin, United States, opened its doors in November 1915 and has been operating continuously ever since. Designed by the architectural firm Rapp and Rapp, it was built by Albert Ringling, one of the circus Ringling Brothers, for $100,000. Over the years, it has featured performances from vaudeville and silent movies to grand opera starring such notables as Lionel Barrymore and Mary Pickford. The design of the theater is based on the Orpheum Theatre, built by Rapp and Rapp in Champaign, Illinois in 1914. The decor of the auditorium is said to have derived from Ange-Jacques Gabriel's opera house of 1763-1770 in the Palace of Versailles but some believe it to be at least equally based on Victor Louis's 1780 Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux. Originally the theater had a Style 1 Wurlitzer theater pipe organ. Later a 9 rank, 3 manual Barton with a "circus wagon" style console replaced the Wurlitzer. The Al Ringling Theater was featured in an episode of PBS's History Detectives, where they investigated whether it was the country's first great movie palace.

The Charles and Anna Ruhland House is a historic house at 213 Lynn Street in Baraboo, Wisconsin. The house was built in 1909 for Charles Ruhland, owner of the Ruhland Brewing Company, and his wife Anna. It has an American Craftsman design, a style popularized in the early twentieth century which emphasized simplicity and harmony with nature; the architect who designed the house is unknown. The two-and-a-half story brick house features a wide front porch supported by wooden posts, exposed rafter tails at the edges of the roof, and a hip roof with gabled dormers. The interior has an open plan with large windows to let in natural light. While Charles Ruhland lost his brewery to bankruptcy in 1918, he and his family lived in the house until the late 1930s, when one of his former employees converted it to a boarding house.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 20, 2017.
