Aberedw

Aberedw railway station served the village of Aberedw in Powys, Wales. Aberedw Castle was demolished to build the station and some of the stone from the castle was used as track ballast.

Alltmawr is a village in the community of Erwood, Powys, Wales, which is 44 miles (71 km) from Cardiff and 144 miles (232 km) from London. St Mauritius Church at Alltmawr is counted as being one of the smallest in Wales.

The remains of Aberedw Castle, also known as 'Castle in Elfael Uwch Mynydd', are located at the small village of Aberedw in the county of Powys, Mid-Wales. It was built in the late twelfth century and probably replaced the motte and bailey castle a few hundred metres away.

Llanfaredd Halt railway station was an unstaffed railway station opened by the Great Western Railway on 7 May 1934 on the old Mid-Wales line between Builth Wells railway station and Aberedw railway station in Powys, Wales. The rarely used station consisted of a small wooden platform and shelter, on the eastern side of the single line. After closure on 31 December 1962 the station was demolished and station area and trackbed has been levelled into a field. Not far away was a spur to the Builth Stone quarries.

Brecon and Radnorshire (Welsh: Brycheiniog a Sir Faesyfed) was a county constituency in Wales of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. Created in 1918, it elected one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first-past-the-post system of election. The constituency was abolished as part of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies and under the June 2023 final recommendations of the Boundary Commission for Wales. The entire constituency became part of the newly named constituency of Brecon, Radnor and Cwm Tawe.

Brecon and Radnorshire (Welsh: Brycheiniog a Sir Faesyfed) is a constituency of the Senedd. It elects one Member of the Senedd by the first past the post method of election. Also, however, it is one of eight constituencies in the Mid and West Wales electoral region, which elects four additional members, in addition to eight constituency members, to produce a degree of proportional representation for the region as a whole. It is currently represented by James Evans MS, of the Conservatives who has been the MS since May 2021.

Builth Castle (Welsh: Castell Llanfair-ym-Muallt) was a castle built under King Edward I, just outside Builth Wells, Powys, Wales. At one time it was an impressive stone-built castle but all the masonry has been removed over the years and all that remains are the mound on which it stood, the ditches and embankments.

Llanelwedd [ɬanˈɛlwɛð] is a village and community near Builth Wells, in Powys, Wales. It lies within the historic boundaries of Radnorshire. Llanelwedd features the Royal Welsh Showground.

Colwyn was, from 1894 to 1974, a rural district in the administrative county of Radnorshire, Wales. The district was formed by the Local Government Act 1894, when the existing Builth Rural Sanitary District was divided into two: the section in Breconshire was reconstituted as Builth Rural District and that in Radnorshire as Colwyn Rural District. The new district took its name from the ancient hundred of Colwyn. The council continued to be based in Builth Wells in Breconshire. The rural district comprised ten civil parishes: The district was abolished in 1974 under the Local Government Act 1972, which completely reorganised local administration in England and Wales. Its area became part of the District of Radnor in the new county of Powys.

Builth Wells railway station, in Llanelwedd Powys Wales was opened as Builth station on 21 September 1864 by the Mid-Wales Railway, although excursions ran on 19 and 20 September. It was renamed Builth Wells station in 1865 and served the town of Builth Wells. The station closed in 1962. It should not be confused with Builth Road railway station (around two miles (3.5 km) northwest of Builth Wells) which still has train services.

Builth Wells (; Welsh: Llanfair-ym-Muallt ) is a market town and community in the county of Powys and historic county of Brecknockshire (Breconshire), mid Wales, lying at the confluence of rivers Wye and Irfon, in the Welsh (or upper) part of the Wye Valley. In 2011 it had a population of 2,568.

Builth Wells Hospital (Welsh: Ysbyty Llanfair ym Muallt) was a heath facility in Bronllys, Wales. It was managed by Powys Teaching Health Board.
