Bryn (pronunciation ) is a residential and industrial area of Oslo, Norway. The Alna River runs through the neighborhood.

Bryn Station (Norwegian: Bryn stasjon) is a railway station on the Trunk Line located in the Bryn neighborhood of the Gamle Oslo borough of Oslo, Norway. Situated 3.89 kilometers (2.42 mi) from Oslo Central Station, it features two platforms. The Loenga–Alnabru Line passes through the station without a platform. Bryn is served by the L1 line of Vy's Oslo Commuter Rail. The station was opened on 1 September 1854, but was originally only a halt to test brakes. Ticket sales commenced in 1858. A new, brick station building was erected in 1884. A new wooden station building was finished on the north side in 1902, designed by and is one of Norway's nine first stations. The original building, designed by Finn Ivar Andreas Knudsen. The station has been proposed redeveloped as a major transit hub for eastern Oslo.

Østre Aker Church is a parish church at the neighborhood of Ulven in northeastern part of Oslo, Norway. The church building from 1860 in neo-Gothic style has exterior walls of brick, while the interior walls are covered with wood. The master masonry brothers Carl, Ferdinand and Albert Unger was commissioned to make the church the most alike Vestre Aker Church as possible. Østre Aker Church was consecrated 5 September 1860 with, among others, Prince Oscar present. Electricity was installed in 1925 and the church got chandeliers in 1928. Architect Helge Thiis was at the same time commissioned to make changes to improve the church interior.The church is in a picturesque landscape and surrounded by many large trees on a green cemetery. In front of the church's main entrance is the sculpture "Hvilende kvinne" ("Reclining woman"), made by sculptor Maria Vigeland from 1970.Inside the church are eight monolith columns, carved in whole pieces of local grefsensyenitt. The church has a rose window promoting the church, designed by Frøydis Haavardsholm and created by art glazier G. A. Larsen. It shows blessing by Jesus of small children. The baptismal font in sandstone is from 1860. The altarpiece in wood from 1928 is created by woodcarver Thorleif Sohlberg. The pulpit is located to the left of the chancel. The origin of the 46-voice church organ from the second half of the nineteenth century is disputed.Østre Aker Church is listed 85915 by the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage.

Brynseng is a rapid transit station on the Oslo Metro system located in the Helsfyr borough. The station is shared by three lines, the Østensjø Line (Line 3), the Furuset Line (Line 2) and the Lambertseter Line (Line 1 and 4). The station has four platforms. The two northernmost platforms are for trains on the Østensjø- and Furuset Line. The Lambertseter Line uses the two other platforms before turning south and leaving the other two lines. At Brynseng Station is one of the train yards for the metro operator Oslo T-banedrift.

Høyenhall is a rapid transit station on the Lambertseter Line of the Oslo Metro. Served by Line 4, it is the first station on the Lambertseter Line not shared with any other line. It is located between Brynseng and Manglerud, 5.2 kilometres (3.2 mi) away from Stortinget. The station was opened as a tram station in 1957, and as a metro station on 22 May 1966. The architects were Thorvald and Henning Astrup.

Intility Arena, also referred to as Vålerenga Stadion, is an association football stadium in Oslo, Norway. The stadium is the home stadium for the Vålerenga Fotball, currently playing in the Eliteserien, and it has a seating capacity of 16,555 people.The stadium plans were accepted by the city council of Oslo in 2014 and by EEA in June 2015. Construction started in August 2015, and the stadium opened in September 2017. The stadium was initially called Vålerenga kultur- og idrettspark.

Valle-Hovin is a neighborhood in Oslo, Norway, best known for the sports and music venue of the same name. It consists of two neighborhoods with unclear boundaries, Valle and Hovin. Valle was a farm under Nonneseter but was bought by private owners in 1765; the farm Hovin was probably under Torshov, then under Oslo Cathedral before the Reformation. It was bought by private owners in 1664. The farms Valle and Hovin were both bought by Oslo Municipality in 1915. The municipality planned to use the area for an airfield in the 1930s, but in the 1960s, it was decided that a sports complex Valle Hovin would be created. It is also used for larger musical shows. In 2001, the indoor arena, mostly used for soccer, Vallhall Arena was opened. In 2017, in Vålerengas, a new stadium, Intility Arena was opened.The area was also built up during the 1950s, mostly with apartment blocks. The area is served by Helsfyr station on the Oslo Metro.

Kuben Upper Secondary School (Norwegian: Kuben videregående skole) is an upper secondary school at Økern in Oslo, Norway. The school is part of Kuben Vocational Arena, and is Oslo's largest Upper secondary school, with approximately 1,850 students. Kuben shares the arena with Oslo Technical School.The school's first principal is Kjell Ove Hauge, a former All-American and international track and field athlete.

Vallhall Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena, located in Valle-Hovin, Oslo, Norway. The stadium has a capacity of 5,500 people, during matches. The Tippeligaen club Vålerenga uses the arena for training and friendly matches in the winter off-season. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The arena also serves as an event arena. The arena is also a well-known concert hall, with a capacity of 12,500 people. It's not far away from Valle Hovin, an outdoor concert arena. On 22 April 2001, Irish vocal pop band Westlife held a concert for their Where Dreams Come True Tour supporting their album Coast to Coast.

Hellerud is a station on the Oslo Metro system which is shared by two lines, line 2 (the Furuset Line) and line 3 (the Østensjø Line). These two lines diverge immediately east of the station with the eastbound Furuset Line track first diverging southwards before running under the Østensjø Line in order to avoid having the main tracks cross each other. The lines share the same track and platforms. The station is located in a mostly residential area, formerly called the Hellerud borough. Apartment buildings located mainly to the north side of the station. To the south on the Østensjø Line the next station is Godlia, to the north on the Furuset Line the next station is Tveita, and on the inbound line westwards the next station is Brynseng. The station was opened 29 October 1967 as part of the Østensjø Line, with the line to Furuset coming three years later. Karl Stenersen was the station's architect.

Valle Hovin is both a bandy and speed skating rink in cold weather, and an outdoor stadium for concerts in warm weather, in Oslo, Norway. Located in the residential area Valle-Hovin, in amongst trees and a park, one finds Valle Hovin. It is reachable from the Lines 1, 2, 3, and 4 reaching the Helsfyr station of the Oslo T-bane metro system, and additionally via two bus lines as well as substantial parking for automobiles. As a concert venue Valle Hovin can hold at least 40,000 people, many of whom stand on the concrete floor where the rink is laid in winter. Many internationally famous popular music acts have appeared there, the first one being Tina Turner on 20 June 1987. Prior to a June 1995 expansion, the concert capacity was 30,000. As a concert venue it is not always thought of as best, due to lack of seating and limited sightlines once well back in the crowd, but it offers larger capacity than the indoor Oslo Spektrum and is sometimes deemed preferable to Ullevaal Stadion due to having a concrete floor that cannot be damaged by stage and moving equipment as can that football ground's more delicate turf. It was the main arena for the Bandy World Championship 1985.

The Alna River (Norwegian: Alnaelva) is a river that runs through Oslo, Norway, from Alnsjøen to the Oslo Fjord at Bjørvika. It also drains Breisjøen, Steinbruvann, Tokerudbekken, and Østensjøvannet. It runs through the boroughs of Gamle Oslo, Nordstrand, Helsfyr, Østensjø, Alna, and Grorud. Large sections of the river run in culverts and the river is highly polluted, partially because it is used as a sewer drain. The Municipality of Oslo is creating linked walking trails and green spaces along the length of the Alna.
