Victor (village), New York

Victor is an incorporated town in Ontario County, New York, United States. The population was 15,969 at the time of the 2020 census. The town is named after Claudius Victor Boughton, an American hero of the War of 1812. The Town of Victor contains a village, also called Victor. The town is in the northwest corner of Ontario County and is southeast of Rochester. Victor is part of the Greater Rochester area; Victor's strategic location led to extensive suburban growth in the late 20th and early 21st century. Victor is the largest of Rochester's suburbs to be located outside of Monroe County, the home of more than two-thirds of the Greater Rochester population. The Village of Victor is 12 miles (19 km) from the head of Canandaigua Lake, the fourth largest of the Finger Lakes.

Osborne House is a historic home located at Victor in Ontario County, New York, USA. It is a two story with full attic Italian Villa style dwelling built about 1855. Surmounting the hip roof is a notable cupola. Contributing structures on the property are a carriage barn, smokehouse, corn crib, and chicken house.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Auburn Trail is a multi-use rail trail located principally in the towns of Victor and Farmington, Ontario County, New York (USA). It is approximately 11 miles (18 km) long and maintained by the Towns of Victor and Farmington and Victor Hiking Trails. The trail mostly follows the alignment of the Auburn and Rochester Railroad. Additional disconnected portions of the Auburn trail are found in the Towns of Pittsford and Brighton, Monroe County, NY. Victor Senior High School is a public high school located in Victor, New York, and is part of the encompassing Victor Central School District. It is a four year high school covering grades 9-12, which regularly receives both national and state recognition for excellence in education. Classes are scheduled into 85-minute block periods and follow New York State standards in curriculum. Victor Senior High School offers students 17 Advanced Placement (AP) courses, International Baccalaureate (IB) courses, dual enrollment courses affiliated with FLCC and RIT, engineering courses that follow the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) curriculum, and technical career courses at the Finger Lakes Technical and Career Center (BOCES). On April 20, 2018 it was announced that Assistant Principal Brian Siesto would become the new principal starting in the 2018–2019 school year, as Yvonne O’Shea was to retire. The assistant principals are currently Brian Siesto, Carrie Goodell, and Amy Shannon.

Ganondagan State Historic Site, (pronounced ga·NON·da·gan) also known as Boughton Hill, is a Native American historic site in Ontario County, New York in the United States. Location of the largest Seneca village of the 17th century, the site is in the present-day Town of Victor, southwest of the Village of Victor. The village was also referred to in various spellings as Gannagaro, Canagora, Gandagora, Gandagaro and Gannontaa.It consists of two areas: the 245-acre (99 ha) Boughton Hill portion, the area of longhouses and burials, has been designated as a National Historic Landmark. It has been identified as the location of the Jesuit Mission of St. Jacques (or St. James), which was mentioned in the Jesuit Relations. The Fort Hill portion was the location of a fortified granary and consists of 33 acres (13 ha); it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The complex is operated by the state of New York.

Felt Cobblestone General Store is a historic general store located at the hamlet of East Victor in Victor in Ontario County, New York. It was constructed about 1835 and is a two-story, three bay cobblestone structure in the late Federal / early Greek Revival style. It is built of irregularly shaped, multi-colored field cobbles. It is one of approximately 101 cobblestone buildings in Ontario County and one of approximately 20 commercial cobblestone structures in New York State. The store was known to be one of only 5 stores in New York State licensed to sell coca wine. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

WBER is a listener and school district supported community radio station in Rochester, New York, United States, owned and operated by the BOCES, Monroe #1. The station was founded in 1985. The call letters correspond to BOCES Educational Radio, with the pre-1985 call letters (WRHR) corresponding to Rush Henrietta Radio, the original licensee of the station (the Rush-Henrietta Central School District). The station's playlist is Alternative radio, with some new titles added to the regular rotation via a "test track," listener-reporting mechanism. WBER also presents local concerts by popular performers.

Valentown Hall is the name of an abandoned historic shopping and community center located in Victor, New York. The structure was built in 1879 by Levi Valentine, and today it is operated as a museum on the National Register of Historic Places.

Eastview Mall, located in Victor, New York (near Rochester, New York), is an upscale indoor shopping center owned and managed by Wilmorite Properties. The mall features JCPenney, Macy's, Von Maur, and Dick's House of Sports. Eastview is located just off New York State Thruway (Interstate 90) Exit 45 on New York State Route 96. This 1,375,097-square-foot (127,751 m2) shopping center has 144 stores and services including some that are unique to the Rochester-area market. Eastview Mall serves the entire Metro-Rochester, NY region, attracting customers from throughout Western NY, as well as visitors to the nearby Finger Lakes Vineyards and resort lake towns.
