Spodnja Libna (pronounced [ˈspoːdnja ˈliːbna]) is a settlement east of the town of Krško in eastern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Lower Sava Statistical Region.

The Krško Nuclear Power Plant (Slovene: Jedrska elektrarna Krško, JEK, or Nuklearna elektrarna Krško, NEK, [ˈkə́ɾʃkɔ]; Croatian: Nuklearna elektrana Krško) is located in Vrbina in the Municipality of Krško, Slovenia. The plant was connected to the power grid on October 2, 1981 and went into commercial operation on January 15, 1983. It was built as a joint venture by Slovenia and Croatia which were at the time both part of Yugoslavia. The plant is a 2-loop Westinghouse pressurized water reactor, with a rated thermal capacity of 1,994 thermal megawatts (MWt) and 696 megawatts-electric (MWe). It runs on enriched uranium (up to 5 weight-percent 235U), fuel mass 48.7 t, with 121 fuel elements, demineralized water as the moderator, and 36 bundles of 20 control rods each made of silver, indium and cadmium alloys to regulate power. Its sister power plant is Angra I in Brazil.The operating company Nuklearna elektrarna Krško (NEK) is co-owned by the Slovenian state-owned company Gen Energija and the Croatian state-owned company Hrvatska elektroprivreda (HEP). The power plant provides more than one-quarter of Slovenia's and 15% of Croatia's power.

Libna (pronounced [ˈliːbna], in older sources Libno, German: Loibenberg) is a settlement in the hills immediately east of the town of Krško in eastern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Lower Sava Statistical Region.The local church is dedicated to Saint Margaret (Slovene: sveta Marjeta) and belongs to the Parish of Videm–Krško. It has a rectangular nave with a three-sided apse and dates to 1580. It was restyled in the Baroque style in 1765.

Žadovinek (pronounced [ʒadɔˈʋiːnək]; in older sources also Zadovinek: 78 ) is a settlement on the right bank of the Sava River, east of Leskovec in the Municipality of Krško in eastern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola. It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Lower Sava Statistical Region.

Nogometni klub Krško (English: Krško Football Club), commonly referred to as NK Krško or simply Krško, is a Slovenian football club from Krško which plays in the Slovenian Second League. The club was founded in 1922.

Kremen (pronounced [ˈkɾɛːmɛn]) is a settlement in the hills immediately northeast of the town of Krško in eastern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Lower Sava Statistical Region.The local church is dedicated to Saints Primus and Felician and belongs to the Parish of Videm–Krško. It has a rectangular nave with a three-sided apse and dates to 1654. The main altar is from the 18th century.

The Lower Sava Valley (Slovene: Posavje, also Spodnje Posavje and Posavska regija) is a region in southeastern Slovenia on the border with Croatia. It has three major urban centers: Brežice, Krško, and Sevnica. Its borders are almost identical with those of the Lower Sava Statistical Region. It extends along the lower part of the Sava River, on the border with Croatia. In terms of its acreage, it is the second smallest region in Slovenia because it has only 885 km2 and covers 4.4 percent of Slovenia’s territory. The following municipalities are part of the Lower Sava Valley: Krško, Brežice, Sevnica, Kostanjevica na Krki, Radeče, and Bistrica ob Sotli. The Lower Sava Valley is a popular tourist destination due to its cultural, natural, and historical riches. Local culinary specialties, high-quality wines, and towns with rich heritage offer many opportunities for both fun and relaxation. There are many walking trails, riding trails, golf courses, and spas.

Krško (pronounced [ˈkə́ɾʃkɔ] ; German: Gurkfeld) is a town in eastern Slovenia. It is the seat of the City Municipality of Krško. The town lies on the Sava River and on the northwest edge of the Krško Plain (Slovene: Krško polje), which is part of the larger Krka Flat (Slovene: Krška ravan). The area is divided between the traditional regions of Styria (territory on the left bank of the Sava) and Lower Carniola (territory on the right bank of the Sava). The entire municipality is now included in the Lower Sava Statistical Region. Slovenia's only nuclear power plant, the Krško Nuclear Power Plant, lies southeast of the town.

The Urban Municipality of Krško (pronounced [ˈkə́ɾʃkɔ] ; Slovene: Mestna občina Krško) is an urban municipality in eastern Slovenia. Its seat is the town of Krško. The area is traditionally divided between Lower Styria (territory on the left bank of the Sava) and Lower Carniola (territory on the right bank of the Sava). The entire municipality is now included in the Lower Sava Statistical Region. Krško received the status of an urban municipality in December 2021. It borders Croatia.
