Coulby Newham is an area in the Borough of Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England, with a resident population of 10,700, measured at 8,967 (Coulby Newham Ward) at the 2011 Census.

Newham Grange Country Farm (also known as Newham Grange Leisure Farm) is a farm park and conservation centre located on Wykeham Way in Coulby Newham, Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England. It is one of only 16 nationally approved by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust. It is open to the public and has many different breeds, including British White and Beef Shorthorn cattle, Whitefaced Woodland and Wensleydale sheep, Berkshire and Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs and various other farm animals.Historical exhibits include a reproduction of a 19th-century veterinary surgery and an early 20th-century agricultural merchants shop. The Visitor Centre traces the history of the farm from the 17th century. There are tea rooms, play and picnic areas and an events programme throughout the year.

Tollesby is a residential area within the Middlesbrough ward of Ladgate in North Yorkshire, England. It is south-east of the Middlesbrough Municipal Golf Course. The area was previously a separate hamlet near Marton-in-Cleveland before being absorbed with Middlesbrough, with its neighbour. The local schools are Easterside Academy, Holmwood and St Thomas More Primary.

Middlesbrough Rural District was a rural district in the North Riding of Yorkshire, England from 1894 to 1932. It was based on the Middlesbrough rural sanitary district created in 1875, which consisted of the Middlesbrough poor law union, except those parts in urban sanitary districts (that is: Middlesbrough, Eston (from 1884) and Thornaby). The rural district from 1894 consisted of the following parishes Hemlington Ingleby Barwick Linthorpe Maltby Marton Stainton West AcklamIn 1913, Ormesby, formerly an urban district, became part of the rural district, whilst Linthorpe was added to the county borough of Middlesbrough. Middlesbrough Rural District was abolished in 1932, with parts of the parishes of Hemlington, Marton, Ormesby and West Acklam becoming part of the county borough of Middlesbrough, and the rest becoming part of the Stokesley Rural District.

Hemlington is an area of Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England. It is centred around a lake and is in the Borough of Middlesbrough's south-western outskirts. In 2015, the Hemlington Ward had a population of 6,557, 4.74% of Middlesbrough's resident population. It is east of the Stainton and Thornton parish and partly in the parish's namesake ward: it is also west Coulby Newham.

Easterside is an area in the Ladgate ward of Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England. It is bounded to the east by Marton Road (A172) and by B1380 (Ladgate Lane) to the south. It had a population of 2,842 in 2011.

Newby is a village and civil parish in the Hambleton district of North Yorkshire, England. Close to the border with the borough of Middlesbrough and 7 miles (11 km) from the centre of Middlesbrough. Newby is located 6.3 miles (10.1 km) west from the North York Moors at its closest point, which became a National Park in 1952. According to the United Kingdom Census 2011 Newby had a total population of 214.

Newlands Catholic School FCJ, was a mixed 11–16 Catholic, state school in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England. The school was awarded Specialist Maths and Computing College status. It was owned by a religious order, the Faithful Companions of Jesus (FCJs) who originally came to Middlesbrough in the 19th century at the request of the Bishops. It was originally a girls school before it was amalgamated with St Mary's the local boys school. The school motto was Fortiter Et Recte, which in Latin means "Bravely and Justly". In 2009 Newlands School was officially renamed as Trinity Catholic College after amalgamating with St. David's School, Middlesbrough.

Marton (officially Marton-in-Cleveland) is an area of Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England. Until the 1950s, it was a small village next to the hamlet of Tollesby in Yorkshire's North Riding. The Marton parish originally stretched north to the River Tees, however with the expansion of Middlesbrough, the parish became progressively smaller, ultimately becoming a suburb of south Middlesbrough. Attractions include Stewart Park, a large public park given by a former councillor, Dormund Stewart, to the people of Middlesbrough in 1928. At the 2011 census, the Marton Ward (Marton East since 2015) had a population of 4,728 while Marton West Ward had a population of 5,305.
