The Shaler North Hills Library is the public library serving Shaler Township, Pennsylvania, the Shaler Area School District and environs. The library can be found in Glenshaw, Pennsylvania, the central municipality of Shaler Township, located 7.2 miles (11.6 km) north northeast of Pittsburgh. A community and cultural resource since 1942, the Shaler North Hills Library offers a variety of materials and services. Shaler North Hills Library holds over 120,000 titles at its single branch location, including fiction and non-fiction books, DVDs, music CDs, audio books, and magazines, along with online resources. The Library also has access to the materials of all other participating Allegheny County Library Association libraries.

The bridge is a high quality ashlar construction with the single span covering 63 feet. Stone arch bridges are rare in western Pennsylvania.The bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 22, 1988.

ScareHouse is a haunted attraction now located within The Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 2013 CBS News called ScareHouse "One of America's Scariest Haunted Houses". The ScareHouse offers heavily themed attractions or "haunts" which are significantly revised on a yearly basis along with an interactive, immersive, 18 and over attraction titled "The Basement".

Evergreen Hamlet is a historic district in Ross Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, USA. It was a planned community that was founded by William Shinn in 1851. Joseph W. Kerr (1815–1888) designed all four of the Evergreen Hamlet houses. The community was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 17, 1974.

WAOB (860 kHz) is an AM radio station licensed to Millvale, Pennsylvania and serving Greater Pittsburgh. It is owned by St. Joseph Ministries and carries a Catholic talk and teaching radio format. Some shows are locally produced in cooperation with the Diocese of Pittsburgh and some are from EWTN Radio. The studios and offices are on Ligonier Street in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. For 50 years, the station had served Pittsburgh's African-American community as WAMO (now on AM 660). By day, WAOB transmits with 1,000 watts, but because 860 AM is a clear channel frequency reserved for CJBC Toronto, WAOB must reduce power at night to 830 watts to avoid interference. It uses a directional antenna at all times. Programming is simulcast on 106.7 WAOB-FM in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, and WPGR 1510 AM in Monroeville, Pennsylvania.
