Palmyra Municipal Airport (FAA LID: 88C) is a public use airport in Jefferson County, Wisconsin, United States. Owned by and located in the Town of Palmyra, it is also known as Palmyra Airport. It is included in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2021–2025, in which it is categorized as a local general aviation facility.

The Palmyra Boy Scout Cabin is a log cabin at 105 N. 1st Street in Palmyra, Wisconsin. Palmyra's Boy Scout Troop 14 built the cabin from 1935 to 1937. At the time, building a troop cabin was a popular activity for Boy Scouts and encouraged by the national organization; the Boy Scout Handbook included instructions on how to build a cabin, and Boys Life magazine featured completed cabins. Scouts and their fathers built the cabin; the Palmyra cabin took two years to complete on account of the Great Depression, which limited the troop's funds for building supplies, and many of the cabin's materials were donated. The one-room cabin measures 22 by 32 feet (6.7 by 9.8 m) and uses saddle notch corners, which are designed to tighten over time as the building settles. The Boy Scouts have used the cabin continuously since it was built, and the cabin was renovated in the 2000s.The cabin was added to the State and the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.

The Southern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest includes more than 22,000 acres of land throughout southern Wisconsin and spans several state parks and natural areas. The area also features varied environments from restored prairie, forests, and lakes, along with providing a multitude of recreational opportunities such as hiking, birdwatching, fishing, camping, and hunting. The Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive also extends within this region as well as through a larger portion of the state.This section of the state forest has campgrounds at some of the larger nature reserves like Whitewater Lake, Ottawa Lake, and Pinewoods. There are also several horse-accessible campsites for trail riding. Some more well-known trails throughout the Southern Unit are the Ice Age Trail, Scuppernong Trails, John Muir Trails, and Emma Carlin Trails. These pass within the Kettle Moraine's state natural areas and some even connect different state parks or other trails throughout Wisconsin to one another. Some of these trails provide opportunities for more primitive camping within designated sections along them.

The Scuppernong River is a tributary of the Bark River, 18.9 miles (30.4 km) long, in southeastern Wisconsin in the United States. Via the Bark and Rock rivers, it is part of the watershed of the Mississippi River. It rises in southwestern Waukesha County and flows generally westwardly into Jefferson County, past the village of Palmyra. It joins the Bark River in Jefferson County, 4 miles (6 km) north of Whitewater. The U.S. Board on Geographic Names settled on "Scuppernong River" as the stream's name in 1906. According to the Geographic Names Information System, it has also been known historically as "Schupernong River", "Scupernong River", and "Scuppernong Creek." According to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, the name Scuppernong comes from a Ho-Chunk word meaning “sweet-scented land.”
