Christ Church Glendower is the oldest (and most centrally located) of the historic Episcopal church buildings in St. Anne's Parish, Albemarle County, Virginia near Scottsville. Christ Church Glendower is located in Keene, built of brick in 1831 in the Roman Revival style. It features a full Doric order entablature with pediments at each end containing lunette windows, and is surrounded by a contributing cemetery. The remaining two historic churches in St. Anne's parish are also discussed below.

The Rectory, also known as Dyer's Store and Plain Dealing, is a historic home located near Keene, Albemarle County, Virginia. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Limestone, also known as Limestone Plantation and Limestone Farm, has two historic homes and a farm complex located near Keswick, Albemarle County, Virginia. The main dwelling at Limestone Farm consists of a long, narrow two-story central section flanked by two wings. the main section was built about 1840, and the wings appear to be two small late-18th-century dwellings that were incorporated into the larger building. It features a two-story porch. The house underwent another major renovation in the 1920s, when Colonial Revival-style detailing was added. The second dwelling is the Robert Sharp House, also known as the Monroe Law Office. It was built in 1794, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, brick and frame structure measuring 18 feet by 24 feet. Also on the property are a contributing shed (garage), corncrib (c. 1910), cemetery, a portion of a historic roadway, and a lime kiln known as "Jefferson's Limestone Kiln" (1760s). Limestone's owner in the late-18th century, Robert Sharp, was a neighbor and acquaintance of Thomas Jefferson. The property was purchased by James Monroe in 1816, after the death of Robert Sharp in 1808, and he put his brother Andrew Monroe in charge of its administration. The property was sold at auction in 1828.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

Plain Dealing is a historic home located near Keene, Albemarle County, Virginia. It is an H-shaped dwelling, consisting of a two-story main block and a parallel 1+1⁄2-story rear wing connected by a two-story hyphen. The two-story main section was built about 1787, and the 1+1⁄2-story wing may predate it. The front facade is five bays wide, and features an original tetrastyle porch supported on Doric order piers. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The district includes 23 properties previously listed on the National Register of Historic Places.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Mount Ida is a historic home located near Scottsville, Albemarle County, Virginia. It was built between about 1785 and 1805, and is a two-story, five-bay frame plantation house. It has a one-bay west wing. The interior features a parlor with elaborately carved paneling. The house was moved to a 422.65-acre site, with an elevated knoll located along a bend in the Hardware River, in 1995.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Keene is an unincorporated community in Albemarle County, Virginia, United States. As of the 1990 census, the town had a total population of 10. The town is known for being the location of the last sighting of a passenger pigeon in the wild, by Theodore Roosevelt. Roosevelt had "the first Camp David", called Pine Knot, here from 1905. Christ Church Glendower, Plain Dealing, and The Rectory are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.Mount Pleasant Baptist Church is a historically black church in Keene. In December 1974, the pastor was Rev. Frank Montague. The church held a Christmas Bazaar on Saturday December 14 of that year, sponsored by the Keene Birthday Club.

High Meadows, also known as Peter White House, is a historic home located near Scottsville, Albemarle County, Virginia.

Cliffside is a historic home located near Scottsville, Albemarle County, Virginia. It was built in 1835, and is a two-story, brick central passage plan dwelling on a high basement in the Federal style. A side passage rear ell was added between about 1850 and 1860. Both sections have low-pitched gable roofs and the front facade features an original single-story, tetrastyle Greek Revival portico. Also on the property are a contributing structure, the "Ginger House", a one-story frame office/schoolhouse probably erected in the mid-19th century, and the family cemetery. The house served as General Philip Sheridan's headquarters during the American Civil War.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. It is located in the Scottsville Historic District.
